My husband and I love thai food and were really craving pad thai so looked around the warwick area for a restaurant. This was by far the worst pad thai I've ever had. The chicken was slimy and inedible and the sauce came on the side (similar to seven moons in nk which is also not so great). I decided to steer clear of the chicken after a bite and then my husband got really sick from his dish after we got home. 2 stars because the hot and sour soup was good. Veg dumplings were just like the frozen potstickers I get from stop and shop but less flavor. Definitely would not return. read more

They apparently have a room or space for special functions/ larger groups as we saw a group hilariously bringing in a large array of very Italian desserts for a birthday. First let me begin, the food was like McDonald's of Asian food. Fast and tasted bland. The waitress was horrible! And imagine this, her name was Joy! She was so not full of joy. Looked like she had been sucking a lemon all day, so miserable. She took our order and when I asked her what a dish was I thought she was going to have a stroke, as I guess I put her out. Crazy huh?. She never came back to the table to ask if we were happy with the food, never gave us a plate for the bones for our chicken wings or napkins. Never had a bad meal at Lemongrass! Love their pineapple fried rice! Great portions and one combination platter is enough for two- General Tso's being the best! The crab Rangoon are great as well. The only reason it gets 3 stars and not 4 is because the service staff can be a bit slow and inattentive but you can always depend on the food being good! read more

Yum yum yum. Everything from sushi to pad thai. Vegan options available. You'll leave full and happy. Take out is also great - stuff is usually ready pretty quickly. Plenty of parking, and we've never waited more than 5 minutes for a table. read more

My five star rating is in the scope of what's available locally. I've lived in Warwick six months now, and hadn't been able to find a Chinese food restaurant I'd rate higher than sub-par. Until now. On a friend's suggestion I tried Lemongrass, and it hit it out of the park. Admittedly, I know nothing of their other styles of food, since I was so adamant about finding Chinese food. For what it's worth though, they seem to have a nice menu with both Japanese and Thai dishes. I had Sesame chicken, fried rice, chicken fingers, and for the hell of it, tempura vegetables; your basic Americanized Chinese food. Each I would rate higher than a similar dish from any of the four or five other places I've tried. There's very little chance I will order take out from any other similar restaurant at this point. I'll try their Thai eventually too. Bottom line, I was so happy to finally find a decent Chinese food restaurant in the area, I made my first review. It's not the best I've ever had regardless of location, but it's at least in the realm; and more appropriately, it's better than anything else you're getting in this area. read more

My family loves this restaurant! The food is so fresh and the service is always on point. We've rarely had a long wait time and some of the staff knows us already. The chkn pad Thai is real good and so are the hot crunchy wings, girlfriend and I eat there every Thursday night or Friday night. Waitress is very good,sociable and helpful. This place is pretty good. However, I don't think it quite meets the 4-star standard. It was decent food, I'd go there again, but I wouldn't go with balls on (excited about what I was going to it)... it just wasn't that good. The place was hopping on Saturday, but they were able to get us a table within 20 minutes (point for Lemongrass). The drinks were stiff (second point for Lemongrass). The Nime Chow was good (third point for Lemongrass). Unfortunately, that's were the points stop. There were four of us in our party and none of us were really pleased with our entrees. I ordered Pad Thai, a dish in my mind that indicates whether an Asian fusion restaurant should be on the charts or not. In this case, it was unimpressive. The atmosphere is fun at the bar and romantic at the tables. The decor is beautiful, I was in awe when I saw how pretty it was inside. The sushi is quite big, so open wide...the chicken pad Thai was phenomenal but the chicken fingers that came with that combo were way over fried, kinda shriveled up the chicken. Tons of parking, and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes, even on a busy weekend night. I've had the dumplings and combination plates for food, so I definitely want to try some sushi and other entrees. In terms of satisfying my mother's general tso's chicken-only policy at asian restaurants and my penchant for sushi and thai food, the menu options here work well. Mom enjoyed her general tso's combo plate and I was able to order pad thai and a sushi roll (sexy lady). The sushi was pretty good, and I'd want to come back and try more of their fairly large menu. The pad thai was fine but nothing special - I've had better in other places - but for Warwick, it wasn't bad. It is very much Americanized asian food here, but within that genre, I think it does things pretty well. So far, this is my top choice in Warwick when I'm home to visit. read more

I went to this restaurant for the first time for lunch and then for dinner. It is a GREAT restaurant for lunch. Huge portions, pretty good staff, and quick turn around, really reasonable prices for the quality. I had the Japanese lunch, which was descent for the price. A huge bowl of miso soup, which I love, and 1 piece Unagi, 5 pieces sweet potato maki, and some wierd diced shrimp rolled up. The shrimp roll was prettty gross, but the sweet potato was great. I also ordered an appetizer platter. The Nim Chow was vegetarian and very tasty. Way too much noodles inside, but that seems to be the norm in the restaurants. The vietnamese fried eggrolls were also home made and okay. The flavor was somewhat off, and I did not find them edible, but my boyfriend loved them! I would rate 4 stars for lunch and 3 stars for dinner. Dinner we ordered, General Taos's Shrimp, Crispy Shrimp, Lemongrass Chicken and Pork. The lemongrass curry tasted like it had too much SUGAR in the sauce, and the flavor was not quite rightly balanced due to the high sugar content in the curry. Personally, I think coconut milk is sweet enough on its own, but didn't like how they seasoned it. Not particularly authentic, nor tasty. The rest of the dishes were sadly mediocre, so can not ever recommend for dinner, if people are coming from out of town. Jackie's Galaxy would be better all around, for the Vietnamese stuff. The General Taos shrimp had a super thick gross batter fried with very little sauce. Not great. The fried shimp also had a super thick gross batter, but my boyfriend liked it. Seemed very Polynesian Chineseish - like 80's style fried bad Chinese food. I am sure somethings are really good, and others not so great. However, I would never chance a dinner with my family there again. Its descent for Rhode Island, and the service is fast, the bar looks fun, the place is huge, they take reservations, and seems to be a local favorite. But the food is eh... So, thumbs up for lunch. The people running the restaurant are very engaged, nice, and really care about your experience. The waiters will cater to customize dishes for more fees. But very happy to accomodate, and super efficient. But interms of food here, not particularly authentic, and way too much catering to some unknown unsophisticated american pallette. If you can give me more of a Vietnamese home cooking I would be much happier. Suggestions to the owners: Have an authentic menu since they have everything else. It's now over the lunch special time because she has not come to check on us. Tables have come in after us and left before us. Great food! What we ordered: nime chow, steamed dumplings, chicken Tom yam soup, pad Thai, chicken bee boong. First, the soup was FANTASTIC! So clean, fragrant, and delicious. I was turned on to this place by a co-worker and I'm glad I listened to him. I love Thai food and Lemongrass does it right. But they also do great Cantonese and Szechuan too. My favorite dish on their menu is the Baby Bok Choy with Jumbo Shrimp & Garlic. I'd would love to say that I try something different each time I visit, but that dish is just soooooo good, I always wind up ordering that! In the last few months the quality seems to have dropped. Specifically with their wings. If you are going to undercook something do it to the rice. Lemongrass is a solid place to get asian cuisine in warwick. If you're looking for Sushi it's really the only place on this side of warwick I would say is worth going to. The best thing about lemon grass is their consistency ! It's always the same .. they don't have off nights. I've been there probably 30 times since I moved to warwick (a little over two years ago) and it's always been good. The manager is there a lot of the time so you know he cares. It's always clean and the service is pretty good. I've had one bad experience ordering over the phone but I think the guy was new. The food is fresh .. my favorites are the shooting star roll, any veggie roll, veggie pad thai, nim chow, spring rolls and crab rangoon (although the best crab rangoon in Warwick is at The Islander). I wouldn't say that the pad thai is authentic having had pad thai at about 50 different restaurants all over the place now .. theirs is pretty basic .. but again .. it's solid ... consistent and always enjoyable. read more
