I had Sonny he Gave me time and space to pick out my color (I picked out the wrong color at first) I got acrylic fills gel polish on hands and regular polish on toes($60). Sonny was fast and amazing. He did such a great job and asked to assure me of the service because to be honest... I don't speak up when I'm uncomfortable and unhappy. I'm a Miami native, moved up here and had no clue where to start when looking for a new nail place. I came across MK nails through instagrams tags pages, booked an appointment and I'm happy to share from my very first experience (last august) up until today there has been no need to look elsewhere or "shop around" for a new nail spot in ORL. Kelly and her team are all so welcoming and very talented. I usually get my nails done with Kelly (owner of MK) and the service she provides is top of the line! The girl is talented! On top of that she is Uber patient and gives you her undivided attention. I always come in with Inspo pictures and whenever I'm indecisive she is always willing to help me figure it out and has never made me feel like a difficult person. Aside from her work ethic she has created a space where you can unwind, laugh, get pampered and feel at ease. Her work is ridiculously good! I will say she gets booked pretty quick so your best bet is to make an appointment with her. As I mentioned earlier her team (all of them are very talented) I've done solids and designs with them as well and they DELIVER every single time. When it comes to pricing they are very forward and honest. You will never get up charged out of Nowhere at least I haven't. I've always asked up front what something like this would cost (design) and they have always been honest. I think it's just as much on the client as it is on the person providing a service to communicate expectations and pricing. This team has provides that.

I had come here in September to get nails on my birthday. They were beautiful blue french tips and came out great. Roughly 3 weeks later I had gone for a fill to get nails for Halloween and this was the worst experience I had ever had. I was there for over 3 hours for a fill in on a simple set. I had told one of the ladies I wanted just a black french and she said she could do some spider webs so I caved and said sure. Big mistake. One lady filed my nails and a different lady came over to start my fill. She sliced my fingers in numerous spots so bad and my middle finger on my left hand was cut so bad it was dripping blood. This lady instantly put alcohol on it and didn't say a thing. It burned so bad and I just sat there in pain. Looking back I wish I had said something about that because it wasn't right and my finger was in such bad pain. I had multiple smaller cuts on my other nails but this one was unbelievable. Not to mention, this lady had acrylic stuck under my nails and never took it out. It was my biggest pet peeve because i kept trying to get it out and I couldn't. After that, a completely different lady came over to show the previous lady how to do a french tip, seems like she had no idea and I was proven right. The second lady finished my black french and it looked so messy. The sides of the french were dragged all the way to my cuticles, the lines were not even AT ALL, they were shaky and the fingers on each hand didn't even match. At this point she hadn't even done the spider web and I wanted to just have her finish so I could leave but I gave the benefit of the doubt... I should've just paid and left. She ended up doing Spiderman's face. Which is NOT what I wanted at all as I am not a Spiderman fan. She said spider web not Spiderman's face. She wanted to do his eyes and at that point I told her not to and that I am done. This fill in cost me $75. On a messy, painful and not what I asked for fill in. I got in the car and cried about these nails and the money I had just wasted on something I was not happy with. The amount of pain I endured was not worth it. From a far my nails may have looked nice but up close I hated them. I thought my story would end there but it sadly did not. After this awful experience, I vowed to never return to this salon. I wished and wished these nails would have just fallen off instead of me prying them off. These nails stayed on for 6 WEEKS without budging. I got in contact with a private nail tech to see if she can help me. We ended up trying to soak these nails off and they would not budge in acetone. She was prying them off and nothing. I have no clue what product was used on my nails out they have caused permanent damage to my fingers. This nail tech said it feels as though super glue was used, and I believe that wasn't the case but super glue on my nails sounds scary. My nail tech refused to put a new set on as I have a "greenie" forming on one of my nails from this past set. She scrubbed and scrubbed to take these nails off and nails were so damaged I will never be able to get over it. My nails have permanent indents in them that I can only hope go away with growth and time. And I cannot get a new set of nails for maybe a month now as my nails are so thin and weary. I don't know what Amy's Nail Spa did to my nails but I now have to deal with all that damage on my own. Therefore, if you are looking for something that doesn't harm your nails in the moment and long-term, go to a private nail tech. The ladies that I dealt with on that day in October were aggressive with my fingers, did not care about anything, and are not knowledgeable enough to do nails. The photos I have included show my fill-in set the day I had gotten them done. The underneath of the nails with the extra acrylic, the messy french design, and the aftermath of my nails in current time. I will no longer recommend anyone to this business and I will never be back.
