I just went through something horrific. All night I was fine talking to my sis having a drink till a full table of 8 were making racist remarks about Mexicans towards me and my sister. Again They were staring at me as they were saying there racist remarks. I asked for management and they said " they are customers and can't manage what they say". Hello if they said gay comments they would be dismissed but the offense was dismissed. The racism in anthem Arizona is out of site . The racism here hurts man. The manager did nothing her name was Christine. They lacked the very emotion of love, kindness, and compassion for others . When we moved to Anthem 18 months ago, Legends was one of the first restaurants we tried. To be honest, we had decided then that we would not return. There was something just off with that visit. At the time, the food was just OK, it was loud and the waiter we had was not at all attentive. Fast forward about 8 months. We returned to Legends for "Wing Wednesday". It was like a totally different place. Obviously it wasn't, but maybe our blinders were off by then. The food was good. The waitress was excellent, and the beer was cold. Since that return, we visit Legends at least every other week, but mostly on a weekly basis. Taco night is just as good as wing night. Last night we went up to have sliders on special but we all ordered from the regular menu, and all of our dishes were great. Oh, and the beer was still cold! What could wrong with .50 buffalo wings? Well, the wings were just fine. The drinks were just fine and so was the pear walnut salad. But tables were a little too close for comfort. We popped in here for dinner and the place was packed. I mean packed. We got the last table and proceeded to order drinks and dinner within minutes of sitting down. We had been packing all day and we were hungry and needed cocktails. I know everyone has different comfort levels with covid and I consider myself pretty loose with the whole mask / social distancing thing...but I felt a little uneasy about how close our table and chairs were to the bar. There was no 6ft rule so people were constantly walking by and lingering at the bar so within a foot of our chairs. Every chair at the bar was taken too. I was visiting from California so I thought I would enjoy having a sit down dinner IN a restaurant since we've been shut down for far too long but most restaurants are still spacing the tables out so dining had not been a problem for me until I came here. The rules at Legends were just too loose for my comfort level which made dining here less enjoyable. I'm more than ready to get back to indoor dining to support local businesses but i'm not ready for jam packed restaurants. But that's just me. read more

Just had carryout. It was super yummy. Husband had the spaghetti with meat sauce and got extra sauce. I had mushroom ravioli. Was just a bit too salty but really good. And daughter had the pear salad which is scrumptious. Highly recommend this restaurant. read more

This place is only busy because it's the only place in Anthem to have a drink. The bartenders are too busy checking their reflections in the mirror and gossiping to actually pay attention to the customer. It took them more than 10 minute to acknowledge me at the bar, both times I visited. The crowd is rowdy with a bunch of locals who come in after 5 and get smashed drunk yelling at the gold game screen. It's uncomfortable, overpriced and not worth the visit. read more

Absolutely terrible, rude to their customers, and has awful management. Do NOT go to Legends Bar & Grill. They treat their customers like garbage. If I could leave 0 Stars, I would.. I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect than I have at Legends. I took my husband there for his birthday, and it ended with the manager Rick calling the cops for no reason, embarrassing us, and then telling us to never return.. all over him taking it personal and overreacting to us trying to inform him about our poor dining experience. It was completely unwarranted and disgusting behavior, and I would never recommend this place of business to anyone. I 100% urge people to go elsewhere and spend their hard-earned money at a place that treats their customers with respect. I have lived in Anthem for about 6 years and used to frequent Legends at least once a week because I live right around the corner. Never again. On 11/28/18, I took my husband to Legends for his birthday dinner. We ordered 8 Jack Daniels boneless wings, 4 Golden bone-in wings, Anthem Nachos, and a beer. The boneless wings and nachos came out, and the wings were great, but the cheese on top of the nachos was cold and hard, and they tasted a little stale. Nevertheless, we were hungry and still had some. About halfway through the meal, our Golden wings were still not out so I informed a server. The manager Rick brought them out shortly after, but weirdly threw the plate on the table and said something along the lines of, "Sorry, forgot about these" and then left. The wings were cold, hard, and inedible, but I was just going to chalk it up as a loss because they were not that much money. When our waitress came to check on us, my husband told her how sweet she was and what an excellent job she was doing but wanted to express his concern over the cold wings and mediocre nachos. He said he was disappointed because it was his birthday dinner, and the meal was for the most part, cold and not good. She apologized, and my husband said he would like to speak to a manager because we should not have to pay for those items but only the boneless wings and beer. When the manager came over (we learned his name was Rick), my husband tried to tell him how disappointed we were with the meal, but the first thing out of Rick's mouth was the abrasive and rude question, "Are you drunk?!" My husband said, "No, I have only had this beer" and pointed to the beer on the table. Rick said, "Well, how much did you drink before you got here?" My husband said it was not any of his business, and he just wanted to tell him about how disappointed we were with the food. Rick then insulted my husband again by saying he was slurring his words and could not put a sentence together. I was floored by his despicable behavior. He then said my husband was rude to the server, and he should leave. This was a strange statement because we were not rude to the waitress. She was super sweet, and we were very nice to her. I was so confused with what was transpiring because all we wanted to do was inform management about our poor food experience, but the manager came over with a negative attitude and started to insult us before we could even explain. My husband ended up leaving so I sat there waiting to get my credit card back. After about 10 minutes, Rick came over, slammed the check book on the table, and said, "By the way, the cops are chasing your husband around the corner right now." At this point, I started embarrassingly crying in the booth, paid the tab, and then left. When I started walking home, I saw multiple cop cars on Gavilan and my husband sitting on the curb talking to a police officer. He explained the exact situation of what just transpired to them, as did I, when I walked up to see what was happening. After wasting a good 10 minutes talking to the cops about our cold wings and essentially laughing with each other on why they were even talking to us at all, my husband and I went home to try to enjoy the last bit of his crappy birthday night. Unfortunately, he forgot his phone, so I walked back toward Legends to retrieve it but luckily ran into one of the officers on the way, who recognized me and said he had my husband's phone. Thank God! I absolutely dreaded going back into that awful place. The officer told me the manager said we were no longer welcome at Legends, as to which I said, "No problem! I do not wish to go there ever again." After a few days of evaluating the situation and how rudely we were treated, we decided to reach out to the owners. My husband spoke to one of the Booth brothers on the phone, explained everything, and left his cell number for Rick to call and apologize. Crickets... As two business professionals who work in the Retail industry at corporate offices in Phoenix, we were treated like pure garbage and did not deserve that. I cannot even make up a story as ludicrous as this real life experience. DO NOT GO TO LEGENDS. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

Worst service I've ever experienced. Used to be great but new servers have attitudes. I've been told many times for a year that there is a smoking side and nonsmoking side of the patio. I come every Sunday with a group of friends. Today I was harassed by the new staff I couldn't smoke there and actually got up and left to go to rosati's where they are friendly and want customers. We have all now agreed we will never be back and anyone I know that does go there I am telling never to go back. A couple years ago Legends was my local go to for American food and a drink. However things have changed dramatically. The Nextdoor app and word of mouth shows the decline in this place and I got to witness last night. As crazy as it sounds, I was told by the owner to leave because my order was wrong! The evening seemed different when we arrived. My wife used the bathroom and said it was so dirty she didn't even want to go. Also, there was no paper towels. I mentioned no paper towels in the restroom to my waiter when ordering and clearly seemed annoyed, stopped joking and smiling with us and walked away. When my mix drink came the sprite was flat but I didn't want to say anything. The food arrived and the wings weren't boneless as I requested. I thought no biggie, I'll ask if they could switch it out. Next, the owner approached us in an irritated manner. " Is this not what you ordered?" Again, I said no. Since he is the owner we also pointed out the sprite was flat. My wife tried summing up the complaints with stating "we've been coming here for almost 2 years and really enjoy it" but he didn't want to hear it. He wouldn't even look at her talking and kept saying, "You don't like the drink?" It's as if he wanted to argue about it. He was clearly aggravated and told us to just leave! Way too much as the greens were limp to begin with. We have given this establishment multiple chances. The only word I can use to describe my experience is disgusting. The burger was so rare i could hear it mooing. It is inexcusable to serve something this dangerous to a customer. I am just praying I don't get sick at this point. aside from the burger, the caprese was made to terrible standards. When ordering caprese usually from legends you can expect a full container of greens and cheese, not this time. There is one bite taken out of it, hard to believe that meal alone is $9.00. I understand that mistakes are made, but not like this. Legends blatantly served me a raw meat risking my health. Standard burgers are cooked to medium or medium well, and that is how they should be cooked unless asked otherwise. it should be a crime to put something like this on a customers plate. What a great find on a Wednesday afternoon. This place was packed! Everyone was extremely friendly, service with Shelley was excellent. It was lunchtime for us so I had the calamari and my husband had the southwest chicken soup. He can be hard to please but answered right away that it was excellent. He had the Gordo tacos and I had the pear salad. Both were excellent. We will be back here. For those that live in Peoria or Glendale this is a lot closer than Scottsdale. Not sure what has happened to this place. Last time I came here was at least 3 years ago. Wasn't impressed. But have been coming here on a regular basis - once or twice a week for the last month. Service is great, food is good (certainly don't have any complaints). Pricing is very reasonable. Loved the burgers/sandwiches/nachos and I've also tried most of their appetizers. And enjoyed the bites from my wife's pasta. Thoroughly recommend this place - can't think of any faults. Always seems to be busy, and nice atmosphere. Sliders are flavorful, salads are tossed and dressed just right, and the artichoke spinach dip is hot, creamy, and delicious. Service is cheery and quick, drinks are readily refilled, and the ambience is low lit and low key, except when the bartender has his playlist cranked up really loud.
