This 90 themes bar was in the back of Cosmic Gorilla. The drinks were themed according to the 90s and the whole place was decked out. It truly took me back to the golden area. Bar tender was nice, there were games around to play and over l a chill spot to have a drink. They change the theme every month. read more

5/5! Our favorite date night! If you consider your self a nerd too this place is heaven. It comic book store in the front that include all kinds of comics, action figures, and board games for sale. Lots of marvel content, stranger things and Star Wars. Then you walk to the back and find...A BAR...WITH GAMES! Such fun themed drinks, board games for free (that you just put your card on hold for then get it back), and a switch all for your entertainment. This is such a fun date night or night with friends. A cute little theme bar attached to a comic book and games store. I have visited a couple times and it is nice for a quick stop off if you are visiting Findlay Market or some of the other interesting bars and restaurants in this part of OTR. It's fun to browse through the comics and games, but I haven't had much use for this part of the outfit. My interest lies more in the bar side. I always enjoy seeing what fun theme they've cooked up and the associated cocktails. The first couple times I visited they seemed to center around comic action heroes that you might find in the DC or Marvel Universe. Most recently I enjoyed their transition to a Magic and Muggles theme, even renaming the bar "Pennifolds" to help augment the story. At Pennifolds you will find a corner dedicated to each Hogwart's House, some foam spitting dragons (mind the splash zone), and if you're lucky enough you may even get to light up the bar with an authentic wand. I truly enjoy the current theme but I can also say that I've heard a rumor of an upcoming Orc, Elf and Halfling type theme coming sometime in middle-earth-to-late winter. I will likely visit again after this changeover. Regardless, their cocktail game is solid and I admire how they seem to have a non-alcoholic or mocktail version of almost every specialty drink. On my most recent visit my date and I purchased 4 drinks and they all so happened to be the mocktail versions, and all very tasty. They always seem to have some version of Butterbeer and something else that bubbles. The bartenders are frequently willing to add a little extra panache to each drink they serve. This brings me to one of my few complaints regarding Cosmic Gorilla - there's not enough bar! Basically, the bar is relegated to one small room that's made even smaller by the ramp (albeit necessary) and the drafty back door that flaps open throughout the cold winter months. Keep your coat close! All-in-all this is more of a comic book and games store with a themed bar crammed into the back room. And lastly, though it's small, you will have to order at the bar, which is more of a mild inconvenience than an actual problem, but you should be aware. Cheers! read more

They do alot for the community and the owner is top notch. My husband decided this is the place for his pull list! A themed bar in the back, currently Star Wars and they do family game night. What a super fun offering from Trevino and Gorilla Cinema. Part bar, part comic book store, the menu has an eclectic drink list that boasts delightful concoctions. I tried the Pym's Particles-refreshing with just a hint of peanut butter-and Agatha All Along. It is a delicious drink of the more fruity variety that arrives bubbling. It is a small bar space that can get crowded quickly, so I advise stopping by early to kick off your night with something quirky. read more

No food at this location. Service here was attentive and engaging. We were there for the galactic bar in back as they had a Star Wars pop up night. It's a comic book seller in the front of the space, go down the hall and enter the Galactic bar , it's tucked away like a speakeasy. They were serving star wars themed cocktails like Blue juice with rum, and others I only had one cocktail so didn't really get a chance to try it out fully. I'd definitely go back. read more
