This restaurant is very clean and well lit. There is even a "Hot Baguette" neon sign in the window Indicating that hot, fresh sandwich rolls are available. I ordered a #7 Pork Meatball and a #11 Special Combination. The #7 Pork Meatball was a bit disappointing as the actual meat was somewhat mushy in texture, very bland, and devoid of much flavor. However, the pickled vegetables and cilantro were ample which was a plus. However, the #11 Special Combination was very good. It seems this sandwich has been very consistent in taste and quality. The bread to meat to vegetable ratios were perfect. The freshly made baguette was light textured on the inside and crispy on the outside. I still think this is their best tasting sandwich. We visited Lees Sandwiches in Rancho Cucamonga for the first time because my husband was craving a sandwich, and I had memories of Lees from OC. The vibe was different, but the bigger issue was the service and the food. The wait was brutal...about 45 minute before anyone even looked for our order. The only reason why they looked is because my husband let them know they were calling 10 more customers that came in after us. There was zero apology. The best we got was "the ticket wasn't here, we'll get on it," with no real sense of accountability. When my husband asked about a refund, they rushed to "make it right" instead of addressing the delay, and there was no sincere apology or acknowledgment of the hassle. My turkey sandwich felt like there wasn't enough meat like 1 and a half slices paired with three large slices of cheese, all flavorless. It seemed the focus was on the baguette rather than what was inside, and the result tasted like cafeteria or pre-packaged food you get at the hospital or quickie market. I pulled off the cheese to cut fat/calories because it just wasn't worth it...but even then the sandwich was just not worth the time or the price. Lee's sandwiches are always so refreshing and I feel the portions are a good size. Pricing is a little up there but quality is good. It's been quite some time since I've visited a Lee Sandwich chain and I really wanted to like it, but overall, sandwich is overpriced. Ice coffee wasn't strong and was more on the sweeter side. Would not be ordering either one of those items again. It's a nice clean shop though with seating. I may come back and try something other than a sandwich. Service during their re-grand opening appeared a bit chaotic. I was charged for a sandwich that I did not order, which was quickly corrected when I brought it to their attention, and I was refunded the cost back to me. The ladies are nice, but they are either understaffed unprepared for rush hours. Lunch time is always a long wait. But today was worse. I ordered one regular ice coffee. Took them more than 40 minutes. 3/4's of an hour is insane for a coffee. To be honest i think they made it and someone else took it at the 30 minutes mark. But this is why i think they aren't prepared for rush hours. They can't keep track of who ordered what and yell out numbers ordered but i never got a number to begin with. They just look like a mess. I checked twice to see if it was almost ready because my family had ordered before us, and everyone who ordered after us had already received their food. Even dine-in customers had finished their meals while we were still waiting. At that point, I asked for a refund. When I returned to the counter, I was told, "You didn't say you had already gotten the coffees before the refund." I had no issue returning them, but the only reason I had those drinks was because they were mistakenly given to the order ahead of me which happened to be my family member. Good news for them, they are the only banh mi nearby in the IE. I remember sometime last year on either Thursday or Friday, they turned into a ghost kitchen. Hey, there is a couple things wrong with Lee sandwiches the first thing that is wrong is that they close way too early? Why would they close at 7 PM every day? How can you expand and exceed the most hours of your business by closing early most time if you work at night, you can't even get in the doors cause they're closed. The second issue is that they're overpriced and they only give you a mini baby packet of mustard and the sandwiches are crunchy instead of soft this company can definitely improve. read more

An update on my review. I wrote a review earlier about inconsistent serving size. The business manager replied and asked me to reach out to him to "make it right". I did just that and never got a response after waiting a week. In my opinion, if you are going to ask a customer to contact you so that you can try to correct an issue, I suggest you follow through and at least respond. In my opinion, they replied publicly to make it look like they did corrective action but it was probably all for show. It's a shame, I actually like their coffee. read more

Been to many Lee's sandwiches especially in the Bay Area. Staff here were kind and friendly but the food quality wasn't the same as the locations in the bay. The coffee was watered down and the sandwiches lacked an equal distribution of meat. I am still satisfied with the meal but different than the locations i've been to prior.
