    How many service techs does it take to change a lightbulb at Leif Johnson Ford? This is the worst Ford service experience ever in Austin, TX. It started when my daughter who is a UT student brought her car in because she couldn't see when she was driving at night. The Leif Johnson Ford service department took a few hours to diagnose it and then told my daughter there was nothing wrong, and she didn't know how to use the automatic lights. They shamed her and mansplained how nothing was wrong w/ her lights. They made her feel bad about it, and did not fix the problem. So she had to drive w/o headlights for a few more weeks. So I was in town a few weeks later visiting, and my wife and I took the car back to Leif Johnson Ford Service Department and explained the problem, and I swear we had four Leif Johnson Ford Service Techs staring at us like they didn't know what could possibly be wrong with our Ford Escape, and couldn't see anything wrong w/ the headlights. It was shocking the low level of intelligence and communication. "I don't know what it could be?" I was finally able to prove the headlights were out - and the service rep took the car for a day and changed the bulbs for us. My wife and I had to rent a car for the day, and spend hours going back and forth, after my daughter had already spent hours on her first visit to Leif Johnson Ford Service in Austin Texas. I'm not sure what is wrong with this place. If you are a woman or a University of Texas student, I would avoid this place for sure. If you want good service, I would avoid Leif Johnson Ford Service. When I spoke to the service manager and asked him about why it was so difficult for us to get our headlamp bulbs changed, he explained that all cars are different and the lighting systems are very complex. And I'm like, hey man, this 2017 Ford Escape is Ford's best selling vehicle and you're telling me your best service techs have never seen a burnt out light bulb? When all was said and done we were sent away. No discount. No apology. Only arrogance from Leif Johnson Ford. Stay far away. In my opinion this was the worst Ford Service Department Ever in Austin Texas or anywhere.

    So I left this wonderful review for Leif Johnson Ford on Konig Lane yesterday. But now I see it never saved it. I want to reach out mainly to the disabled community. The Ford dealers now have a new service. They will come pick up your car and take it back to get fixed and then drop it off to your home free of charge! I had said I never heard of this service before and I've had my Mustang for 11 years. The gentleman had said no this is New and I said oh how wonderful is this for somebody like me. Also for certain recalls, they can actually do it in the driveway of your home. I also had that experience with Leif Johnson Ford again this morning. My car is back in for a third recall and they're right on top of it they came to get it and then they'll bring it home whenever it's done. I must commend this company for seeing a whole new type of customer than they're used to. And all Ford dealerships will be offering the same service. If for some reason, they're not sure when you ask them it's because not all associates have heard of it because there's a lot of new hires in the beginning of every year. So just ask them if your car's gotta go in for anything they will come get it for you no matter how far I am 28 miles from where there are now. And they still picked it up and brought it back home free of charge. This is an outstanding service for people with disabilities or other physical types of situations. I can only drive a certain distance about maybe 15 miles at best because my legs get tired easily due to my disease called CIDP. It's a nerve disorder where your white cells it's auto immune your white cells chew on your nerves making them less effective and at times making your feet and legs numb. On those type of days, I would never dream of touching my car. But most of the days I can drive and I'm thankful for the Lord giving me that gift that I can keep. Again, this is not about me. This is about Leif Johnson Ford and they're amazing Customer Service they've been through a lot and a lot of turnover but now they're definitely producing a great service to everyone so for all of you out there next time you need a service for your Ford and you bought it at any Ford dealership call and ask them about the service. You will not have to go there or leave your car. Have someone bring you home? Nothing like that they pick it up and drop it off and bring it home Home Again and that's it. God bless all of you at Leif Johnson Ford. I bet you're the ones that started it and the others followed. I had an amazing experience in 2016. When I bought my car and every time I've had to bring it the work was always quality. And now I don't have to bring it anymore. They come to me. So God bless all of you at all the Ford locations for giving such a gift to people with disabilities that hold them back. Go team Ford! Go with your bad ass selves!

Their prices are either in line or slightly less than dealership prices, and they do stand behind their work. This is their only location that can handle luxury cars like my Mercedes. It was time to do the schedule B service on my C300. It is the 60,000 mile or 10 year service and it runs about $1500 on average. And that's not including the transmission service. It's also a 3 to 4 hour job, which is why it's best to have someone pick you up. You can sit in their small basic waiting room where you can find complementary water and coffee. There are some places within a few blocks of walking such as Taco Cabana or Mandolas where you could spend some more quality time waiting. They have a very skilled service tech who also works on BMWs as well. They also work on EV's although that work is limited. They had my schedule B service done in 3 1/2 hours and were able to save me a couple hundred dollars making it just $1300. I was also not charged a credit card fee. Will be returning for future maintenance. Informative photos included.

The technicians did thorough diagnostic work and the repairs, while expensive, were legitimate and necessary. I want to specifically thank Ike and Martin for how they treated me as a customer. Ike was friendly and went out of his way to help by giving me a ride home and later making sure I was able to get the loaner car when it had been made unavailable. Martin was also professional and supportive throughout the process. My main issue was with the service management, specifically Deon. The loaner car option was not brought up when it should have been, and after a frustrating phone call about the situation, Deon immediately called me back to ask if I wanted the loaner. From a customer service perspective, that follow-up was poorly timed and escalated the situation instead of de-escalating it. When a customer is already upset about communication and options not being presented earlier, calling back right away without acknowledging that tension makes things worse, not better. The shop clearly has capable technicians and helpful front-facing staff, but the way the situation was handled at the service management level added unnecessary stress to an already difficult and expensive repair.     My fuel line broke while I was visiting Austin from California, and I chose this Goodyear location…read morebecause it was open on a Sunday and a national chain. They diagnosed the issue and repaired it two days later since the dealer part wasn't available on Monday (a holiday, Labor Day). When I picked up the car, I noticed a strong gas smell inside. The staff told me it was just residual fuel that needed to burn off and even offered to clean the air ducts, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, about 100 miles outside of Santa Fe, the car broke down and required a tow. A friend's trusted mechanic there discovered that while Goodyear had fixed the flexible part of the fuel line, they bent a solid metal section, causing a new fuel leak. So, their initial repair ended up creating another problem that cost me more time, stress, and money to fix. Disappointing experience overall.

I was replacing my air filter when I noticed sand in my air filter box. I wonder how many people have been affected by going to this place, where instead of fixing vehicles they ruin them. I know for a fact she knows what her technicians do when they sabotage people's vehicles. All of the stuff she knows her technicians been doing will soon catch up to her and her "mechanics". This all stems from me telling her 3 thousand dollars is too much to replace the front sway bar links, you can tell they're missing bushings. That complimentary coolant flush, that they knew not to charge me for caused this vehicle to run the worst it's ever did. Mind you this is the only location that's ever done service to this truck.
