I really appreciated that Mr Garcia worked with me to arrange a date over text message. It was really simple to send pictures, have him come out to take a look and get a quote. This clean-up made it so much easier for us to finish up our backyard plans and I really appreciate the ease and speed at which Mr. Garcia was able to help us out!

Based on the recommendation of my neighbor, I called Red Maple to get an estimate for this year. We have a big yard. Mr. Rivas provided an estimate that was a bit lower than we had been paying, but he seemed to know what he was talking about. So we decided to use Red Maple to do our lawn (Aeration, mulch, hedges, of course, grass), and everything else. The first time his crew came out; to pick up, clean up, edge and get the yard ready for mulching, they spent literally 7-8 hours. The Red Maple crew busted their butts to make sure the yard looked GOOD, and it was ready for the mulching crew. The mulch guys showed up the next day, and again...4-5 guys working ALL day, and they really did the job well. The other company, last year used a mulch blower, and put down what I'd call a light dusting of mulch, making the areas look good, but within a couple weeks, the mulch was gone. This year, the Red Maple guys put down literally inches of mulch. But before they did, they raked up the sticks and leaves that had collected since the day they cleaned - and that made it look even better. I watched some of the work they were doing, and they all seemed to take a lot of care in doing the work properly. We have had this yard mulched many times over the last few years, and we can honestly say that this year, it looks way better than ever before. From my current experience, I can say that Red Maple was a great choice.

We also had him do some power washing of concrete areas and a window well, and in the words of my husband these came out "hilariously clean". They completely misled us on the scope of work for the back and planted the front in late fall, just as the weather turned cold. And the cost was astronomical! So, we decided to bring them back this year when our front walkway was quite literally falling apart. Pros: they do good work. Cons: the crew will pee on your property. Not in a bathroom. Outside. And then they will lie about it. To add more context- the crew was working on my FRONT walkway. They made it a point to let themselves in my BACK yard through the gate, walk to the corner of my yard where my shed is, move a gate that was blocking a space next to the shed, and peed there. Several of them did it the second they began the job. The owner doesn't care and will turn it around to make you look like the problem. So, if you're cool with that, then go ahead and move forward with them. However, know that you'll be paying a premium price for a company and project crew that couldn't care less about disrespecting you or your property. Just an honest review. It's unfortunate, but if that's how Jeff wants to run the business, then that's his problem.

This might be my first ever Yelp review, but I felt there were a few aspects of my experience with…read morethe Larin company that led me to speak up. 1. Scope of Work: I found the company's business card in my mailbox or under my doormat and wanted to support a local small business. I was in need of landscaping for our new home, including mulching, trimming, and weeding. 2. Issue Arises: Roughly two weeks after Mr. Larin and his team finish the job, we noticed that the varieties of mint that we planted in our garden had been (incorrectly) removed. Rather than take ownership and apologize, Mr. Larin's wife accused me of lying about the mint - only to later ask why I didn't alert them to the mint (that I apparently never had in the first place!). Doh. 3. One Month Review: I was prepared to take this one on the chin and never use the company again. But one month later the job, a massive infestation of weeds returned (which essentially sent us back to square one). Yesterday, another contractor giving us a quote for another project made an offhand comment that we needed weeding done (of course we do!). But he was surprised to hear that we paid over $2k for this work the month prior. He believes the team either did not hand pull the weeds from the root or did not lay down a herbicide etc. to prevent regrowth, but explained that both steps were "a no-brainer." Conclusion: I'm hoping this unfortunate saga (including dozens of texts and money wasted) can help someone out there! Consider finding a landscaper who stands by their work, puts their clients first, and goes the extra mile not to earn a quick buck but rather earn a client for life!
