There's a Boss Baby that mans the counter while Dad & Mum cook. Family owned restaurant. Food is excellent. Just say extra spicy.

Fast service, delicious food, extensive menu. Great family run restaurant. Take-out only recently. Our go-to for Asian food.

Straight trash since the new ownership. How does one mess up lo mein? No flavor and wrong noodles.

Food has gone down hill since the new owners took over. Expensive and tasteless. I will give them one more try.

New owners and the food is literal trash. Everything is 100% changed. I threw everything out. Hope this helps someone not waste their money.

We got the General Tso chicken. It was WAY over done, it was like having chicken rocks. Probably won't go back

We did Plan A 2 special Rolls and Sashimi that comes with soup or salad. The boat presentation was beautiful. All of the fish was fresh, clean and not over sauced. We also did the happy maki combo of three maki rolls that also comes with soup or salad. It was so much food but the leftovers were crushed next day. Amazing staff, high quality seafood, and reasonable prices. BYOB.

With me being Asian and my family being familiar with Asian cuisine we looked forward to trying this new restaurant. We usually do a quick scan of the clientele to see if Asians are actually dining in the Asian restaurant. Didn't see many. I may have been the only Asian in our section. Staff consisted of mix of Asians and non-Asians. Before the food came out our waiter brought over a little black plate with 4 white towelettes rolled up like little marshmallows. My youngest thought it was a marshmallow and tried to eat it. We stopped him! Coincidentally, the booth behind us had a large party of adults and one of the adults did the same. Makes for a good laugh but down the road this could be a huge liability. Osaka restaurant should change up the presentation before a customer chokes on the little towelette. We started out with scallion pancakes, egg rolls, wonton soup, and hot & sour soup. Scallion pancakes were hot, crispy, and tasty. Egg rolls were blah. No flavor and all cabbage. No protein mixed in. Wonton soup is as basic as you can get. It was delicious! However, Hot and sour soup was a huge disappointment. It was dark colored water with a slight soy sauce and black pepper flavor. Where was the sour? Where was the heat? No black mushrooms. This had to be an off night for this restaurant. Taste test the batch before serving. The entrées. My son ordered sweet & sour chicken. Without requesting separate sauce, Osaka served the sauce on the side. Perfect for my son. He likes to dip the chicken into the sauce and eat with white rice. Since the chicken was served plain we all tried a piece to taste test the quality. Actually not bad. My son finished his whole dinner. Portion was huge too. My other son ordered Mala chicken. Delicious mix of chicken and vegetables with spicy heat. Huge portion. Definitely a favorite. My husband ordered Orange Chicken. Chicken was crispy on the outside, tender inside and sauce was sweet with orange flavor. Mild spice. He devoured almost all of it. Again another huge portion. I ordered the Teriyaki beef. It came with a side of steamed broccoli and rice. I chose brown rice. This beef was so tender and tasty. Melt in your mouth kind of tender. Teriyaki flavor could have been a little more intense but not bad at all. I would definitely order this again. Huge portion served. I ended up taking half of this home. It made for a pretty good lunch the next day. We finished off our meal with a shared dessert; Fried banana with vanilla ice cream. Order this dessert!! Don't live with regret missing out on this happy ending. My overall take on this place... try it out. It's Asian food in the suburbs. Not quite Chinatown or upper mainline but it's pretty good for Asian food in Downingtown. Huge portions. Some things are hit or miss but my guess is it's just starting out. Osaka is definitely worth checking out and coming back for your favorite dishes. (The other restaurants owned with Osaka are pretty good too.)

Monday through Friday if you go anytime before 3pm it's only $20 a person! Dinner time and weekends…read moreit is a bit pricey about $45-$50 a person, however it is beyond worth every penny! Now it's a buffet style restaurant, so you can just walk up and get what ever food looks good to you, so the service isn't the best once your seated! Everytime I go we are chasing or waving down servers for our drinks or for tableware! But that is literally the only bad or downside I can think of, when it comes to this restrooms! I love that you can get your favorites on a budget, plus (& eat as much as you want or can of it too) as well as you get to try different foods without breaking the bank! especially when it comes to sea food, witch can get pricey quickly especially if you have never tried that specific food before, and taste testing trying to find out what you do and don't like! You can return up for more food and you can go up as many times as you like! All the food and seafood is so fresh and everything is delicious! Some things have a little spice or kick to it, but other than that this is prolly my favorite restaurant right now! Go you won't regret it I promise you that!

Buffets are unique establishments to review. I think buffets are cater to two primary groups of…read moreindividuals: (1) people who love buffets, and (2) people who love group (1). From an objective perspective, Royal buffet is not cheap, but there will be a line going out the facility if you plan to come on the weekend after 4pm. As for the ambiance, it feels like controlled chaos: there are people and food every where you look. There is never a risk to trample over or be trampled over if you look carefully at your surrounding, but that is the general sense. Service: your table will be refreshed at regular interval and there was never a time in which our spent plates and food were staking upon each other. There is almost a birthday celebration song every 30 minutes. Food (biggest factor): there are plenty of options, and loster is the main attraction. Royal buffet understands their appeal and there seems to be a never ending supply of steamed lobsters being carried out from the kitchen. As you progress forward, there should be something for everyone, from traditional American fare (mac n cheese, fried chicken/fish etc, beef), to lo mein, fried rice, steamed sweet+savory buns, to crab legs, sushi, dessert (durian icecream). My biggest surprise was to see oxtail on the menu, but disappointed as there was insufficient cooking time to get the meat to be soft. Overall: if you are coming here to eat seafood, sushi, crab legs, and most importantly, lobster, you should set up a time to come earlier and settle in (2hr max). If you love someone who also loves buffet, you'll be pleased to see how happy you've made them.

First, the name is somewhat unusual, combining a western surname with "Asian bistro" is not something I've seen before. But enough preliminaries! The food was great!! We dined early-ish on a Saturday night for dinner. It was busy, but we were promptly seated and waited upon. We decided to start with edamame and scallion pancake. Both very good. Then we decided to share some sushi rolls. We ordered three, which was one too many! They were pretty big! We tried the Crazy Monkey roll (shrimp), the Harper roll (salmon and more) and the Spicy tuna roll. All were delicious, with the two specialty rolls being really lovely. And the presentation was beautiful. And the prices are pretty reasonable for the quality and quantity of food (we needed to-go boxes). As the name says, it's an Asian bistro so they had Chinese dishes as well on the menu. Harper's manages the clever feat of being a white table cloth, but still casual, restaurant with excellent food located in a suburban shopping center. A really nice surprise.

We got take out, but I've been told that the restaurant has a great vibe. The nigiri and hand rolls were delicious, and I also tried the crispy rice. The latter could've been a bit crispier, so I probably wouldn't order that again. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu!
