Highly recommend Karen! I was looking for someone who could give me a color and cut I love, as well as looking to try out a Keratin straightening treatment that could tame my frizzy hair and withstand this Texas humidity. I did my research and decided to give Karen a try based on the excellent reviews I had read. Well, Karen did not disappoint! She reassured me that her Keratin treatment is safe, and she took time to ensure that we were both happy with the outcome. She's a lot of fun to chat with, too, which is a bonus! I've always been nervous about getting my hair cut. I used to go to a salon in Georgetown where I trusted my stylist with my hair. After her, I was never able to find anyone else who I was completely satisfied with...until today. I got my hair cut by Harmony, and I don't think there are enough words to say how awesome she is. She makes hair cutting an art. She is extremely patient...And super nice. Not only did she cut my hair like I wanted it, she let me know which if the two hair styles I chose would work better for me based off my face shape. I have never had a stylist give me their honest opinion about a hair cut I've wanted. Another thing, I sent an email after business hours, to request an appointment for the following day, if possible. I left my cell number so that I could receive a call. I didn't expect a call the same evening, however, the owner called me within a couple of minutes to let me know that Harmony has a cancellation for the following day. That was extremely helpful since today would have been the only time I would be able to go. The salon is modern, beautiful, and clean. I don't remember the fee's for the other times but this very last appointment I got an all over color, halo highlights and a trim and the total before tip was $125. Lauren is an awesome hair stylist! She books out 6-8 weeks in advance, so book early! I go in every 6 weeks for a full highlight and sometimes lowlights too. She always nails the colors and I have switched it up a few times. I show her pictures and get her take. Then she works her magic. It doesn't hurt that she is a lot of fun to talk to as well and she gets you in and out fairly quickly (about 2 hours for me). I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes past my appointment time and she has never juggled me with another client (that can lead to a much longer appointment at other salons). The salon is beautifully decorated and well laid out. Each stylist has their own little room. They offer delicious coffee and bottled waters to their clients. They have a large selection of products available for purchase, but they don't pressure you to buy any of them. A part of me selfishly doesn't want to post this, as the more clients that she has, the less availability that she will have for me (!). That said, she already has a.large following. I personally book out my next 2 appointments, so I should be good. Hey, it's no secret. I found her VIA her awesome yelp reviews. So here is my vote for Lauren. I normally fly home to NJ for my best friend to do my hair because every time i went somewhere else they have totally messed up my hair! Lauren did my hair color and cut today. I haven't done color in years mainly because I haven't trust anybody to so a good job. I've been wanting to try the ombré style for months. Lauren NAILED the color (I am a brunette and did not want to tacky blonde tips) and style I was trying to achieve (caramel ombré). I have been searching for a GREAT hairdresser for years and have gone through many butcher sessions but Linnea is FANTASTIC!!! She did the most awesome coloring (to hide gray) that I have ever had!!! I booked an appointment with Karen to get my hair cut and colored after letting it grow for more than a year so I could donate it. My original salon had closed and I chose to make an appointment with Karen after reading a little about her on the salon's website and saw some pictures of her work on her Facebook page. We cut 11 inches off and I asked Karen to surprise me with the color. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out, and I've received many compliments on my new look. I am fairly new to the Austin area and went to see Harmony to get my highlights, lowlights and a trim freshened up. She did an AMAZING JOB! I do not recommend this salon. My stylist, whose name I shall leave out, was clearly not happy as a hair stylist. I specifically asked for someone good for curly hair, and got her. She simply trimmed, and seemed to want to finish as soon as she could. I asked for a new style, and got a slightly shorter version of the same. My husband, friends, kids could not tell at all that I got my hair cut. I was disappointed most by the lack of interest... Interest in her job, my hair, life in general. Lauren is truly talented. One of the best hair dressers in Central Texas. She can do anything with hair and can reverse the damage if you have done something bad to your hair. I once dyed my hair almost neon orange by mistake and she turned it into one the most beautiful set of highlights and lowlights I've ever had. I don't recommend my technique, BUT i definitely recommend her. COMPLETELY. So you will have to plan your appointment 3 weeks in advance, BECAUSE she's that good. Or once you are in...do what I do and get on her schedule for every 6 weeks or so. I no longer bring an armload of pictures, I tell her what i'm thinking and she seems to read my mind. I am always MORE then happy with my haircut after she has done my hair. The whole salon seems to be filled with amazing talent, but I will continue to book my amazing friend, Ms. Lauren. I went to Karen for a huge hair fix. I had colored my hair red several times, the last time with a box color from the drug store. I liked the color, but I didn't love it, and knew that I was going to need professional help to change it. I am getting married in April, and what I really REALLY wanted was to be blonde again. I did a lot of research, and found Karen based on reviews on Yelp. She did not disappoint! My hair turned out to be even more difficult to deal with than I thought it would be, but Karen stayed late and took the time to really make sure that my we got my hair as light as we possible could in the first visit. As a bonus, she was super fun to talk to, and kept me entertained the whole time I was waiting for my hair to process and made sure that I was comfortable. My next appointment is on Friday and I am so excited because I know that Karen is going to do a wonderful job again. So i just recently moved to the Round Rock area and was looking for a new hairstylist. Lets just say that I am extremely picky with my hair and if I find one thing wrong I will stop going to someone and have had numerous times when someone has cut one side to short. I found an amazing one at Legends Salon. I went to Laura who has 14 yrs of experience. She did a wonderful job on my hair. I pointed out a hairstyle in a magazine that I had bought and thankfully for once my hair ended up looking exactly like the picture. I also told her that I was looking for a new look with my color because I'm one of those women that changes it every six months and she did an amazing job with hi and lowlights. I received compliments on my hair from co-workers and people on the street for weeks. I have suggested many people to her and will continue to suggest people to her. She is amazing! I have been here twice so far, and at both visits, I was blown away. Everybody is so friendly and talented, not to mention how cute the actual salon is. It also doesn't hurt that they offer clients refreshments, including beer and wine! :) I saw LAUREN at both of my visits, and she is AMAZING! I had a haircut at the last visit, and a balayage highlight with a cut at today's appointment. LAUREN took her time and really made sure I was happy with my color and cut, even though she was running behind in her schedule, and had other clients to take care of! I have brown hair, and we were going for a cool toned highlight, however, with the warmth undertone to my hair, the blonde turned kinda brassy (Not LAUREN'S fault at all) It was just to be expected with the darkness of my hair, and I already knew going into the appointment that it would be a process to get my hair to the color we wanted. LAUREN wasn't happy with the color, and toned it twice. I thought the color was beautiful after the second toning, but she thought it could be even better, and she booked another appointment for me for next week to add more color. Wow!! Also, AMY, the owner of the salon, was so helpful! She recommended a product specifically for my hair, and I'm so excited to use it. She also was very friendly! Everybody was so nice and welcoming! I needed to get a hair cut and was hoping to do so within a couple of days, but when I called, the appointments available didn't match up with my schedule. The receptionist asked what type of hair appointment I needed, which was just a cut and style, and she talked to Laura Davis (who I wanted to see, based on other reviews) and Laura moved her lunch break to fit me in. I walked in the next day and was offered something to drink and was taken to the back. The salon itself is nice, and the decor makes it seem inviting. They have large mirrors so you can see everything they are doing to your hair. I asked Laura to do a simple cut, to remove most of my layers and keep it long, and she did exactly that. She didn't try to push her own opinion or cut it however she wanted, she gave me what I wanted. I have a very simple long hair cut, but I love it because it is simple. We had good conversation about various things, and it was never awkward (I usually hate conversation with hair stylists because it's always awkward). She is very friendly and likable, and I will definitely be returning to this salon and specifically to Laura. You also get a discount on services if you're a first time customer. The typical haircut costs $40, but they don't charge extra for washing, drying and styling like some other places do. read more

I expected to bounce from stylist to stylist, searching for just the right one... Lucky for me, I found the great reviews for Legends Salon on Yelp, so that's where I started, and my search ended here! I've been going to Karen, and she is fantastic!! She does exactly what I ask, and makes recommendations to make the style even better. Everyone is super friendly - not like some of the other upscale salons that make you feel like a nobody. I love the fact that I can send an email for an appointment request and they get back to me the same day. Plus, I can usually get an appointment within a few days, which is great because I am one of those people that decides to get a haircut and wants it yesterday ;).
