A big plus for me is that they open early when I need emergency Banh mi at 8 am. No other surrounding Banh mi places open as early as them. Even though it's a chain, you can see they make their bread in house and the spring rolls are fresh. I love nem nuong and can't pass up an opportunity to eat them, especially with that savory peanut sauce. They offer plenty of other food too, but I can only speak to the dishes I tried, in lauding the pate Chau. Flaky crust and the inside is what you'd expect it to be. Still wrapping my head around the price point though. Why is everything in Bay Area so expensive?

This is a review for only the Vietnamese iced coffee and pate chaud. When we see less sandwich, we always grab the Vietnamese ice coffee. It's strong, sweet delicious. It has a caramel flavor. I was just planning to just get the Vietnamese iced coffee, but I noticed that the pate chaud just came out and it was piping hot. The place seems small compared to other Lees sandwiches I've been to. I came around the time they opened up, so there weren't many prepared food. I was hoping they had the egg and spatula that I saw in previous reviews. Will I come again? Definitely.

Its amazing how can I describe it idk first of all bread is crispy and however its not dry, Its fantastic! How can almond and tuna taste so good together?

Service is good, courteous and they will cook you the hot items even it's an hour before closing, and we ordered beef stew with bread. The stew is flavorful though it's more like a soup than a stew. I like the menu and how many different kinds of Vietnamese food they offer! From small snacks to entree to desserts! Lunch time is much busier than dinner and I see Vietnamese customers. They also sell pre-packaged snacks and instant noodles in the store, kinda like a convenience store. Some of the spicy instant noodle brands they carry are interesting. There are pre-packaged food on the counter next to the cashier and we grabbed a few things to try. The sausage sticky rice is a bit dry, the bbq pork, chicken with egg on rice is ok but too much rice. The spring rolls combo are the best as there are three different varieties, shrimp, sausage and tofu skin in 3 separate rolls. The one with tofu skin is surprisingly good and it's our first time trying it! Cheap eat for sure and not many Lee's have indoor seating areas so comfortable. This one actually has a few tables that can even accommodate a few families.

Overall, 3.5 stars from me. I've gotten their "mini" grilled chicken combo (chips and a drink) and it was very filling for it being a mini. Bread is made in house (so many reviewers say) and it was definitely one of the best baguettes I've had for a banh mi sandwich! Now the filling is what brings my rating down ... between the pickled veggies and the meat, they were very dry and not flavorful. I was hoping for them to be a little more juicy but I was let down. They also were heavier on the cilantro than anything else and overall the filling was just sort of plopped into the bread. Fast service which explains the serving but that also is a good thing if you're coming for a quick bite. I also have tried their spring rolls, mixed meat (pork + shrimp) and was also not too impressed with them. Pork was bland but they did fill the roll pretty well so 2 was enough for me. Location has plenty of seating, very spacious. Business offers a lot of food options from their sandwiches to egg/spring rolls and more. They have little bento boxes to go and also have grocery items for purchase. Very convenient if in the area looking for a quick bite.

Walked here from my hotel a few weeks ago hungover because I figured a coffee and sandwich would help. Everyone else was still out cold and I wasn't about to lay in bed all morning. It was sunny and miserable but not too far. Got the banh mi dac biet and a cafe sua da. Sandwich sliced up the roof of my mouth because I don't know how to chew my food, I think I also bit the inside of my cheek. It was good though, ate the whole thing and basically hit my calorie goal for the day before noon. Coffee was also bomb. Would come back if I was in the area and had to walk, otherwise I'd probably eat something else cuz I don't normally get banh mi anyways.

    Weird BBQ bland Pork..

I usually frequent Lee's for their sandwiches...I was feeling adventurous today and decided to try their special vermicelli bowl. I should have stuck to their banh mi's. The BBQ Pork Bun (vermicelli bowl) was a huge miss for me. The BBQ pork was bland. The fish sauce was bland. The texture and the BBQ pork was weird. It was a waste of $11.99 and wasn't even worth $1.99.

Sandwich lacked flavor. Tried to not waste it but left disgusted after seeing a giant cockroach under the table next to me.

1484 Halford Ave Santa Clara, CA 95051…read more This was my first visit to Baker's Village in Santa Clara. It was a warm day, and I was drawn to this bakery by their fruit smoothies. It was near 5pm. I walked in and the place was empty. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me. I asked for a strawberry smoothie, then walked around to survey all the baked goods. It's a small bakery with lots of trays of individually packaged cakes and pastries. The smell was very pleasant and comforting. Using a flat basket (or tray) I grabbed a few selections. I picked 2 "Heart Pies" that resembled my favorite French Butterfly Cookies. Also 2 pound cakes. The total rang up to just over $21. There's some small tables for enjoying your purchases there, but I took my items to go. The icy cold fruit smoothie was very good and very cold! Not too sweet, it had a natural strawberry taste. The Heart Pies were good and fresh. But the Pound Cakes were probably "day old." I noticed there's no dates or "best by" tags on the packages. It's a nice place to visit, and I will return again. Free parking in plaza lot.

Wisely, I checked Yelp reviews first because some deals can be too good to be true. It's hidden gem off El Camino and near Lawrence Expressway where those that know good Korean baking have this spot on their short list of preferred places. I arrived a few minutes before my scheduled pick up time and Korean grandma behind the counter was super pro, teaching me how to confirm check in and gave me a mixed bag of baked goods with/without fillings. If you like surprises, are omnivore & no special diets or food allergies, Too Good To Go is the way to explore. The items were in generic packaging without labels, so take a pic of the items you like so can order when visit next time. While my family enjoyed all the items, I really enjoyed the black sesame studded puffy rolls that I think were made with rice flour. There was a large group of older Asian ladies, including one who brought their lap dog, enjoying good conversations in their native language with their baked goods and tea or coffee. Another gentleman was taking a video call to help decide the best cake to buy. Will add this bake shop for a place to have a coffee meeting and to favorite in Too Good To Go.

The interior is modern and really cute, and they even have a dog check-in photo wall which was so so cute ! We got the snowy Jasmine with boba. Drinks themselves were light, fragrant, and refreshing. Even at 100% sweetness, they actually weren't too sweet, I would even argue getting 125% to match other boba places 100% sweetness. The boba had a really good flavor and sweetness to it that balanced everything out perfectly. Overall a great spot to grab a drink. Next time I want to try their Pistachio Matcha Coconut water so I will be coming back!

I even got a pic of the seating without anyone in my photo. SCORE! I would highly recommend a day other than the weekend. I would give this place a 3.5 if I could. I just ordered a drink for myself and for my brother. In and out in maybe 10minutes? There's a kiosk to order and a spot to pick up your drink-- very efficient. I got the basic jasmine milk tea because I love jasmine tea and knew that if any place were to make the best jasmine milk teas, it would be this place. Molly is Chinese for jasmine anywayyyyyy (shout out to my coworker for telling me this!). I did not try my brother's tea so I cannot comment on it. I liked my jasmine tea, I can tell it was higher quality than other places I've had jasmine tea, but is it worth the hype? I don't think so. It's good, don't get me wrong, but wait-in-a-3-hour-line good? nothing is. I think I've also become desensitized to the high tea prices that $7-8 is somehow normal? When it shouldn't be! My only frame of reference nowadays is seeing how much tea cost in Asia. And in Taiwan (the birthplace of boba) I got boba for $3 ;( *sigh oh well I live in one of the most expensive places in the country but also I cannot believe I let myself think this is okay. Anyway, it's a treat, not a habit I would give into everyday.

Don't sleep on the black pepper sausage danish: the croissant dough is crisp and flaky, and doesn't get soggy when baked around the sausage. It's comparable in execution to the Croissant Hot Dog served at Dominique Ansel Las Vegas (in Caesar's Palace), but at a way more accessible price point. Which isn't to say this place is cheap; like many artisanal bakeries in California, it comes with a premium price tag, but at least it's not Dominique Ansel pricy. Croissante's croissant dough baked goods (viennoiserie) is pun-intended "proof" that you get what you pay for. The dining space is limited and lively. Conversing is a little tough, but if you just need a place to sit while eating, it's just right. Extra special shout out this time to Dill who had informed me the fried chicken dishes today would be an hour and a half wait. After deciding there wasn't anything I wanted more than the Fried Chicken and Spiced Croffle (croissant dough baked in a waffle iron) and was happy to wait, they were nice enough to check in with the kitchen and see if it could be made sooner than that. I didn't expect to be accommodated, so I was happy they were able to do that. You get two chicken thighs and croffles per order. It's enough for two light eaters to share.
