They sell Fruitz Vegetables , Mulch , Top Soil bags plus they used to sell Organc Apple Cuderz during summertimes which I was disappointed they discontinued that . i loved getting apple cider there at one time or another . This has been a while snce I have been there since the pandemic. This was my return back after 6 years . I turned in my resume to try to get a job there I love customer service and being a string hand there . Plus building customer relations there to make customers feel welcomed, At Home , And Make Them Feel Like Family There again . I like to build bridges to all walks of life that come in there . What happened during the Covid Pandemic it was unlawful inexcusable unprofessional Reprehensible, Disrespectful, Unjustifiable, And down right wrong. The behaviors we Americans were all at fault fir the bad behaviors of the past. We have a chance once agajn to show we are the better men . This is our time to prove it . That why this place nedds iyr patronage once again to come together as a community to build business for them again . I have ideas to add for business there for people's gardens , Sell Bird Feeders , Bags of Bird Seed and bird houses to put in people gardens back at home tgat might increase sales 70% . They have the best family staff you could ever come to know. The father who owns this place he is a honorable man that has generations of family that help there . We attempted to remove some ourselves but were quickly overwhelmed by the task. I researched native plant landscapers and came across Swamp Rose Co-op. After reaching out, Jeff, one of the owners, came to do a site visit. He was thorough in his presentation of plans and this February we had them come and do bamboo removal and plant some native trees and shrubs to act as a privacy screen. The Swamp Rose team was amazing! They pulled out over 2 tons of bamboo and roots! They planted native trees and shrubs which are thriving. Our backyard woodland meadow dreams are coming true. We have the team coming back in a few weeks to rip out the standard plants seen in the Silver Spring area (liriope, lilies, weeds) to replace with a native garden and we can't wait. One of my favorite aspects of this company is it is a co-op. The employees can be owners, and those who aren't are still paid a living wage as calculated by the MIT living wage calculator. They do excellent work! It is hard to find a native landscaper but this team is fantastic.

The downside is that this place is quite pricey, but that comes with the rarity of some plants. Other plants you could get cheaper elsewhere. So, I would research which plants are common in big box stores and then which plants are only in specialized stores like this one and then determine whether the higher price tag is worth it. Everyone is nice and knowledgeable so if you're also new, it's great to strike up a conversation and learn how to take care of the particular plant. When I asked for help locating the tree, I was pointed to the other side of the nursery, but no thought to if I might either need help locating the trees or help lifting the container.
