Darren is the owner and a hard working man. We learned of his shop through a tow truck driver who told us he purchased all of his tires through Darren, which is what we needed to hear. Today my tire was low, figured it had a nail in it and stopped by, no appointment, they looked at the car right away, replaced a valve stem, no charge as we had bought the tires there and away I went. We have bought 2 full sets of tires, had an oil change and had a nail pulled from a tire and we have never been there for a long wait. This is the place to go, they can get most brands and they don't have all of the ridiculous overhead or franchise fees and all of the other things that make the price of your tires go up and up. When Darren quotes you a price it is the price on the rim and out the door, not this that and the other thing added on once you get there.

So after a bit of research we chose CarFix. Glad we did! We had to get the car towed as we knew it did not have any oil in it..we thought, great, this is going to cost a fortune so they towed it in looked at the car and gave us a call with what was wrong and the cost to fix. Very reasonable based on the research I did..they told us that it would be ready on Monday (they towed it on Friday) we asked that since it was there could they please give the a/c a charge, no problem. They called Friday evening and told me I need new rear brakes which we knew about so we decided to get that done too. Everyone there was so nice and very friendly I felt as though they were honest but most of all my car runs great! We will use these guys for all our future car needs. My wife dropped the truck off at 8:00 AM while I was at work, yet I still found myself waiting past closing time to pick it up. The final bill exceeded what I would have expected to pay at a Chevrolet dealership for the same maintenance. While I understand quality work comes at a price, the value simply was not there for the amount charged. What left the strongest impression was sitting in the waiting area listening to the manager/owner conduct business calls that did not reflect the level of professionalism I expect from a company handling expensive vehicles. Between the excessive cost, the lengthy turnaround time, and the overall customer experience, this is not a shop I would choose to use again. Read the comments!

A super common problem with the model I've run into before. I brought it back to Peoples and they put a new alternator in it that day. Definitely come here first if you have an issue. I'm a woman and they didn't treat me any differently or give me the run around. I've already booked my inspection with them!

I little long but okay. 08/2014 took my 1998 Jaguar Vanden Plas for a transmission issue. He said he had a guy that could rebuild it, but he does not take them out or install them. So he said he would take it out and reinstall it when done. Skip to 1/2015, I got my car back. Only receipt said was removed transmission, reinstalled transmission and rebuilt transmission. That is it. No parts list nothing. I asked when I picked it up did he at least put a new tork converter in it. He said for that price absolutely. $ 3500.00. I do not drive the car that much, have put 20K on it since then. May 2021. transmission going into first gear slow. Took it to Accurate Transmission in Durham.
