Legends has really improved over the years. It's been such a great local bar over the years. Great food! They really stepped up during COVID pandemic by offering discounts and free delivery. We definitely took them up on it quite a few times as we were sick of eating at home. All the staff is externally friendly and the delivery times were quick. We tried multiple food options and even the delivered margaritas. Yum! Our favorites are definitely the boneless jack wings, southwest chicken soup, fresh pear salad and the jalapeño burger. Bomb! Not a good night for the food here at the local bar and grill and I'm pretty sure that's the way it always goes at this local's only joint. If you don't know the waitress name, you don't get your game turned on any television's. The waitress was always polite and the bar manager, Jesse, was very nice as she comped all our food, but that is what someone is expected to do after a bad meal. No Hostess at stand The special of Pecan Crusted chicken was served with cold, flavorless pecan sauce on top. The mashed potatoes were ice cold The Beer (bud light Bottle) was luke warm. The busboy left a shot of whiskey right above our heads and then picked it up and chugged it 20 minutes later. It was left over from another table of people. This is like the 4th crappy sports bar in Anthem. Being crowded is not an excuse for bad food. Burger was clearly a frozen patty. We went to Legends Bar and Grill in Anthem Saturday at 5:30 pm during happy hour. It was great! The food was good & reasonably priced, especially as my husband had a quesadilla that was just $5 during happy hour. My friend had the fish and chips which was good and perfectly cooked. I had the jalapeño burger with added avocado which was delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. I wish I'd noted her name! Sorry! We are seniors so we like to eat earlier; by the time we were done, at 7 pm, the younger people & sports enthusiasts were coming in to see an MMA fight between two female fighters. There was a $7 service charge to view it. We didn't know about it ahead of time so we felt very fortunate to have timed our dinner just right. We were in town to visit my friend who lives in Anthem and wanted to talk & catch up, which we were able to do. So, you can go there to enjoy a good meal and good service & also if you enjoy a sports events. I only do reviews if I feel a restaurant is really good or super bad. Absolutely amazing. The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. Could not believe how affordable the food was. Had the New York strip and it was perfectly cooked and had a great char. I'm use to paying $50 to $60 for a good New York but this without a doubt one of the best steaks I shave had. Keep up the great work, will be back soon. read more

I think Legends is one of the few original Anthem restaurants left. I can see why. Every single time we eat or order carry out from Legends, it's exceptional. When to Legends and was disappointed. After sitting for 15 minutes at the window seats we had nobody come up and ask us if we wanted a drink. I got up went to the bar and picked up two menus while three bartender girls just watched me. None came over so my wife and I got up and left the place. I would not recommend this place to anybody because of their lack of interest to service the customer. I guess this younger generation is not service oriented. read more

My family and I have been going to Legends for years; they have supported the community programs such as the high school events to individualized fundraisers for those in need and we are so thankful for all they have done for Anthem! To boot, the food is absolutely AMAZING!! You have to have Gordo's Tacos(he is the cook and a Rockstar) not to mention Jess and Shelly the bartenders who make the absolute best "Perfect Margarita." We've lived in Anthem for almost 3 years and have always felt so welcome here. I don't think we've ever tried something we don't like. My daughter loves their pizza, my son loves their Jack Daniels wings, and we love trying their specials. We went a few weeks ago for my son's 10th birthday and one of the servers made it special by singing Happy Birthday and making his night. We always feel taken care of and important there. We stopped in here on a whim after I searched Yelp for a restaurant in the area. It was a little tricky to find since it's tucked away in a large parking lot but I am glad we found it!! I, of course, started with a Bloody Mary which I was pleasantly surprised with. They actually had quite a bit of garnishes which seems to be hard to find in Arizona. It was decent, nothing out of the ordinary but it was a good solid Bloody Mary. I also ordered the French dip and onion rings. This is where everything took a turn...it was the best french dip I have had in a long time. The meat was so nice and tender and the flavor was perfection. The au jus was excellent, not too salty! The onion rings were also pretty good however I am not the biggest fan of the large onion rings but that is more preference than anything. The atmosphere was great, they have great little booths that are kind of secluded which I love. They had enough TVs to watch the games and the service was really great. Gave Legends another try last weekend. They seemed to have toned down the music, at least that day anyway. The place was slammed, not an open table to be had and there was only 2 waitstaff. Eventually, another gal came in but we were in awe with how just those 2 waitstaff handled all of those people. My husband had the jalapeno burger which was fantastic. I had the southwestern chicken soup which was equally fantastic. The only thing we wouldn't order again was the artichoke spinach dip with chips. We like it more garlicky than what they serve. All in all, it was a very good lunch and we appreciated how hard the staff worked to keep everyone happy. They did a terrific job and we let them know by the generous tip we left. Not handicapped accessible. When we arrived my wife went into the restaurant to ask where the handicapped tables were located. She was told by the server that the establishment does not have handicapped seating inside, only outside on the patio. Grudgingly we want to the patio. Once our food arrived we were beset with both flies and bees. We had to keep our food covered with napkins in between bites to keep the bugs out. Halfway through the meal it was too much. We asked to see the manager. I told her we were leaving because of the issues I just related. She said she would move us inside, but I'd have to sit at the end of a table blocking the aisle. There are no handicapped tables. We finished our meal. With me blocking the aisle way, a fire code violation. The manager did not offer to comp us or give a discount for the humiliation and difficulty we encountered. We won't be back. read more

The chicken was not blackend and white as can be the size of it was about the size of a credit card and that thin OMG and the bun was 3 times that... They load the marbled rye with a massive pile of pastrami, along with sauerkraut, a mild Thousand Island style sauce and Swiss cheese. Their french fries are both tender and crispy, the perfect partner to the Reuben.
