At the end of their workday, I took a chance and called Family Tire & Automotive Services. I spoke with Howard and explained. His reply was to bring them in first thing, and they would get our two cars diagnosed and serviced. In full disclosure FT&AS had serviced my wife's car with a flat tire only weeks earlier and she was thrilled with their service. I am not so easily impressed with automotive maintenance experiences so was going to reserve judgement. Next morning, we had our cars on premises just before their opening at 8AM. Staff was already readying for the day. Howard greeted us, took our statement, and offered to get the brakes on the one car looked at so we went and grabbed breakfast. Shortly thereafter he said yes, the car needed new back brakes and he could get to work right away. The price was right ad I authorized the work. When that work was complete, we switched cars so he could investigate the steering issue. Howard called that afternoon to say the problem was a minor housing adjustment and that it was so quick and simple he wasn't going to charge me for it. I offered to pay for some labor, but he would not hear of it. All toll our experience at Family Tire & Automotive Services was top notch. They are not a dealership by way of a fancy and expensive waiting room. Not that a dealership service area is a very high bar. They are more a no-frills mom-and-pop operation. They're privately owned and run so every penny counts and they seem to go the extra mile to earn not only your immediate business but your future business. They seemed reputable and sincere in their intentions. Howard even texted me two days later to ask how the cars were doing (see attached photo). I've never received a personalized text from a dealership or any other automobile service before. Very nice touch! Ultimately, I will continue to give Family Tire & Automotive Services my business.

Had my 2008 Chevy Silverado in to have a dashboard cap put over a crack that developed. She was the only one that would touch it. Did a great job at a more than reasonable price. Next had her replace mirrors, on the Silverado, that would not retract and again a great job at about 1/2 what I had been quoted by another shop. Lastly had my wife's 2008 f150 brakes replaced. Put on new pads and rotors at a very reasonable price. She has been very professional and has been willing to text me with an estimate and then completed all work on time. My vehicle had been returned to me with no transmission fluid and five quarts of oil poured in on top of the existing oil. I brought the car to Ultimate Car Care for diagnostics, and Hunter did a thorough, careful evaluation. What stood out most was Hunter's integrity. He could have easily taken advantage of the situation or exaggerated the damage, but he didn't. He was completely honest and straightforward, and he explained everything clearly. The Kwik Kar district manager even thanked Hunter personally for being truthful about the car not being damaged. That says a lot about the kind of shop this is.
