As I am not a fan of hotel coffee so I ventured a short walk to this coffee shop/book store. Service was polite and the coffee was hot and flavorful. Granted there wasn't a lot of places to sit but I managed to get a comfortable seat surrounded by books. The Cincinnati area does have a number of good local coffee shops and this one was close to our hotel. You are also close to the Roebling Bridge if you care to check it out. read more

THIS is that place ... and stepping inside this unassuming little shop makes you feel like the main character. Roebling Point Books & Coffee is *cool* ... in the most welcoming way possible. There's so many interesting things to look at ... so many books to browse ... all while you're sipping your artfully prepared coffee beverage. My fiancé and I wandered in for something warm one chilly morning on our way to the Covington Farmers Market ... and ended up spending almost 45 minutes just experiencing what this shop has to offer. Since then, we've turned our visits into somewhat of a tradition ... we just can't get enough of this cozy coffee shop. One of the best parts about this shop is how small it looks from the outside ... and how you'll get lost in the seemingly endless rooms of books once you're inside. You truly could spend hours here ... and some folks do, as there are tables and comfy chairs set up for reading, studying and the like. I've stopped in here two times now and I already see it becoming one of my new safe spaces. This is a bookstore, knickknack shop, and coffee shop combined. I came in and ordered a hot latte, which comes in two sizes, with oat milk. I carried it around as I perused the book options, which ranged from local authors to graphic novels to hiking and biking guides. There are multiple rooms with comfortable couch seating and a table perfect for setting up work or a board game with friends. They also have a used book section with lots of gems that are all under $5 each. They have a lot of local knickknacks and souvenirs of the Covington area. I wish I had more time in the city to sit down and read a book, sadly I was just grabbing a quick coffee before getting on the road. They had a few little rooms filled with books and places to sit. Staff was terrible, feel sorry for the business owner. Wasn't greeted when walked in and waited forever to get checked out, everyone seemed very judgmental. Their conversation about hating men seemed to be the most important thing going on. It was honestly comical how bad the employees are here. This little place is awesome! It's located in an old house-converted-coffee shop-hangout. Popped in on a Saturday morning and it was bustling with people. The coffee itself was very good and prices were super reasonable (most under $3). The service was fast, especially since there was only one employee making all the orders. They also have books for sale of all types. From local hiking guides, to bird manuals, to fiction and non-fiction and young adult books, there is a book to suite everyone. Cute, vintage bookstore! I've walked past it before but had never gone in. My friends and I came after lunch at The Gruff across the street and decided to get some coffee. It was still early afternoon. For a Thursday, it wasn't all that busy at the coffee counter although there were more people sitting over by the books. There are multiple rooms. They've got couches and tables. Not a ton of space to study or to chat. It's a place where you'd have to stay quiet in order to respect readers. We were talking in one of the rooms and one elderly dude kept looking over at us. Oops! I saw mostly folks my grandparents age. Not sure why? My friend mentioned those are usually the type of people here. LOL. Maybe millennials just grab coffee and then walk around and browse instead of sitting longer? Anyway, the girl at the register was young like us. She was super nice and didn't get stressed making all of our orders. Cheap prices though! I got a medium roast 12 oz with almond milk for $2.50! I'm so used to paying almost $5 for a coffee so this was quite refreshing! Really good coffee! My friends got a cappuccino and a gingerbread latte! They loved it!! They've got soy milk, so no worries if you've got issues with lactose! Loved the music selection they were playing! Lots of great alternative. The vibe is less coffee shop and reminds me more of a library. It's cute! You can smell the old books! But they decorated the place to make you feel comfortable so I don't mind coming back again to browse again and order a coffee! I'll be much more quiet next time! read more

I am obsessed with this hidden gem in the NKY area! I got a gift card to Roebling Point Books & Coffee as a housewarming gift when I moved to the area, so I was able to ride my bicycle to the shop and explore the books they had to offer. The rooms full of books to the ceiling just kept on going! I was so impressed by the selection and how well they were organized. I was able to sit inside and enjoy my coffee while perusing the book selection and people watching. The coffee was appropriately priced and they had other pastries available as well. The outdoor seating was quaint and had a nice breeze in the shade to escape from the summer sun. I am so excited to return and check out more items on the menu! I've never been in the shop, proper, because I first went during quarantine. That said, I love this bookstore and want to support it. Wonderful people work there. The building and exterior is darling, as evidenced by the chalk message boards. During quarantine, they are offering book delivery, on-line shoping using bookshop, and a walk-up window for coffee and other treats. We snagged some Highlander Grogg, which is like Christmas-in-a-bag, and it lifted our spirits. Shout out to Emily, who helped me over the phone and at the counter today. read more

I was surprised I had not penned a review of this lovely place. I have trouble resisting a book store and RBPC is a perfectly apportioned and quirky spot that I recommend for anyone and not only book lovers. There are non-book gifts for everyone, even the wee little ones. Oh, and the coffee! Not to be outdone by their massive collection of locally themed books and gifts, the coffee and drinks are really great. I've had several different kinds of their lattes, mochas, and coffee and they've all been delicious. Remember, books aren't thirsty so please don't spill your drinks on them ;) Fun (I believe) fact: Roebling (ya know the bridge guy) lived in this building during the suspension bridge construction. the vibes were incredible. Like being in a library, but a very relaxed library. The coffee shop was good, I will say that the dirty chai was not my favorite. I think the blend of tea had a lot of a spice that was a bit strange. That being said, potentially next time I should just try the chai on its own and see if flavor wise that fixes it. They have great book selections and very clearly are a happy community space. They also have lots of local authors and special categories specific to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. It felt so homey! The books were definitely pricier than what's in my Amazon cart, but at least I know that it's going towards a local business, and I try to do that when the budget allows. The one thing that could potentially make it better, is if they had more places to sit down, although it's a small location so they definitely have what they can. Will be back! read more

They are not pretentious like a lot of book/coffee shops are (to the point where you may not want to shop for books or get coffee there) at all. Roebling Point Books and Coffee is small and charming. The walls are lined with books and the shop smells like a library (you know... that smell you get when you open an old book). If I were rating Roebling Point solely as a book store, this would probably be a 4 star review. However, as a coffee shop, I think that this place could use some work. The product: I ordered an iced chai latte and the quiche that they had available the day I went. My whole bill was under $10, which I thought was great value. The iced chai latte was great and exactly what I expected. The quiche... well, the quiche left something to be desired. The quiche was heated behind the counter (I believe in a microwave). When the quiche was handed to me it was sitting in a small pool of egg-water, which already turned me off. If you're visiting, I would recommend sticking with whatever bakery items the shop has available. The atmosphere: If you're here to look for/at books, this place is great. If you're here to work... good luck. There's not a lot of seating here, at least not a lot seating that's conducive to getting work done. After someone left, I was able to snag a table to work at. Then, I had the sudden realization that this place was eerily quiet. There was no music and it felt like I was in the library. I don't know about you, but need some level of music/background noise when I work. I think some quiet background music would help. All in all, Roebling is cute and charming and I would definitely swing by if I was in the area to grab a coffee, but I don't think I would stick around to work or hang out/order food. read more

This is a cute little coffee/book store we happened to come across when we walked across the bridge from Ohio. The outdoor/sidewalk tables have plenty of shade in the morning. The bookstore itself is very cute. The genres of the books are nicely labeled. There are a few seats if you would like to sit down inside the store. They also have a small private room available to rent. The barista was very friendly. I asked for a ginger peach iced tea (delicious!) even though that flavor wasn't listed on today's menu. She gladly made it for me after saying she would have to seep it first so it would be a few extra minutes. Definitely check it out if you're in the area! read more

I came here on Monday and I genuinely cannot express how happy I am that I found this place. In general, I love shops that are both a coffee place and a place to buy books so this was absolutely for me. There were lots of precautions in place which made me feel really comfortable and safe being in the store. I've been loving iced almond milk lattes recently and the one from here was the best one I have tried in a while. It was rather strong which I absolutely love I can't stand when lattes just taste like milk. My boyfriend got a classic black drip coffee which he enjoyed. The interior had a similar vibe to a house with the way it was broken up into different rooms and it made it feel so warm and cozy and welcoming. They had a very wide variety of books but not so many that you would feel overwhelmed by it. I also loved the way that they were organized. The front of the shop had a section of what I'm assuming is their most popular books and I have to admit, when I came in I wasn't expecting to buy any books but they had such an interesting selection! They also highlighted local authors and highlighted authors from various identities which I think is fantastic. Overall I had a fantastic experience and I cannot stop raving about it to everyone I know. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in NKY/Cincinnati area. Why, first the location is amazing, the feel when you walk towards the coffee shop feels like you are so local NKY/Cincinnati residents. I don't know I just felt like the trees and establishment in that area tells you a story about their history, oh well maybe just me and crazy feeling. Anyway, second, literally they convert the house into a coffee shop so it feels so homey like I came down from my bedroom and boom I am in the coffee shop. Third, they have a decent coffee. I don't know, I just like the feeling of staying there, reading book, do somework or just even seat there. It just gives me that relax feeling. I am home from grad school for Christmas break & wanted to explore greater Cincinnati with my family. I did some research and found this coffeeshop/bookstore had recently fought off The Man and rising gentrification rents in order to stay open, which I'm totally about. As soon as we walked in, the best word to describe the ambience was awkward. I felt like I had just walked into a party to which I was not invited. I couldn't really tell the difference between regulars/baristas/management but they were all crowded around the register and my mom & brothers had to maneuver our way through the group. Whatever, maybe I was just being weird feeling unwelcome. As we perused the very cool old building and thoughtfully curated collection, I couldn't really pay attention to my book search because the women by the register were pretty loudly discussing one person's recent date and the positive attributes of his anatomy. Okay, awkward. I'm standing here with my younger brothers and my mom. I'm not trying to be a nark here, but can we just have a liiiiittle social awareness? I still wanted to support this local business, and I bought a book, because I'll reiterate -- it is awesome. The dog is cute, the view of the bridge is inspiring, it all feels like You've Got Mail. But look, I felt like the staff wanted my family to leave. It seems I am unique in this feeling, but I just hope this doesn't happen agin. read more
