I was very impressed with the detail of his explanations and patience. The garden center employee explained differences, growing patterns, flowering, which plants kept green all year and much more. He took his time. I never felt rushed. He answered all my concerns. At the end, I asked if they would be able to take out my old bushes and install the new ones. I received a very fair estimate and hired them. The gardeners came today and did an amazing job. They removed all the overgrown bushes, planted my new bushes and mulched. The sidewalk got a little mud on it and they even hosed it off so it was clean. Excellent service. Very competitive pricing. I highly recommend them. I also found out if they do the plantings it is a lifetime warranty on the plants unlike other places who have only a one year plant warranty.

When I called today they said they were charging this because of high diesel full charges and would come off when diesel fuel prices came down. I mentioned I had NEVER seen a credit on my meadows farm reciept when the cost was real low.. But just so everyone knows they will be getting a .50 up charge. And it's my fault I didn't read the signs.... But on another note, the people there are very friendly, helpful and pleasant..

They have…read moreGORGEOUS plants and the price is right - $10 for a quart and $15 for a gallon size plant, which is an amazing value for native species. Planting in the fall is the right time, so you want to shop now - they are open through the end of October. The staff is incredibly helpful as well - they will help you pick plants that will thrive based on your soil and sun/shade conditions. Need a workhorse for your flower bed? We moved into a house last summer and first on my list was handling the yard. The backyard had a…read morelot of bamboo, and throughout the first summer and fall it spread significantly. We attempted to remove some ourselves but were quickly overwhelmed by the task. I researched native plant landscapers and came across Swamp Rose Co-op. After reaching out, Jeff, one of the owners, came to do a site visit. He was thorough in his presentation of plans and this February we had them come and do bamboo removal and plant some native trees and shrubs to act as a privacy screen. The Swamp Rose team was amazing! They pulled out over 2 tons of bamboo and roots! They planted native trees and shrubs which are thriving. Our backyard woodland meadow dreams are coming true. We have the team coming back in a few weeks to rip out the standard plants seen in the Silver Spring area (liriope, lilies, weeds) to replace with a native garden and we can't wait. One of my favorite aspects of this company is it is a co-op. The employees can be owners, and those who aren't are still paid a living wage as calculated by the MIT living wage calculator. They do excellent work! It is hard to find a native landscaper but this team is fantastic.

Gil and Brooke Run Trees are fantastic! If you are looking for large trees (3.5" caliper, over 20…read morefeet in height), Gil has a wonderful stock at wholesale prices. I've been working on a multi-year project to reforest about an acre of my property, replacing all the turf grass with native trees, shrubs, and perennials. I have purchased about 40 trees from Gil and BRT over the last few years - Maples, Oaks, White Spruce, Hawthornes, Dogwoods, Redbuds, Silverbells, Birch, Serviceberries, and Sweetgums. These trees are larger than anything you can get at most nurseries and only a fraction of the cost. His awesome crew will come deliver and install these giant trees with machines (if the site is accessible) or manually if needed (his crew lugged a few trees through a deep wooded area to access a planting site). Gil has also been a tremendous resource for any concerns I've had about the trees. He is a trained arborist and has a wealth of knowledge. He gets back to me very quickly anytime I have a question about any of my trees or when I'm looking for tips on how to address any of a variety of issues. He even stops by from time to time to see how everything is doing. One new tree was uprooted by a heavy wind storm and he was there to fix it that week! Only one dogwood didn't survive the transplant the first year and he replaced it the next year for no cost. Now, two years into starting my project, my forest is really coming to fruition - I never would've been able to do this without Gil and Brooke Run Trees!

Once inside, I was able to find the aisle I needed to be in - each aisle had a sign showing some of the items within that aisle. Once I viewed the locks they had, which were many choices, I finally settled on one and went to pay at the register. There was a customer already in line, but since I only had 1 item, they allowed me to purchase my item ahead of their purchase. So nice. After getting the item, I noticed the package might be a bit difficult to open and asked the employee if there was something to use to open it and without hesitation, they opened it for me, which I certainly appreciated. Overall, I got what I needed and great service was provided.

When I applied the paint to the wall, instead of being China White, a standard color, it showed up as being very yellow. I went back to the store and was told that because they had to mix the base to create the standard correct color, they would have to charge me again. Bottom line, I went to another Benjamin Moore paint shop and they mixed the paint perfectly. Poorly maintained or dirty equipment might have been the cause. Howard
