First off, the wait staff is so friendly and high spirited, their smiles and laughter were infectious! They kept refills on our coffee coming, and constantly checked in to see if we needed anything once the food arrived/we were digging in. The food is FANTASTIC! You can tell everything is fresh made, and made by someone who loves their job. My husband had the country fried steak and LOVED it; gravy was flavorful, batter on the meat was crispy and light. My aunt had a Swiss and kielbasa omelette and she said she'll be coming back for another soon! I had the corned beef has--not from a can at this place! the corned beef is cooked in-house, then thinly shaved, so it crisps when it's fried with the onions, green peppers and hashed potatoes. This is a solid breakfast option in the White Lake area. My veggie omelette had the perfect proportions of cheese, eggs, and veggies. Wanted to try something g new. And saw some good reviews. Boy are they wrong or we got them on a BAD day. Immediately greeted by a rude waitress. After we sat at a table near the counter, we ordered fairly quickly and our meals were simple. Our waitress was fine, not friendly but not rude. While we waited, we barely could have our own conversation cuz all we could hear is the wait staffing talking bad about other wait staff and customers that has just left. When we got our order of biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were hard and dry and the gravy was legitimately cold like it sat is a cooler! The bacon was burnt and the hash browns half cooked. The lady who was cooking, unsure if a manager or not, did try and apologize which was appreciated, but was followed everything up with an excuse that they're trying to close. When ever I come in here for breakfast no matter what I order has been spot on & most enjoyable. Western or ham & cheese omelettes have been done properly and tasty. Choice of potatoes done the way you wish. The owner & servers are always prompt, courteous and enjoy seeing and talking to you. Coffee cup is kept filled. The place is always clean. I am really confused by the reviews for this place, there was absolutely nothing special about this place. This is your averga diner/coney experience but with a smaller footprint. When we arrived we were unsure if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated as there was no sign. Several servers saw us but said nothing. After a few minutes one finally came over and told us to sit wherever we like. We took a few minutes to look over the menu, which was standard breakfast items, omeletts, eggs, pancakes etc. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette and he had biscuits and gravy. The food was just ok. In fat my omelet was weird. The whole point of an omelette that the ingredients are inside the eggs. To my surprise the cheese was not inside the omelette but melted on top. They literally took what appears to be Kraft processed cheeses and melted it on top. Needless to say, it wasnt the best. I see no reason to return here as there are some really good breakfasts places in the area. We only tried this place because we needed to be across the street at the car dealer afterwards. read more

I've been going here for years (back when it was Dave's Coney and since changing owner's a few times) and I can say with confidence that WL Bruch finally hit the nail on the head. With a newly renovated space, pristine bathroom, friendly staff and great food for a lower-than-average price. It's not the wait that bothered me, it's the handling of the food I found the most concerning. I understand wearing gloves to make and prep food, but PLEASE change them out at some point. Watching someone touch their face, nose and clothes and then touch my food was really un-appetizing. I was looking for a good place to eat, and never have been here, we called this place before arriving since they were closing soon. The owner said we can come in, and typically I'd be rushed at any other restaurant but not here! I was so surprised by the OUTSTANDING customer service! The owner is the SWEETEST person ever. So let me start of saying I do not leave reviews barely ever, but this restaurant right here is just amazing. Especially the server Lisa. You will be super lucky if you get her to serve you. She is on top of stuff. She was quick loving always has a smile on her face. This is my second time here and this is now my favorite restaurant. She even went as far as asking if I wanted her to butter my French toast for me and when I was done she even put everything in to go containers. I also was a pain and wanted to eat outside where there is two tables but not frequently used so there is nothing on the tables like jelly sugar menus etc. She goes out of her way to set it up for me with a smile on her face. The food is excellent I got French toast and county skillet and man the food is amazing for a decent price. You get better food and a lot more food for the price of a McDonald's meal. Went to lunch at White Lake Brunch on a recommendation of a friend. I ordered the tuna melt (only to find out a few minutes later that they were out of tuna), so I then ordered the Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich and my husband had an omelet with a side of pancakes. My sandwich was delicious and too big to finish! My husbands meal was equally good! The owner came out as we were about to leave and apologized about the tuna. We will definitely return! read more

Anyone giving this place more than 2 stars is obviously an employee or family member. The decor is dated and shoddy, the service is lacking, and the food is terrible! I ordered a corned beef omelet and it tasted like the cook threw an entire raw onion into the mix. Also, the cheese used was sliced prepackaged cheese! The waitress never came to check on us and forgot my coffee several times. To add insult to injury, when I complained to the waitress, she said "sorry we have a fill in cook", and never bothered to take the omelet off my bill.
