At this time, the shop foreman was a very kind man named Danny Starnes, and he wrote a estimate for a frontal bumper and collision repair, and I had the eventual work dent repair done by technicians employed by the Autobody Brand and was pleasantly surprised by the superior end result. Now I am thirty five years older and still have a great future ahead, but I have a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan that has a nasty dent on the sliding entry door and I would eventually like to have repaired and color matched up as close as possible. I had a life changing brush with a deadly virus called Meningoccocemia, and instantly became a deaf quadrilateral amputee halfway around the world, in Christchurch, New Zealand, where I was an Organizational Behavior and Management Lecturer, teaching university undergraduate students in Commerce. I returned to Houston, Texas, where I received the technical training and physical therapy for my life back home in north Denton, Texas, 446 Strata Dr., Denton, Texas 76201. Special thanks to Matt and TJ (I learned the name of the painter) for repairing and repainting my new-to--me BMW 330i ZHP just right! Not two days after I bought this beauty from a friend, some low-life POS here in Denton keyed it. But since I needed a front bumper repaint and a dent fix on another door, it just got done all at the same time. Just like my front end repaint of my 1998 4Runner (below), Mat was willing to work with me on lowering my out of pocket cost as much as possible by allowing me to remove body parts to allow me to save on labor and reinstallation costs that the shop would charge. This actually allowed me to remove the black door and front bumper protection parts (black strips) and recondition them with a graphene-type black coating. Just like last time, Mats and crew did a solid job. I opted not to blend the rear passenger door panel to save a grand or so and they still did an excellent paint match! The key scratches along the passenger door are all gone as is the dent that the previous owner's wife put in it. Also, I had Mats and team paint the front bumper as it was faded pretty bad, and lastly there were a bunch of white door dings caused again by the PO's wife. Oh, the shop also does mechanic work. They fixed the rear passenger door's window regulator and now the window works as it should. The car looks AMAZING. She'll be a garage queen for sure for now and I have a bunch of little things I need to do to get it perfect. But again, the paint job is fantastic, the service was great, and the communications by all parties kept me informed and happy. Thanks again for the second time in a year, Carstars! ****** PREVIOUS REVIEW **** I had a great experience w/ the team at Denton Carstar and special thanks to Mats, who clearly understood that I was wanting to save as much money as possible but still want a quality paint job at the end. My beloved 1998 4Runner (owned since 2000) spent most of its life in CA and has been one of the best vehicles I've owned and has taken me to far off places but has reliably performed on the day-to-day stuff that life threw at me. Needless to say though at 275K miles, I didn't want to break the bank getting it painted. I called about 7 different places and 5 of them never returned calls so I went to Carstars because it was close to my work place. Mats understood that I am a car guy and take pride in this vehicle. He allowed me to remove some exterior parts that I knew how to do to save on money, and I really appreciated that. From there, he and the crew there turned my vehicle over to me in about 8-9 days. The paint looks great! Oh, the prior paint job from an autobody place in CA had delaminated at the 10 year mark as they said it would, so this was a repaint. Anyways back to the paint job, I don't see a single flaw and I hope it lasts as long as they say it will. So far so good, no complaints. Highly recommend that you talk with Mats! I've attached a bunch of before and after shots though the after shots do not have the fender flares and the antenna back on as I'm waiting for parts.

This was two days before Thanksgiving 2024 and after a couple weeks went by receiving no communication, I posted a review on Google still no phone calls. I reached out to them YET AGAIN after another week and instead of communicating about my vehicle she wanted to argue about the bad review I left stating they attempted to call me. I printed out my phone logs just to further prove my point that during this entire fiasco they have attempted to call me only once. I sat in their office having a face-to-face conversation with them stating that the cosmetics mean nothing to me I need my vehicle to operate mechanically and safely just as it did before I was hit. Weeks go by and still no word. Once again I call them and I was told was that they completed cosmetic work prior to even looking at the mechanical work and were still waiting to assess the mechanical portion. On what planet would a mechanical shop perform cosmetic work prior to any mechanical work?! What if the car is totaled? I mean, I'm just a mechanic too, What do I know? We have now started a brand new year. It's a week in to 2025 and the last time I have heard about my car was at the beginning of December. If you want your car fixed correctly and in a timely manner, do not bring your car here.. I wouldn't wish this place on my enemies. Lessons learned.

They were the only ones who said they could do the entire car including the hood as paintless dent repair. They were also able to start within a week instead of 6-8 weeks by the other body shops. My car looks brand new again. My husband and I had Matt put the car under lights and went over it with a fine tooth comb. They did all they said they would and in the time they said. Easy guys to work with and I would take it there again and highly recommend them. Also Matt is a Vet and this is only one small way to support our troops! Moreno Customs is not what it used to be, apparently. I paid half of $2000 in November, 2021, for…read morecarpet and front seat upholstery for my daughter's 2002 Eldorado. In March, 2022, Ricardo said to bring the car in. It sat outside on the lot, collecting dirt until December, 2022, when the work was finally completed. I paid the balance, thanked Ricardo, and drove home. On the way, I notice that the panel above the radio had cracked and been glued. I thought maybe this damage had been done earlier and that I hadn't noticed it, but after receiving a replacement part from eBay and starting to install it, I noticed several other places behind the radio where plastic was broken. Apparently, Moreno pried on the panel as well as the radio, trying to access the mounts for the center console. Also, one of the center console mounts was broken at both ends because they had applied upward pressure to the console until it broke loose. And the trim around the shifter was broken off. In a follow-up text, Ricardo apologized for the damage, but also said that damage was already there. It wasn't. I had had the radio out previously and there was no damage to anything. There is a specific sequence of screw removal to gain access behind the console. I had learned how to remove these parts from a YouTube video. See my photos of the damage. Moreno Customs has apparently had a bad year. Ricardo blamed the pandemic, supply chain issues and employees quitting. This is all understandable, but doesn't justify rushing through a disassembly by breaking a customer's parts. How did he even think I wouldn't notice the damage? I think I will be able to epoxy the plastics parts back together, but am not sure how long they will hold up. I have also discovered that the new carpet was installed on top of the old, dirty carpet. My first reaction is WTH? I can't find anything online supporting this as an accepted practice in a vehicle. I guess Moreno saved some money on underlay material. So, now I have to live with the thought of the dirt and stains still being there, out of sight. Sheesh.
