Pretty decent chicken here. A nice crunch not too much batter. The side choices are very limited but for a chicken place you don't need much. The place stayed packed for lunch and lines were long at the drive-through. To compare it to Popeyes would be that this felt a little more down home. read more

Easy order, the employee was very nice. Food was great, the wedges are so good. Sweet tea was perfect. I missed these from Ohio so I had to stop when I saw one, happy I did. read more

Local chicken strip place in Ocala, but it's actually a chain throughout the states. Went through drive-thru and ordered a 3-piece chicken strip combo with a chicken sandwich combo. The size of the chicken patty and strips are huge! The batter is light in flavor but the chicken was juicy. The sides are okay, nothing too special about it. Price is affordable too. read more

I love there food don't get me wrong. The food I give 10/10 . But the service there is bad they forget about what you tell them. Example me and my dad order from there we just order yesterday Friday, 25,2025 it was post be mash potatoes as side and string beans that one place was correct then they forgot to add biscuits until my dad said something. He complained to them before try to tell them in advance from making the same mistake they still do . The second plate they had mash potatoes and forgot string beans for the second plate even though he told them that twice . What we had 2 plate of the same thing which was 2 steaks 2 scoops of mash potatoes and 2 string beans comes with biscuits. What they gave us : 1 order : 1 streak , 2 mash potatoes and gravy , 1 biscuit no string 2 order : 1 steak , 2 mash potato and gravy, 1 biscuits, 1 string beans. Place set up : clean not to bad at all they have good food. Hope they get their service right . read more

This is start of Cheap and Hungry (My Personal Food experience living in Orlando, FL.). My name is Chris D. I love food and love money more. My grammar is not the focus the food is I hated English but had the best teacher. So believe I can distinguish the importante parts of things. Lee's Famous came recommend today via the Algo in Ocala, FL. I walked in to and older style dining room with grinning famous and someone ready to take my order. I came mildly prepared to get some fried chicken and sides. Went for 3 pie cause we're big backed over here and went for some staple sides. Biscuit was downright bussin easy. Fries had potential just need more crispness and Mac was run of the mill. Now the chicken.... Enjoyable yes however, it needs more heat and by heat I mean it was undercooked for my liking. Crisp was there but I want my chicken long gone and no potentially of coming back. Would 100% come back again tho. Customer service / neighborhood presence is high level with them serving food really quick and also heard some very kind and caring conversations taking place. My total was $10.5... something, I thought pretty reasonable for 3 piece chicken, 2 sides, biscuit and regular size fountain drink. read more

Restaurant was very clean and neatly organized. Cashier was very friendly and attentive, asking the right questions, and had genuine interest in satisfaction. The Famous Chicken Sandwich (#1) tasted amazing. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The potatoes wedges were absolutely amazing. All under $10, to top it all off. I'd never eat a chicken sandwich anywhere else. Thanks for the great lunch! read more

My wife and I stopped in for a quick lunch last weekend and it was very nice. The staff was really friendly plus the food was good. The chicken was very good and the sides were good too. My only problem was the cost of the meals but every restaurant is I believe very high in price. I would go back again when I have a craving of chicken and or close by. read more

It's so wonderful to have a nice, old-fashioned fried chicken place in our little hometown of Ocala. With two locations, you're never far from comfort food goodness. I joined their rewards club and received an email that I had my whole birthday month to claim a free two piece meal. There was no other additional purchase required! I just drove up, ordered the meal with two sides and a biscuit, presented my email, and was handed the most delicious dinner with $0 out of pocket. Service like this is rare, the person handling the order was so pleasant! You always know what you're getting at Lee's and it's nice to have that constant in this ever-changing world! read more

The family meal was fantastic. The quality of service was very professional and will order again.

I actually loved the food, the cashier and did I say I loved the food. Only ONLY PROBLEM was this outburst of some dude which caused me an anxiety attack and I said to my husband "Get me the hell out of here." This was our first visit to this restaurant and after enjoying the delicious food I'm sorry but I can not return this restaurant. The food is amazing. I so love that Mac and buffalo chicken bowl but I'm never coming back to this restaurant again. read more

Lee's has been a classic in my family for generations! My siblings grew up eating Lee's Famous Chicken in Kentucky, so when I found out it was 34miles away friend my Florida home I had to try it. My family ordered the family meal with a mix of famous chicken, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy with extra biscuits. The service was great and the drive thru moved by quickly. We also had to go inside the dining area to get something extra and the cashier inside was also pleasant. The area was clean and the food was made fresh. Once we got home to Gainesville, the food still was fresh. The gravy and mashed potatoes was flavorful, and we were served a blessed portion of mac n cheese. No need to do a review on the chicken but to say it was over all amazing. If you haven't been to Lee's give it a try. We like them better than KFC, and we are originally from Kentucky lol ;) Sorry no pics of the food, just know we tore it up lol Maybe next time. read more

Driving home from St. Augustine, we took the route through Silver Springs home. My love said he was hungry, so we opted to stop at Lee's for lunch. While the staff wore masks, some of the time, it was not truly enforced. I noticed this a lot in this area. The Owner(?) was picking up trash outside by hand and obviously takes pride in the way his place looks. The food was ... INCREDIBLE! I got the two breast strip combo with one side the green beans. My love got the 3 strips and two sides, green beans and mashed potatoes. The strips we both got were HUGE and juicy, the breading was light and crispy with wonderful flavor. The beans and potatoes were fairly tasty. We would most certainly eat here again. read more

Your average run of the mill fast food chicken. Grabbed some chicken strips from here along with some mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The price was good and the Mac and cheese was above average in comparison to KFC, Popeyes, etc. But the mashed potatoes were unfortunately pretty plain and the chicken strips reminded me of something I microwaved for a snack as a kid. While it was filling, I had hoped for better flavors and quality. The folks as always were pretty nice so I have no complaints there. Clean establishment. read more

The Silver Springs Blvd location is my favorite Lee's location! They have the friendliest staff and they're fast! I dined in and told Kiara, who took my order, that after I was done I would be placing an order to go. I sat at the table for a while because my family member who needed the to-go order was running late. Even after I had been there an hour Kiara remembered my name and came to ask me if I was ready to place my to go order! They take the extra time to make sure you are happy with your order as well! Their chicken is better than any fast food or restaurant in Ocala!! They have a drive thru and dine in both. If you haven't tried it get over there now!! read more

The best chicken in Marion County. The only place you can get livers and they are fantastic. The workers are also exceptional.

Excellent fried chicken! It's a very popular spot and the drive thru has a pretty long line around dinner time.

I love my Slow Lees on 40. Definitely miss the fast one on 200 and 27th, but this one does. I will say though, I wasn't impressed tonight. I eat here all the time. Literally, a portion of my paycheck comes to this establishment. I was in here the other day and a younger black female came in, waited patiently. She said she was a new door dash driver and hadn't been sent her bag that they require here. They refused to give her the order. She pleaded and pleaded saying she was trying to earn money and they refused. Tonight, I watched not one, but two! Two drivers come into the establishment without a bag. The young lady at the register said your supposed to have a bag stating she would get the manager. He gave the food to both of them. Why didn't the other young lady get the same opportunity they did? That put a sour taste in my mouth tonight... read more

Obviously, the owner/management don't realize the amount of business they are losing every day because of extremely slow drive through service that many times don't provide even good service. When cars are lined up around the building to the street where another car can not get in, therefore necessitating the need to drive to another restaurant. This is so sad as their chicken is by far the best in town! read more

Best Food ! Everything tastes good . Customer service is amazing and food quality is great

Service is average. The atmosphere is like a fast food restaurant. The food is hit or miss. More miss than hit. The sides are always good, but the chicken is sketchy. What I mean by this is. Most of the time when we eat (a family of 4). The chicken is old and dried up. Sometimes they might put a couple of fresh pieces in , but most of the time it's old and dried up. I just can't understand how the drive through can be packed and inside full and still get old dried up chicken. It baffles me. I have maybe 3 times in 2 years gotten fresh chicken, and it is so delicious. The best anywhere. I guess that's why I keep going back. To hopefully get some of that lottery chicken. read more
