Birthday cake
Jonathan L.

Spent my most recent birthday here! I loved it here. We rented out an entire room inside the brewery. Everybody that came loved it here. Drinks were great and food was delicious too. Food and drinks came with the room we rented. This makes everything so much easier to plan since everything came with the package we bought. The only thing I had to do was bring my birthday cake! Also love their stout. I'd say that's their best beer. I won't be back here next year since I'm going to be in Vietnam for my next birthday. But after that, I wouldn't mind going back here for another birthday or celebration or even if I just want a drink after a long day.

Offshore Haze - hazy IPA

Left Coast in Irvine remains our treasured local brewery. Big shout out to Margot - she's the absolute best. So sweet, fun and great customer service. We stopped in on a recent Friday and got a seat at the bar. Nice chill vibes and it wasn't too busy. We got our favorite hazy IPA - Offshore Haze. It's the best beer on the menu IMO. Rounded it out with a Voo Doo Stout, another excellent beer in their rotation. We got some of their food to go and I think it's better than ever. The cornbread was perfect, we also got the brisket burger, which is pretty big and filling for the price and it was cooked perfectly. We tried a new menu item - the cheesesteak - and my husband loved it. Great staff and great location, lucky to have it right in the middle of Irvine.

This is a great spot pretty close to where I live. One thing I love about this spot is that they have a full menu! Definitely hard to come by in a brewery setting. This time we came by just for a beer and to relax on Friday night. Service was quick and friendly. It can get a bit loud inside, but they have plenty of outdoor seating as well. I am a huge fan of the blood orange IPA!

Fried Chicken sandwich

Not only is this a great brewery it is also a great place to have a meal! The burgers and sandwiches are HUGE. The beers are yummy and theres a huge variety of options, i got the blonde Marvel. We tried the chicken sandwich 9/10, the barbecue burger 10/10, the cornbread 7/10 and the mac n cheese 8/10. The prices are reasonable because the portions are huge. We asked for the fire pit to be lit just because i love fire pits and although it was such a silly suggestion because its a warm day they still did it and i do appreciate it very much.

Casual spot with student seating options inside and out. As the name suggests, beers are featured but you'll find options if you dont drink alcohol. It's family friendly too. We weren't the only party with adults and a team of young athletes. I was most excited about the burnt ends but they weren't ready during lunch so settled for the brisket sliders with side salad. Also got the house chips. Great portion but they were pretty greasy. The bacon mac and cheese and fried chicken sandwich were hits.

This place mainly felt like a sit-down and chill with the homies type feel so it didn't bother me too much that the food was a little mid. The fries were soft and a lil soggy, not great texture. The chips were kinda bland and brittle. The chicken was good and juicy tbh, did an excellent job there. Onion rings were solid, held its shape and didn't fall apart. Ranch was pretty good too. Nothing too crazy, pretty decent food for a brewery. Didn't take a photo but the Blond (lager?) was fire

Beets were delicious. Food was fantastic. Live music vibes were awesome for a chill little thursday with the boys. Service was very quick and bartenders were all very nice! If you're around the area they also have trivia nights and cornhole tournaments! Only thing I noticed is one of the workers whi was bussing the tables was very violently pushing the tables and chairs together. I know the tables and chairs are heavy but they seemed frustrated. Hope they are okay. Other than that and the horrible parking, everything else is pretty solid! I loved the Raspberry Sour. They got somethin for everybody!

I've passed by this place countless times and finally decided to check it out. It's an open-space brewery and distillery offering a wide range of drinks--beer, whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, agave spirits, and mocktails. There's also a food menu. The vibe is casual and social. Sports were playing on the TVs, and it seemed like a great place to hang out with friends. They also have a separate room which may be used for private events. I ordered a hazy IPA, and it was ok. From what I've seen on Untappd, most of their beers tend to land around the 3.5 to 3.8 range, and that feels about right.

Flight and full pour.

This place doesn't deserve the current 3.5 stars that it's currently rated at. It's a solid 4... the atmosphere is 5/5. The service is 5/5. The beers are 4/5. The food is 3/5. They also have a distillery which isn't always the case for most breweries. The place is clean and spacious. The bathrooms are clean. There's really nothing special about the beers. But they are solid and cold. As for the food, I've had worse food. The burnt ends looked and tasted like they were in the smoker 15 hours longer than their original 15 hours. The Mac and cheese is the standard food truck type of Mac and cheese. So being priced at $7 right now isn't that bad honestly. And the fried pickles were probably my favorite. But these aren't the southern type of fried pickles. They're in chunks and fried (fried well). Southern fried pickles are sliced and fried. Not in chunks. So when they first serve it, wait a bit bc there's a lot of HOT pickle juice that still needs to cool! Overall, not a bad spot. I prepared myself for complete disappointment due to the average review. But they allow kids, dogs, and we all had a good time.

Side salad with asada taco dumped on top. Yummy!
Danna P.

Legit tacos for taco Tuesday! Salsa had a little kick and was perfect for my tastebuds! I'm doing low carb so I also ordered a side salad minus the croutons and dumped my asada on top. It was delicious!!! The service was just okay. The order taker did not seemed to be in a great mood. Maybe he was having a bad day. I'd definitely come for tacos again! I'll be back soon to also check out the rest of the menu.

Classic Cornbread, Classic Smoked Pulled Pork, Side House Salad, Mac n Cheese

We loved this spot as a big group even on a busy Saturday night! Food was good, the burger and BBQ were delicious. Mac and cheese was solid but nothing special. We loved the variety of the drinks, especially the NA options. Fun spot with lots of tables and easy to hang out as a group.

Mac and cheese for the kiddos. They ate about half.
Eric R.

Know what you're getting into. Food was decent, staff was friendly, and ambiance is enjoyable. A bit overpriced, and the expectation of 18% tip is irritating for carrying my own drinks, getting my own silverware, getting my own to go boxes, and clearing my own table of dirty dishes from the previous party. Probably won't go again. Brisket was ok, Philly cheese was the best thing we ordered.

Do you have happy hour? If so, what days?

We do not offer a happy hour. We keep our beer and spirit prices pretty low at all times to make up for that.

Do you have trivia nights?

Yes we do. Every Wednesday night in Irvine from 7-9pm

Hi. It's the manager of 9R. Do I need a reservation for tonight for x-amount of my team and my members?

Hi Mary. My apologies for not seeing this sooner. I hope everything worked out. In the future we are first come first serve. No reservations. Thanks.

Do they still have their expanded patio? Hoping to sit outside👍🏻

Hi Alicia. We do have a patio but the extended version is no longer there. Plenty of room on our current patio. See you soon.

Are children allowed in, or is it 21 and over only?

Yes children are welcome. We are a restaurant as well. Thanks.

Do you guys have board games, can we bring something like cards against humanity?

We do have board games but yes you are welcome to bring cards against humanity.

Do they also offer wine?

So, no, they don't have wine and I was disappointed, too, at first. The bartender was really good about explaining the taste of their beers and I said I was a wine drinker and they matched me up with some really delicious beers. Also, they have… Read more

There weren't many IPA options or darker beers available. The smash burgers were delicious. I ordered the original smash burger and it definitely did not disappoint. I feel like a lot of places offer smash burgers nowadays but don't execute them well -- either you can't taste the beef or they overload it with cheese and sauce. Here, everything felt balanced. The beef had a great grilled crispiness to it, and the flavors all came through nicely. The tater tots were also really good, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Parking can be a bit difficult. They share a small lot with other businesses, so it fills up quickly. You'll probably need to find street parking nearby, and there isn't a ton of it available either.

Toasted bun, melted cheese draped properly, solid build integrity. Structurally, it's a well composed burger. But here's the honest take. The patty itself felt like it was holding back. The texture was good juicy enough, cooked properly yet the flavor didn't quite punch the way you expect from a brewery burger. It needed more salt, maybe a stronger sear, maybe even a blend with a bit more fat to bring depth. Right now, it tastes safe. And a place known for bold craft beer shouldn't serve a safe burger. The cheese and toppings carried more personality than the beef did. Every bite had balance, but not enough edge. A sharper cheddar, a house-made sauce with some acidity, or even a slightly more aggressive seasoning profile would elevate it from "good" to "I'm coming back for this." That said, it's not a bad burger. It's dependable. It just hasn't stepped fully into its potential. In a brewery setting where flavor is the brand, the cheeseburger should taste like it belongs next to a flagship IPA not like it's auditioning for it. Room for improvement? Definitely.
