I had my roof replaced several years ago by GJ Goss. They did an excellent job regarding installation and clean up. I had 3 quotes. Goss was the most reasonable. Very prompt...one day tear off and install. Recently they were working at a neighbor's home. I needed a downspout extended about 10 feet. Phil Goss had the crew replace an elbow and extended the downspout at no charge as I was a past customer. Great customer service! read more

I had roofing leak. The contractor from this company camein, made an assessment, and repaired my roof. There was no pressure to buy a new roof, in fact, the contractor told me that I had another 2 years before the roof needed replacement. We decided to have our siding & gutters replaced. The job included a couple of other construction projects such as repair to a door frame. Overall we were pleased with the entire process. Scott came out a couple of times to walk us through the quote and then the actual process. We had also looked at a couple of other firms. We were pleased with Scott's no nonsense approach. He was sincere and handled all of our questions professionally. The work was completed timely. We were satisfied with the results. As with any construction projects there was follow-up on issues. These were handled timely and completed. We definitely recommend Goss Contracting and while we hope we do not need to for several years, plan on using Goss for our roof in the future. read more

Towards the end of Sept. I had a tree hit part of my roof/ front porch. The tree damaged the gutter, a section of the roof, and a section of the siding. Since I had my roof replaced by JGGoss, I called them to repair the damages. Though they came the day after the incident to assess the damages, I have waited more than TWO MONTHS to get things repaired despite the more than a dozen phone calls to the company. Today JGGoss was supposed to send someone to complete the job (put the new gutter in and replace broken pieces for tge porch). HOWEVER, they only sent a person to replace the pieces for the porch. When I talked to the company, it was indicated that the foreman had informed them that the gutter was replaced when, indeed, this job had NOT been done! I am extremely disappointed with the follow through of this company and the lack of communication with me. As far as I am concerned, their customer satisfaction is poor. read more

Mr Goss gave me a false estimate for work which did not need to be done. He never completed the work. I have evidence on video. The roof began leaking again. When I wrote a negative review on Google, Mr Goss called me, threatened me and verbally abused me. Do not under any circumstances use this company. They will defraud you and threaten you. read more

I was initially satisfied with the replacement of a skylite and asphalt shingle replacement on rear porch roof and had them continue with siding and window trim and flashing repairs. Afterward, they were slow or unresponsive to resolve left over issues with work on siding on front of house. One window in back will not close properly after window frame area below window was improperly done. I requested them to come out and assess work at least four times over several weeks to resolve issues but nothing happened until I mentioned I was so frustrated with them that I was going to share my experience on Yelp, then I got a call and email but it was to late. I sought other options after they ignored my requests to many times. read more

We had our roof replaced by this company several years ago and they did a great job. Similar to another reviewer, we contacted them for a repair job on a new home recently. They came out once without a big enough ladder to look at the roof (though since this, other companies have been able to give me estimates without going on the roof) and told me they would be back. After 3 times of having an appointment, including one where the owner apologized for them missing one and said he would be out the next day, and them not showing up at all, I gave up on this company. Don't even consider using this company!! We had them replace our aging roof and the first winter after installation we had water leaking in our house, the new roof was bubbled up, and the brand new Goss installed plywood was buckling under the shingles. Goss refuses to stand by his warranty so we eventually had to file an insurance claim. Even with a professional engineers report showing that the installation did not meet code, he still refuses to remedy the issue. To make matters worse, Greg Goss personally has lost his temper, screamed and cursed to us and made personal insults. Completely unprofessional! Do not use them! read more

This company put a new roof on our house a few years ago and they were wonderful. We recently had a large limb go through our shed roof. I spoke to a woman who told me someone would come to look at it for an estimate. After two weeks of waiting we had to call another company. I would not recommend this company. read more

Job took 5 months. They said it was a 2 day job. They came out second day and said they would be back "tomorrow". Literally came back 5 months later. I let them know I was unhappy and never received a call or anything. Sold me on customer service it was horrible. Originally I asked about additional work I needed. When they came back 5 months later they asked what else I needed! Totally clueless and terrible. I had an open gable vent for 5 months. read more
