As part of the trade-in process, the dealership was supposed to pay off the financing/lien on my GMC. However, two months later, my GMC lender is still charging me every month. My GMC payment is $1,559 per month. That means I am being charged $1,559 every month for a vehicle I already traded in and no longer have, while I am also paying for the Ford F-350 I purchased from this dealership. This has caused me serious financial stress, real financial loss, and risk to my credit. Under Washington State law, RCW 46.70.180, when a dealership accepts a vehicle as a trade-in with an existing lien, the dealer must have proof that the lien was paid within two calendar days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after the sales contract is signed by all parties and all conditions are satisfied. This trade-in happened about two months ago, and my old lender is still charging me. That is completely unacceptable. I contacted the salesperson, Ezequiel Garcia Rivera, asking for answers and help with this situation. Instead of taking responsibility and helping me get this resolved, I feel like he is not willing to help me or provide a real solution. I asked for proof that the GMC loan was paid off, and I asked why I am still being charged by my old lender, but I have not received the help or urgency that this situation requires. This is not a small mistake. This is not just an inconvenience. I am being charged $1,559 per month for a truck that I no longer own because I traded it in to this dealership. The dealership took my trade-in, sold me another vehicle, and now I am the one stuck dealing with the bank, extra payments, stress, and the possibility of damage to my credit. I need the dealership to immediately provide written proof that the GMC loan was paid off, including the payoff amount, date sent, check number or wire confirmation, and confirmation from my lender that the lien has been satisfied. I also expect to be reimbursed for every payment I was charged after the trade-in, including the $1,559 monthly payment, plus any fees, interest, credit damage, or financial losses caused by this delay. Customers should not have to chase a dealership for basic responsibilities after a trade-in. A dealer should not take a customer's trade-in and leave them paying for a vehicle they no longer have. I trusted this dealership to handle the payoff properly, and now I am paying the price for their failure to resolve it. I strongly recommend that anyone doing a trade-in here verify directly with their old lender that the vehicle was actually paid off. After the contract was signed, payment was completed, and I received the car, the dealer later tried to pressure me into signing a new contract with a different date so they could get money back from the state/IRS. This is not the customer's responsibility once the sale is final. Another issue: the dealer included extra charges and add-on items in the contract that I did not ask for. Disorganized and Unprofessional Experience: Wow, where do I begin? First off, the price of the car listed online was $24,500, but when I showed up in person, it mysteriously jumped to $26,999 with no clear explanation. I suspect they applied a state rebate without disclosing it but who really knows? The salesperson named Carlos had me walking the lot for nearly 10 minutes looking for the car because he couldn't find it and later took my keys and initiated a trade-in process without my full consent. I was there for over an hour, and 30 minutes before closing, Carlos returned my keys, saying the banks were taking too long. The next day (at 7pm keep in mind) I received texts and calls saying I was approved for zero down with the trade-in. But my gut feeling was off so I ignored him. On Wednesday Carlos and the assistant kept calling and texting me telling me that I was approved. The assistant made me feel better about the situation and was acting as a liaison. Carlos told me I was approved with Zero down and the Trade. He said to head over and to ask for Fernando, so I sent my ETA and I drove 40 minutes back to the dealership, only to find that no one named "Fernando" was there. I waited for 30 minutes without anybody approaching me, I had to chase down employees for help several times, and was finally informed that my approval was still in process. When I followed up the next day I was told that the salesperson had made a mistake, and I would need a co-signer. The amount of disorganization, lack of communication, and unprofessionalism was frustrating and a complete waste of my time and gas money. (Any thing as is SOMETHING IS WRONG) but they said the car was fine. (So why is it as is) less than 3 months later the transmission went out, I had to pay (them) $2300 to fix it, and they told me that was a discount than less than a yr later the engine went out. I am done with these guys. i see the same car make and model being sold other places and some at LAS for $18-$20000 so there is a reason why the one I had was $10,000 they just lied to me. We notified them immediately and asked for them to replace with working cables. They did not replace or respond and we have had to purchase on our own. They also have sent us a bill for a difference for licensing when we were told they would cover any difference at sale. For purchasing a high end car and making it simple for them with cash, the service has been awful and we have had zero follow up and the parts and accessories did not work. This was hands-down the best car buying experience we have ever had. Whatever you do, ask for KC - he's amazing and truly awesome to work with! We called Legend Auto Sales after spending hours at the Infiniti of Bellevue, on the hunt for a specific model of Infiniti with very specific features. We saw that they had ONE at their lot (and the only one within 400 miles - they're not kidding when they say they have everything...) and my husband called to confirm availability, and we set an appointment for the next morning. We got there right when they opened on Sunday morning and KC had already brought the car to the front of the lot, and had it heating up before we even arrived. What an awesome show of customer service; he had taken the extra time to be prepared for our appointment. The car itself was STUNNING - a round of applause for the detail crew at Legend! We had came in with a very specific budget in our mind with what we wanted to spend and KC made it very clear that he was going to work with us and help us make our dream come true. They were able to give us top dollar for Mercedes we traded in as well as very clearly explain the loan terms and help us get within $25 of our budget. AH-EFFING-MAZING. Legend also offers a really cool bumper-to-bumper warranty (if that's the right terminology) that basically covers any unexpected issues with the car including ALL the electronics. Which is super important in this day and age where a car is just as much a computer as it is a way to get from point "A" to point "B".
