Our waiters were kind and patient and provided us with good service. We got mocktails to drink. The blackberry bramble and watermelon mint refresher were delicious (I highly recommend them). We also got a charcuterie board and I wasn't familiar with most of the cheese options. I've had better charcuterie boards but isn't want bad. The honey that came with it was so good as well (I know that is such a random thought). My friend got a Caesar salad and she said it might have been one of the best Caesar's she's had. I didn't try it and I'm not a Caesar salad fan, so I cannot vouch for it but I trust her taste. I got the grilled cheese. I know it may seem odd I ordered grilled cheese at a restaurant but I just wanted something light but not a sandwich. I wish the bread was crispier and butter up. The cheese were okay. Overall, I was kind of disappointed with the grilled cheese because they're super easy to make. In general, I wasn't wowed by the food but it's a cute place for lunch or brunch.

Their dishes…read moreare often vegetarian friendly, but don't let the idea of a veggie meal fool you - every dish is packed with flavor! For those who have never been (and, perhaps those that have), their hours are for breakfast and lunch only. I mention this, because the last time We ate there we arrived about 30mins before closing. After they closed, people kept trying to come in, despite being told they were closed. Normally, this wouldn't be cause for concern, but I get the feeling they have to deal with a lot of entitled customers as each time they were told the place was closed, the hopeful diners would scoff and try to negotiate the ability to come in and dine. I guess that speaks to the greatness of the food and drink, but it also made me pretty sad to think about how often this kind of behavior might happen there. So if you happen to go to Terrain, and the service isn't as fantastic as I've spoken about here, it might be because they've had to deal with some not so great customers.

The other day I saw paper that evaporates in water so you can make wishes. I have about 30 houseplants and have bought a handful from Terrain. Overall, inspect the plant before you purchase not just from here but any store. Prices may be slightly higher for common plants than a big box store but their variety is amazing and changes I think daily. Some of the staff are nicer than others regarding planty chatting so if you are expecting an employee to spend significant individual attention to answer all your plant care needs try to go during the day or low traffic times. It can get pretty busy. Since I live close by I stop in often to see which plants have been marked down. There's also an amazing variety of pots to put the plants in. This is a subsection of Anthropologie so the pots are in line with that vibe. Overall this is a special beautiful little place to browse and enjoy.
