As a young woman, I am well-versed in the stigma of dealing with employees in male-dominated service industries. Most women would rather go to the dentist than to a repair shop with the anxiety of possibly dealing with rude, snarky, dishonest employees. Not only did it not make sense that I was getting such different information from the service shops, but the manner in which I was treated was downright degrading. My family and friends told me to bring along my boyfriend in order to get up front and honest information. I explained that people can end up overpaying for services if they don't understand what's wrong with their car or the repair. This to me is unacceptable - I should not have to have a male standing beside me to be listened to, let alone actually HEARD. I did one more search and found BHC AUTOMOTIVE (which was only 6 minutes from me), and thought, "well, ill give this one more try". After replacing the "Secondary Air Injection Valve" as well as the "Fuel Pump Assembly" (NOT EASY WORK!)... I am happy to report I am now driving a legal, safety-inspected vehicle after months of headache! And for a VERY affordable price (almost half the cost of what others had quoted).
