    Custom Lego People
    Ter L.

5 stars specifically for OSCAR!! The initial guy ringing us up and explaining the Lego making process was far from "friendly". Thank goodness it was Oscar assisting for the rest of the visit. My toddler has always been into stacking and building so whenever we pass by a Lego store, it's an automatic MUST that we stop by and let her do her thang. The past few times we visited Downtown Disney's Lego shop, the MINIFIGURE FACTORY was always swarmed with customers. Since there was no wait during our visit, I took it upon myself to go ahead and build 2 miniature people as souvenirs. As noted above, the initial guy who was assisting in the process was not warm in any kind of way. Maybe is was an off day for him and I get that customer service is rough but I was ecstatic to see him move away from the customizable area. In comes Oscar!! The process itself is very straightforward. The choosing of the outfits and adding specific details is what takes all the time in the world. There are pre set outfits, stickers, and accessories that are readily available for use but do keep in mind that they are lowkey limited to actual designs that I wanted. Luckily, you can draw/paint/write, creating your own personal design as you see fit. Once done, you let the staff know that you are finished with the design aspect and will move on to selecting the right face/expression, hair, and accessory for your mini Lego person. My complaint is not having enough hair style options to accurately replicate the person you are trying to create. The display models had brunette options and ponytails but none were actually found in the bins. I ended up with a blonde and will eventually take a Sharpie marker to it- LOL. Kudos and 5/5 stars for Oscar. Thank you for being friendly, patient, and willing to answer questions. You made this experience so memorable and I can happily report that the recipients of the mini Lego people where so very pleased!

Japan set...to remind me that is a vacation spot!

I forgot how fun it is to pop into the Downtown Disney LEGO shop! The place is busy and customers are packed in a relative large space -- the products packed (stuffed up on shelves topped to the rim) with an awesome mix of sets, from cool action figures to random stuff like bamboo kits (who knew that was a thing?). Or more like do I need this rather than the real lucky bamboo. Hmmmmm During the weekend the Lego shop is very busy, full of excited kids and just as many adults trying to justify their "artistic" purchases. I swore I'd stay strong and just came in to look... I always enjoy eye-candying my dark knight- Dark Vadar! But yeah, they got me in the end with a LEGO pen. Totally worth it. TIP: Squeeze in every minute of the 2 -hour free validation (with purchase) in the parking lot.

Brb, living my best brick life! Building happiness one brick at a time at the Lego store at Downtown Disney! I knew I was in a whole new world when I spotted a giant Genie with Aladdin and Princess Jasmine made out of legos hanging above. This was just the start of many cool sights at this Lego store. There has to be a Lego for every fan! From flowers to lucky cats, they've got every thing! I was even amazed that they had a large Super Mario (where's my fave Princess Peach though?!). This spot is built for fun (literally)!

This is a very popular spot in Downtown Disney. There's usually a line to get into the store. The staff is super helpful and friendly. We came in here just to look around. We saw the desk where you can make your own Lego figure. Well, we had to do THAT! We were able to make an appointment for later in the evening, so we returned for that. The process is pretty streamlined and straightforward. Timothy helped us along the way. It was fun to design, then what then print our pieces, and then we got to accessorize them. The whole process was $12/person and I honestly felt like it was worth that. It was a fun experience and I'm glad we did it!

I've spent lots of money at Lego over the years, we are on a first name basis with our bricks and Minifigs franchise owner and we've been to both Legolands multiple times. We've also gone to the Disney Springs Lego store many many times and built many many mini figs. We came today to check out the store and I figured we could have my husband build a mini fig since he hasn't done that yet. We're expecting just a standard experience, but what we got was so much more. This is the third time we've built a mini fig, but it was almost like a whole new experience. It helped that we were the first people in the store and we didn't have high expectations at all. Although I've had special reservations all the time I've gone to the Orlando store today we didn't have them and figured if we couldn't get in first thing we would just come back by a later time today. Roy was able to help us immediately. Roy went above and beyond helping my son. The store is a lot larger and more chill than the Orlando store I found. Roy went above and beyond talking to my son about what Legos he likes and helping them build the best mini fig he's ever built before. He talked patiently with my husband and my son. Roy came up with good ideas that would help in his epic mini fig that he built. I immediately gave him a perfect Lego score on the survey. I wanted to make sure he got a lot of kudos via yelp as well. I am absolutely floored at his customer service.

A little small and it was so crowded but like other lego store, this was a great place to be. Plenty of options to build and purchase for kids and they will be occupied for good amount of time here. Staff was nice as well and multiple staff offered help during our visit.

Let's build. People are so excited about Lego and you can tell by the crowds. This place is always packed and the best thing is they don't overprice their already overpriced items. The prices are the same online or at any other Lego store. The only thing unique here is they have the self portrait machine. That is cool. They're up to date on their stock and there's plenty of helpers to answer your questions. Overall five stars. The place is clean, well maintained, and they have some awesome art builds. M

The place is busy!! But staff were nive and efficient. They have a decent selection of lego. Just wish they were able to make custom lego keychains. Prices are a bit up there.

My family loves Legos! We went to Legoland often when the kids were little and stayed at the Legoland hotel when it first opened. Our kids, now adults still love and buy them. This store is one of the best we've seen (outside of Legoland). My husband spent most of his time looking at the cars and Star Wars displays, while I admired all the Disney structures. The prices have soared through the years. We gave the original large version of the Star Wars Millennium Falcon to our son for Christmas (long, long ago) which we bought for $100. My husband couldn't believe the price of this model at $850! Considering how much traffic goes through this location, it's kept clean and organized. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I'm surprised to see that they are falling short on cleaning off the spiderwebs on their display in front of the store

Wow! I guess I'm getting old. It's been a while since I bought anything LEGO. I suppose just like anything else, prices wet up. Nice staff inside of a well lit store and generally clean store. Lots of selection for a small store. One tip though. If I were the manager I'd have someone get a ladder and clean off the spider webs off the LEGO display out front. Just saying.

After Disneyland, we decided to stop by the Lego store. They closed at midnight (we visited Friday 2/9/24). We were surprised that they closed late. It was a decent size Lego store, lots of Lego products to look at. My daughter made her own mini Lego characters. I bought myself the Orchid botanical garden. It was pretty pricey but I will have it for years, Lol. Lego flowers lasts a very long time. The staff was helpful, there were lots of people shopping at that time too. The check out line was fast.

Had such a fun experience here last weekend! I love Legos and recently discovered you can create your own little Lego person. We made the reservation online. One reservation is good for 2 people and I accidently made two reservations not knowing this, but they were able to give my extra slot to a lucky walk up person :) It's about $13 a person and they walk you through the whole process. Roy was really helpful and so was Ben. After you're dong, they print the body of your Lego and you choose a head, legs, hair and accessory. We had so much fun doing this. People were crowding around watching and I wish they had more signage about this because the first time we tried we didn't know how it works and that you need an appointment. Happy we were able to snag one and get creative. Definitely fun for the whole family and a cool souvenir in my opinion. The store itself is always busy and surrounded by fun Lego designs. It just gets a bit overwhelming with how busy it gets inside. PS you can use your Magic key discount here too!

The staff here has always been exemplary. They're friendly and knowledgeable. They also take the time to help us figure out how to stack purchases with annual pass discounts to make sure we hit the mark to get those limited edition bonuses we love. This time I want to especially give props to Hunter who really made the visit special. He was greeting people at the door with a big bright smile and his custom LEGO churro and mustache. The enthusiasm was beyond measure!

Yes, they do if you make a purchase.

Do I need a ticket to Disneyland to go to the Lego store?

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to learn tufting for the first time!! For those new to tufting,…read moretufting is essentially a texture manufacturing process where you insert yarn into a base fabric to create rugs. The lesson first starts off with choosing a simple base design. Our instructor specifically recommended a design with simple lines and colors to make it easier for our first ever rug, which was around $70. Using a projector, you will trace your image onto the fabric as a template for the rest for your work. Before starting with tufting, we then moved onto a mini tutorial on the ins and outs of using a tufting gun, from yarn insertion to how to create straight versus curved lines. Keep in mind you have to put a lot of pressure on the canvas to ensure that your yarn is being threaded correctly. Going through several practice sessions definitely made the transition to the entire tufting process easier. Starting our rug, we soon recognized how difficult and time consuming the rug tufting process was. Even simple design like ours (a cartoon dog) was a long lengthy process than anticipated and we ended up spending 3-4 hours for completion for one of the smaller size rugs. We were recommended to start from the inside out and using one color at a time, inserting lines of yearn about a fingers width to ensure completion of our rug. Though we initially struggled with creating finer lines, we eventually got the hang of it and were able to successfully complete our rug. Our instructor transitioned us into the final process, teaching us how to trim our rug and prepare it to take home. Personally based on the instructor teaching and supplies available, this class was well worth its price point. Overall, I would say tufting is an impressive skill that I learned for the first time and hope to come again to create more designs!

I've been going to Wondercon for years, taking a few hiatus years off due to child rearing…read morelogistics. Now, my son's been to LA Comic Con, San Diego Comic Con and Anaheim Wonder Con.... This is his favorite convention between the 3. He's not into comic books per se, he's not into TCG's Trading Card Games and "Gaming", he's not into Cosplay ('tho doesn't mind dressing up or people watching), he's not into Artist's Alley nor Celebrities, and generally likes Lego, some video games and Star Wars. So for children 7-14, this is a good convention for many interests. The Lego they have here is primarily 2 main vendors and a few smaller ones who sell unlicensed brick (Lego styled designer imposter) "Mini-Figures" that has many characters that Lego never built, so are "custom" probably mass produced in China, accessible probably at Alibaba or Temu for cheap in bulk. They're usually $5 each or 5 for $20 at Wondercon. The Star Wars stuff is sparce, and they used to have a vendor who sold high end inspired (not licensed) Light Sabers. This convention has a really good representation of vintage to modern comic book back-issues in a focused area of the convention hall. If you collect comics this is equal in many ways to SDCC. The "Artists Alley" pales in comparison to what their creator area used to be with top names of writers, penciling artists and inker artists who appeared representing Marvel, DC and Indie (Dark Horse, Image, etc.) comic publishers who were top named talent. These days they have maybe a half dozen to dozen at best recognizable (mainly local talent) major names. This year (2026) there was Ron Lim, Don Ho, Jimmy Cheung, Norm Rapmund, Joel Gomez, David Mack and a few others. So, the comic book creator guest list continues to shrink (although this year Wondercon competed the same weekend as the C2E2 show, Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo. Parking was $25 on-site, but there's FREE parking about 0.5 to a 1.5 miles away walking distance in residential areas. Overall the show has become more of a "Pop Culture Expo" than a comic book convention, lacking presence by any of the big publishers with corporate booths (again, maybe C2E2 is a bigger show than Wondercon and that's where everyone went in '26). I see rooms of improvement revolving around revisiting the glory days of yore, and looking back at what once made Wondercon the 2nd biggest show on the West Coast behind San Diego Comic Con (and this is a SDCC sister show too, by the same organizers). As many have noted in the past decade, Wondercon was a better show when it was held in San Francisco. It's still a good show worth attending no matter what.
