This small business definitely deserves your attention! we contracted them to install a large, raised-bed garden with stone pathway and arbor over the entrance. We also had them install a special underground fence to keep out the resident groundhog and tall fencing to keep out the deer. They were very responsive to all of our detail-oriented questions. Heard a lot of good things about this company but was very disappointed. I paid for a "consultation" to design a flower garden for my balcony and was ready to give them carte blanche. But Love & Carrots told me AFTER accepting the consultation that they did not want to maintain a balcony garden because it was for flowers, not vegetables. Love & Carrots charged me several hundred dollars for a "design consultation" that included a layout of Veradek planters that would have leaked on my neighbor's balcony below. The planters they chose don't even come with trays. For me, this was a disappointing waste of money and time. read more

We have been so impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the entire Love & Carrots organization from the very first consultation to the final build. They incorporated our request into their proven design. Moreover, Love & Carrots addressed some key features into the design elements such as incorporating an irrigation system into the vegetable beds and fencing to both address alpha deers and tunneling critters. The crew and workmanship is superb. My old garden and fencing was carefully removed and the sod for the new footprint was salvaged with a special machine. All the posts, lumber, and gate hardware was of highest quality. Cedar was used boxes and perimeter edging boards. Everything was squared and leveled. Meticulous workmanship. I could easily build a barn over the structure Solid carpentry work. I highly recommend Love & Carrots. Love & Carrots not only delivered on all counts, but they far exceeded our hopes and expectations. We were impressed with them from the first visit when Meredith came for a site visit and was immediately able to determine the best location for the garden, as well as how to manage soil pH conditions.There are a lot of moving parts after the initial assessment, and the office staff was always enthusiastic, professional and responsive. There was a lot of back-and-forth to help us figure out what would work best for us, and they never tired of researching alternatives for us to consider and offering helpful advice. For installation, the plant beds were expertly built, and the team measured everything carefully, using levels and taking extreme care to make everything perfect, including the installation of the dual-channel irrigation system. The extra effort shows. Because we live in a neighborhood with old-growth trees, we have a limited area where there is enough sun for the garden. That spot happens to be in our front yard, so we cared a great deal about how the garden would look. We were so excited to see the result, and are very proud of our garden! We have more kinds of vegetables than I have had in the past, so I opted to have coaching this season. I LOVE Love & Carrots. I had been wanting to put an organic garden in my backyard for some time.
