Thankfully did not use this company. Started out by getting a call that say "This message might be recorded" should have known at that moment. Guy comes out has a trainee with him (hopefully the trainee get a better job). Sits at my table and asks "so why are here?" Huh? Does a phony needs assessment...Goes up looks at the bathroom then the game starts. This after he asks me like 5 times if I think Kris Konstruction is a good company. My wife and I are basically laughing at him....thought we were getting "punked" or something.... Ran the 3 price gig - crazy high price first. Then the advertised "special price" which is on the website. So he clearly is not offering the best price. Then he ran some skit with the owner (Kris) via text speaker phone about a discount if I put a sign in my yard. Wanted to kick the guy out of my house...he even offered a vacation voucher. Believe me this is not how a reputable company operates. I feel bad for some people that fall for this trash. The way they left my bottom trim is so embarrassing...I could literally have pulled just about anyone i off the street and had to done better, waiting now for a handyman to redo it all. SO SEVERLEY DISAPPOINTED BY THIS COMPANY!! It's a numbers and money game. I was told my kitchen would be done before Christmas, but I am still waiting to hear back about when my floors will be finished properly. Not to mention, I had to hire a separate contractor to fix and finish my stove. Poor communication, poor quality, poor attention to detail...I could keep going on. Needless to say, they got my money but not my recommendation or business moving forward. The last contact I had from them, they were telling me the project was done and to make my final payment. The salesman I was speaking too would get back to me about my floors and he would take care of me in one way or another since I was not satisfied with the project/company. I am not please with this company in multiple ways. But I will only address the management. Had my light switch replaced to newer white switches during kitchen remodel. Light were replaced, but the first day the switch was wired incorrectly. Mr Raul was very professional and replaced them and showed my son they worked but the same box was connected to my Reese light which were never turned on. So when I got home I turned on the Reese lighting and we heard a big boom. Of course I thought maybe the breaker went out and went to reset but the lights still didn't come on. So I sent a text to the team to inform them on the situation and asked Raul if he could send over a Master Electrician. The next Morning I received a call from Management they wouldn't be able to send someone out and it was technically my problem. I explained we just purchased the home and it went through a full inspection including error they found and fixed before we purchased the home. Also we had the VA do another inspection. So I had to hired my own Master Electrician and pay 700. To find Per the Master Electrician when whoever replaced the switch created a dead short by connecting the 3 way to the same power instead of separating it as a 3 way separation connection causing the breaker short and no longer worked The master electrician is replacing the part. Yes they reembursed me but only after I showed them the receipt. But why weren't they professional about sending a master electrician just to verify instead of assuming they did it correctly. Don't waste your time. We had so many issues. It took over 3 1/2 weeks to do or kitchen. We were told it would be less than 10 10 days. We were promised things by the owner and Vice President. They still haven't made good on their promise. The laborers that they hired quit 3 days into our project. They installed the wrong cabinets the first time around. I was offered a free roof inspection by salesman Michael Poorbaugh. Michael found wind damage with loose and some missing shingles. He was able to work with my insurance company and my insurance covered the replacement of the entire roof. Shingles were missing on my barn and they covered that too. I ordered the color shingles I wanted and within several weeks, the crew came out to do the job. I can not say enough good things about the roofers who did our job. They were punctual and professional. They did an amazing job on the installation, and the barn roof had some serious angles. They even upgraded my shingles to the architectural shingles for free. It looks great and they did it all in one day! Equally impressive was how clean they were. The crew cleaned up as they went along all day and did not leave ONE SINGLE piece of trash in my yard, even though they finished after dark and could not see if anything was left. What a great job!! This was a totally effortless process. Kris Konstruction has this down to a science and I am very impressed. I would highly recommend this company. The employees have all been very responsive, very professional and most importantly to me....honest and trustworthy. We just used Kris Konstruction for complete roof replacement and were 100% satisfied with the entire process. Mike Dunn met with us after he surveyed the roof and determined there was sufficient damage to warrant replacement through insurance. One of his team members met with our State Farm insurance adjuster, and there was a check from SF in our hands that day. Mike was very patient and answered all of our questions, and presented the process to us thoroughly so there were no surprises. He checked in with the team throughout the day of the installation and made sure everything was covered and completed as prescribed. Kris Konstruction did an absolutely terrible job on my brand new composite deck. They did not pre drill the holes and they used the wrong type of screws, which caused the holes to mushroom out..they replaced the deck, however it is still not right..deck is wavy and sagging in spots..This place is a joke..Would not recommend this place to anyone.. They sub-contracted a bunch of idiotic young kids who didn't know what they were doing.. A friend of my wife's also had a major problem with this company..An attorney was contacted and a lawsuit is pending..Stay away from this place..Plenty of reputable construction companies out there..Im not worried..My lawyer will take care of it... read more

We just had our fourth job done by Kris Konstruction. The first, a residing job after a damaging hail storm, was done some 20-25 years ago when they were just in getting into the business, doing mostly insurance work. The siding is still in place and in good condition with no problems. Several years ago, we had a bathroom redone and they did a wonderful job. We discovered a leak from inadequate plumbing in the bathroom two years ago, and Kris made good on it, making all necessary repairs (and then some) and reimbursing us for all repairs due to the leak. We have also had a kitchen remodel and, most recently, added on a sun room. These latter two jobs were expertly done and the people working on them were a joy to work with as was Chris Roe with whom we designed these rooms. I cannot recommend them highly enough read more

Their employees protected our landscaping, stripped and replaced the shingles all in one day and left our property clean, as if they were never here. Hail damaged my roof. Kris Konstruction put a new one on. It hasn't caused any problems so that's a plus. However, the old roof was torn off, and they put tar paper/underlayment on and scheduled an inspection. It took a couple of days for that to happen, and it rained bad. The interior of the home got damaged from water. Kris Kronstruction blamed it on the long time it takes for inspections and the cities requirement to leave the roof exposed. The insurance did side with them, and they paid. However, I think that a professional roofing company would not have allowed the water damage to occur. They should have come up with ways by now to prevent that. Blaming it on the inspection process is unacceptable. This is not the mark of a professional roofing company. That's a negative. The repair to the interior was not satisfactory upon my inspection. They had to come back and fix it. That's a negative. They were also going to do the roof without HOA approval. They reasoned that it was the same as before, so they didn't need it. That's a negative. The representative who worked with me sent unprofessional text messages. That's a negative. read more

Checked the installation and found the fan was never connected to a power source. I paid for work that was never performed and have not had the benefit of an attic fan for 2 years. read more

Bought one of their specials off of Angie's List for a roof replacement and scheduled for one of the Sales people to come out to take a look at the roof. A week later Brandon came out and took a look at the roof and gave me a cost for the skylight and replacing a couple of boards of plywood, which I already knew need replacing. Prior to me signing the intent, I informed Brandon that I needed the work done by 14 March 16, as I was closing on my refi then. He indicated that it would be 3-4 weeks before they could get anyone out, more like 3 weeks. He also stated that a project manager would be assigned and that person would reach out to me to let me know what was going on with my project. 4 weeks went by without anyone from Kris Konstruction calling me. I called them mid way into the 5th week (March 7th) to find out what the status was. I spoke with Joann who told me that it would be another 2-3 weeks before someone could get out to replace the roof. She was told the entire story about the conversation had with Brandon and my closing date and asked me if she could call me back later and she would try to see if she could move me up. That afternoon I never received a call back from anyone at Kris Konstruction. I then left an email on the website. On the evening of March 8th, I received a call from "Tony" at Kris Konstruction stating that my roof replacement was scheduled for 17 March and they would be out to drop off the supplies on 16 March. I, once again, informed him of my situation, to which he said, "that is the earliest he could get me in." I informed him that none of this was my fault and he needed to have the owner, Kris, contact me. On March 9th, Joann called me back and, once again, informed me that the earliest that they could get out to replace my roof was the 17th because the deliveries had already been placed. She was informed that this was not acceptable and she needed to have Kris, the owner, call me. She stated that she was sorry and she was responsible because it had been put into the system February 19th and she didn't see it. However, a few minutes later Kris, the owner, called me and was most accommodating. He apologized and stated that he wanted to make sure that his customers were happy and he would do his best to try to get it done on Saturday, 12 March. He called me back and informed me that he had gotten the date pushed up to Saturday and the supplies would be delivered on Friday. He also gave me Tony's, the project manager, telephone number in case I had questions prior to him contacting me. Tony never called. On March 11, I called Tony to make sure that we were still on for having the roof replaced on Saturday, which he confirmed. During this conversation, I asked him if I needed to be at the residence for the crew to get started and perform their work. He replied that I did not need to be there and that they would get started early on Saturday morning. On the morning of March 12, I received a call from Tony stating that his foreman had informed him that 12 sheets of plywood needed to be replaced and that they were $50 per sheet. I told him that I was aware of the cost and if they needed to be replaced then for them to do it. I then proceeded to head to my residence to take a look. Once I arrived, the foreman met me and spoke with me about the water damage to the existing plywood and repeated that 12 sheets had to be replaced. I concurred and left. About 1 hour later, I arrived back at my residence to notice that a young, Hispanic man was exiting the front door of my house. This was a surprise to me because I had not unlocked my house, nor had I given the crew authorization to enter my house. When the young man saw my vehicle, he proceeded to rush back into the residence; however, when I headed up my driveway, another Hispanic man approached me stating that they need to get into the house to see if the skylight was straight. When I asked for the foreman, he stated that he was on the roof and could not come down. I insisted; however, the Hispanic man acted as if he could not understand me. The rest of the crew, mostly Hispanic, also acted as if they could not understand English. When I entered the residence, I noticed that the young, Hispanic man had entered my residence through the skylight opening. I called Tony and told him of the incident and his response was that they should not have done that and he was sorry. I told him that if anything was missing from my residence then Kris Konstruction was fully responsible, to which he agreed. Luckily, I noticed nothing missing; however, once the crew was finished, they left without informing me that they were leaving or that they were done. They left 2 bundles of shingles in the driveway. After they had left, I noticed that they hadn't covered my air conditioning unit and nails had fallen inside on the blades. Don't leave your house unattended if they are working. In the last two years we have had two bathrooms gutted and replaced, a new kitchen floor put in, insulation blown into the attic and several other small projects. This is a top-notch company that will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. They will work with you every step of the way from scheduling, reviewing/designing to performing the work. Our contractor Clayton is very much a perfectionist and will not stop until he is happy with the finished project (which will be way after you were satisfied, lol). We would never let anyone else work on our house and are thrilled that our search for quality work has ended. Kris Konstruction completed our bathroom remodel today. It was estimated to be two to three weeks long and turned out to be a four and a half week process. The communication from this company is lacking to say the least. The contractor working our job often disagreed with what we were asking for and we felt that it wasted a lot of time. Upon our final walk through, I was just told I was being "a little ridiculous" when I pointed out that the bathroom sink is not level. Very rude people in my opinion, I would never do business with them again and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Hired Kris Konstruction in Baldwin, MD to remodel our two bathrooms at one time. We purchased all the items for the job, vanities, granite counters, soaker tub, frame-less glass shower doors, tile, grout, ceiling fan-heat-light combination, faucets, lights, toilets, mirrors, medicine cabinets, and accessories, keeping quality in mind. The job started quickly and took about 5 weeks to complete. They did get the job finished but they needed to come out to make a repair on some grout that was cracking after a few weeks in the one shower. I am still waiting for them to come back out, now a 3 week wait, to repair/replace a cracked tile where the tub spout was put on too tight and cracked the tile. I think they lacked attention to detail and made too many mistakes along the way. Left a cracked tile under the toilet until I pointed it out. The corner shower was not caulked properly at first and had much water coming out on the floor. Had to reorder shower sealing strips that were trimmed too short and torn. Had a hard time telling them that I wanted and paid for the old floor to be removed and replaced with cement board. They never did install the floor using cement board, I was just given more excuses why they did not need to use it although I wanted it and paid for it. So I have plywood under my new tiled floor. They forgot to install a second electrical outlet over the one vanity, so instead of feeding the wire through the wall they cut the drywall along the floor behind the new vanity and pushed the wiring into the cutout and then placed the vanity covering it up. Is that even up to code? I guess I need to check into that. I have pictures of all the good and bad along the way. Where the old ceiling vent was taken out the patch work is horrible. Everyone sees it when they go in there. There was water leaking out of a cross threaded drain into the new wooden vanity. I asked them to please go back up into the attic to try to lay the insulation down better to where it was before they installed the ceiling vents. The excuse was," I was not the guy who was up there", and also" The vent is pushing it up". I fully understand a 5 inch vent tube pushing up on it some but the way it looks has nothing to do with the vent tube. The paint work is only so so. You can actually see white through some missed spots in the middle of the walls. One coat doesn't always do it. They could not seem to get the towel bars and other accessories hung without messing up the walls or hanging them at the wrong spots, so I did that after they left. I paid them for that but they did not credit me for doing that work, which was a few hours of my time. I really wanted to like this hometown area business. Maybe the other aspects of their business are better, but I was not too impressed with the quality done by their bathroom crews. They were friendly and kind to my dog while they were here and we were at work. I even gave the first two workers $50.00 gift cards to a local steak house. After that they left and had two other guys do the rest of the work. If you are looking for a bathroom construction company that does quality and detail oriented work, you may want to keep looking.
