We attempted to remove some ourselves but were quickly overwhelmed by the task. I researched native plant landscapers and came across Swamp Rose Co-op. After reaching out, Jeff, one of the owners, came to do a site visit. He was thorough in his presentation of plans and this February we had them come and do bamboo removal and plant some native trees and shrubs to act as a privacy screen. The Swamp Rose team was amazing! They pulled out over 2 tons of bamboo and roots! They planted native trees and shrubs which are thriving. Our backyard woodland meadow dreams are coming true. We have the team coming back in a few weeks to rip out the standard plants seen in the Silver Spring area (liriope, lilies, weeds) to replace with a native garden and we can't wait. One of my favorite aspects of this company is it is a co-op. The employees can be owners, and those who aren't are still paid a living wage as calculated by the MIT living wage calculator. They do excellent work! It is hard to find a native landscaper but this team is fantastic.

Wanted to keep it local and go w Beiler's, but their customer service has become horrible. Had three unreturned voicemails, dragged my toddler and newborn in the freezing cold last Saturday (only day they're open) to meet w them since they don't return calls, and set up a site visit so they could assess our property. This site visit was supposed to be today between 11-1, and at 12:45 pm, still no call ahead to say they're in the way. The guy who answered the phone at their other location said "Oh that happens all the time" regarding the late or missed appointment. Asked him to call me back when he got in touch w his driver, whom he was apparently unable to reach at that time as well. Still no call back and no nobody is picking up the phones over there (during business hours) and now the vm box is full. I'm sick of practically begging these guys to take our money (and in the middle of a terrible economy due to Covid, no less). Clearly they don't need or want our business, so now we are looking to take our money elsewhere. I understand they likely cut staff due to Covid economics, but clearly too many were cut bc they can't handle the customers.

We had a minor mix up with the installation date, but Mr. Clark assisted us in getting the issue resolved. Overall, the shed looks great and matched the colors we picked out. The onsight crew were very polite and worked quickly to complete the installation.
