gettin across the river to ky is a bit difficult for me, but i went out of my way recently to shop around for christmas presents and finally try out Left Bank while i was in the area! the little store inside was SO cute, literally a fan girl's dream with all the 1D and Taylor Swift goodies. the coffee was delicious as well as friendly service from the barista! i do wish there was more seating available, but also understand that this building is small and more made for quick service grab n go. will definitely be returning when i'm in the neighborhood read more

I went out of my way to stop in and support a local coffee shop. I was sadly disappointed with my order and ended up dumping it out. I ordered an iced lavender vanilla latte and since they did not have almond milk I had it made with coconut milk instead. The syrup flavors did not come through and the added shot that I was hoping would make it the perfect morning boost I needed, was lost in the coconut milk. The attached gift shop was cute and I purchased a couple of stickers (one pack and one single) which totaled $16. While I do want to support local, I also want to do so at a location that will give me my caffeine and not break my wallet in the process. read more

Left Bank is part coffeehouse, part gift shop. It is a cute little building, but there is no indoor seating. However, there is a small patio outside. We went twice while recently visiting the area. The coffee was pretty good - we got different kinds of iced coffee. Beans come from Deeper Roots. They have a small case of baked goods, as well as some other snacks. I tried a ham and cheese croissant and it was delicious. Overall, its a very cool concept. The only negative part was the staff came off quite curt, and the whole experience felt rushed, despite us being the only ones in the shop at the time. read more

Left Bank Coffeehouse is a cute neighborhood coffeehouse and gift shop located near Covington's Licking Riverside Historic District. We broke up a long dog walk this morning with a visit there, enjoying a latte, cappuccino and a danish in the quiet, secluded back patio. There are two or three small tables up front as well, perfect for watching the world go by. All the coffee drinks are made fresh from scratch and there's a charming, lightly French-themed gift shop featuring cards, candles, and cute gift items. I literally only ended up here because I was an hour early to my appointment just down the street. I wanted a place to hang out and I discovered that this was a 3-minute walk away. Got here and saw the loveliest garden out front with tables and chairs. Very European and New Orleans looking and totally charming. I ordered myself a cappuccino and was able to enjoy it on the front patio while I waited. Just a really cute place that deserves all the business from all the locals. So if you're looking for some coffee quick, then this is a decent spot. The only thing I will tell you is the barista is not a friendly barista as well as they use a lot of syrups. It's a place where you play at your own risk. They did have coconut milk, which was a plus I did get a Danish I wouldn't get the Danish again it's not the most moist Danish more so on the dry end. It's a place where you play at your own risk. Also they charge 10% service charges, why I don't know but I'm sure they don't deserve it. This was my first and last time going. I absolutely love the vibe of this cute little coffee shop. Don't let the size fool you though! Their coffee packs a punch and is always made perfectly. I believe they use Deeper Roots coffee which in my opinion, is the best around. Half the store serves as a shop for small local businesses/artists which I always appreciate and support. The ladies behind the coffee bar are always welcoming, helpful, and greet everyone with a smile. I enjoyed one of their fun seasonal flavors, Santa's Milk & Cookies. I ordered mine iced and with soy-milk which made for a creamy delicious holiday coffee drink. The flavor was spot on and reminded me of being a kid around Xmas time. Have not been here in quite a few years, so decided to stop in on Saturday morning. It was fairly busy but the line moved very quick. They serve Deeper Roots Coffee so overall it's pretty decent. This has to be one of the cheapest coffee shops around. A large coffee is only $2! My only complaint here is they have no indoor seating. So your coffee will have to be to go. Will definitely be back especially when the weather warms up! They also have a little gift shop and a local artist has a shop next door with random things you can purchase. read more

Coziest coffee shop in Cincinnati/ NKY! Try to name a café with a better vibe, cozier/ warmer feel... you can't! I got their speciality, The Greenup, a honey lavender mocha. I would have put up with burned Starbucks coffee just for the privilege of hanging out here, but their drinks are (like the rest of Left Bank) fantastic. They have a patio and additional outside seating on 7th St.; I want to return and have the outdoor experience this Spring. Since parking is free for 3 hours on Greenup, you could come here for hours and get some serious work done. They also offer tea by the pot, a french press coffee (which makes multiple cups) and "The Intern" which is a coffee with a free refill. Refills are only $.50 on the coffees anyway, so it's a great value. This is a perfect study spot. A perfect informal meeting spot. Left Bank is unpretentious with tons of character - I am impressed! read more

After reading the reviews I was really excited to try this place. The good is that the place is absolutely adorable. It is charming and quirky and the outside area is cozy and comfortable. However, there is NO indoor seating. From what I can gather there may have been at one point, but it is just a retail area now. They also don't offer ceramics mugs; just paper cups which I always find very disappointing. The coffee was fine. Again, the inside is very cute. The bathroom is pretty amazing (trust me, if you go you have to check it out), and the people working were friendly enough, but I left feeling a bit disappointed. read more

Stopped by hoping for a pastry and coffee and a warm place to sit for a while....and was completely disappointed. First off, it's coffee service out of a window, and not very nice people working at that window. Indoor seating isn't an option, and outside chairs are metal and uncomfortable (and very cold in the snow). Coffee was good, but the pastry selection was basically a couple sad, dried out croissants in a case outside the window (i.e. left out in the cold) next to some pre-packaged sweets and what I think is a kid's prize/gum all machine. Ehhhhhh. Inside there's a supposed gift shop, but the door was locked and one had to ask for permission to come in and take a look. I don't think this place is interested in being an actual coffee shop, just blaring loud music, engrossed in their personal conversations and occasionally noticing a customer standing at the window with no way to get their attention. Overall, a weird and rude little shop that really offers nothing other than a few coffee options out of a window. Will definitely not be back, plenty of other coffee shops in the area with a more comfortable experience. read more

Left Bank Coffeehouse is the perfect place to pop in your ear buds, listen to NPR, and buckle down to get some work done. The dark and cozy atmosphere inside provides a great spot to buckle down and get shit done. Seating inside is pretty limited, but there is additional seating outside for the warmer times of the year. The staff seemed very friendly, and the parking outside was free for two hours. The caffeine was plentiful and the pastries looked tempting, but I didn't indulge. As others have remarked, the pricing seemed quite fair. Sometimes I prefer to work in bright open environments, and other times I prefer a cozy little nook, this spot is definitely better for the latter. Left Bank is nothing short of adorable and is a great spot to grab some caffeine and hammer out some work. I'll be back! read more

Cute local place in Covington for cheap and quick coffee. They have a different roast everyday which makes things interesting. My large coffee was only $2 and it tasted really full-bodied, not watery. The staff was friendly and the order/pick up window is super convenient and covid friendly. This small coffee shop stays busy from open to close and its because every coffee is made to order. The menu selection is unique and changing and the small baked goods selection does not disappoint; I was particularly boring with choosing a chocolate croissant the first few visits until I tried the Almond croissant. I work from home a lot so sometimes it's nice to get out. The WiFi usually works great, never had an issue. The coffee is pretty good, not the best I've ever had but it'll do. Barista was rude. Not how I like to start my day. She greeted me gruffly after I said good morning. I asked for a 12oz americano. Her response was "we have small and large". I asked which is closest to 12 ounces? Her response: "small 12 oz, large 16 oz". Ok, so you either don't listen to the customer or you wanted to argue, either way I'm not interested. I selected a feta and spinach savory roll, it had zero spinach, not a hint of feta and was not fresh. Then while paying, I'm asked to tip. Why would I reward rudeness? Left Bank - how insanely adorable are YOU?! Working from home is hard. People tell you it's a dream but sometimes you have to force yourself to put on pants and leave the house. When doing so, I try to support as many local businesses as possible without compromising on comfort for the day. And I could totally see myself working from here a few times a month. The space is quite small but they really make great use of it. The atheistic is always VERY important to me as I like things clean. Although this place is older and homey feeling it is still very clean and without clutter. When I'm surrounded by art I feel inspired sure, but I don't want to be surrounded by dust-filled plants and weird figurines staring at me. This place is the just the right amount of colorful and cozy. As for the menu - I ordered a green tea and a bagel and my total was something like $3. WOW. Shocked at the seriously low prices here. The woman working said this was her parents house and her and her sister usually run the day to day. She was as friendly as can be and seemed like she really loved doing what she does. The parking outside is free for 2 hours, or there are meters. It's off the beaten path and either you will love that or hate that. I like to get away and this place is perfect. ALSO, pro-tip: they have great outdoor seating for the warmer months and they are also great on social media. Follow them to get a feel for the place and come check them out. This is my absolute favorite coffee spot in town y'all. The patio is cute and dog friendly (you know Josie girl loves her some sunshine and the chance to get carb loaded) and we just love LBC! I have rave thoughts about every latte flavor including the seasonal varieties (the salted marshmallow OMG) and the baked goods, it's just the best combination. Quaint and welcoming and family run. There's a purchase program with cute little stamps that keep you coming back again and again. I love these people and their products and their involvement in the local community. I loved this place: - it's a very welcome addition to Covington (only 5 blocks from me, so I feel very lucky!) - very very cosy inside, lovely interior - extremely friendly crew - family friendly: went in with my 3 month old baby and was only greeted by smiles, and the granddaughters of the owners were having breakfast at a table next to me, how cute :) - real flowers on each table, please keep this up, it's just so nice! And your customers do notice :) - free dog biscuits (I don't have a dog, but still!) - great brown sugar scone and hot chocolate The only remark I have is that it would be nicer if they would be open in the afternoon too, but it's a family business so I can understand they want some time off too. I would however probably stop by more if I could come in for an afternoon treat (at 3/4 pm). Also, it is really neat to know that this coffee house was the dream of the owners and that they have been working on it for years and years. You can imagine how excited they must be to have finally opened up and to have their daughters working at this place. I discovered Left Bank Coffee House one day with my mother. We were looking or somewhere fun and new to visit and we opted for Left Bank as it's just two blocks from where I work so we figured we would at least know where were we going. What a fantastic gift we gave to ourselves that day! Left Bank Coffee is right on the corner of 7th Street and Greenup and may seem quiet on the outside (which is still adorable, by the way), but the inside is packed from floor to ceiling with so much character. I don't know how you could possibly walk into this place and not smile. Everything is so cool! Everyone in the family that operates Left Bank is so nice. I can't help but be so happy that this little dream of theirs has come true. I love supporting them because they seem so genuinely nice and happy to serve their customers. I haven't had anything here I didn't like and that includes a lavender latte. My favorite drink is the almond latte, which is a must try if you haven't had one. They have so many flavors that I believe anyone could find something they like here. I am also really happy to say they have quite a few milk and non dairy milk options; a huge plus for us lactose intolerant customers. The pastries are amazing as well, my favorite being the cheese Danish. They regularly have cookies, scones, donuts and so many other yummy treats. They also sell dog treats made from spent grains at local craft beer breweries, which is a plus if you're out walking your pup and want to stop and get treats for both of you. When you order your beverage you can sit with it on the porch, inside or in the back yard. The front porch is nice and has many chairs and comfortable seating options. The inside takes me right back to the cool little coffee shops of Paris. Everything about the decor is on point! A few tables are made of old rulers and there are large train station benches for booth seating. My favorite part of the inside is the little bookshelf at the back of the shop which features books all for sale for $1! Many of these books are in pristine condition and I usually walk out with 2-10 new reads packed in a bag and ready to go. They also have a little kiosk full of local, purchasable art, crafts, and wearables. The backyard features comfortable seating options and a nice little bonfire that's lit in the colder months. If you want to go to a cool, local, family owned coffee shop I implore you to visit Left Bank. It is such a unique experience and I can't see any way that you wouldn't enjoy yourself immensely. read more
