I'm not one to ever leave reviews but I felt like I should this time. I went in on Sunday w my coworker, and this lady did a horrible job. She seemed to be in a hurry while doing my nails, there were a few times where she wasn't even looking at what she was doing and I thought the whole time that she was going to hurt me. I had to also tell her to fix my nails a couple of times because they were uneven. The whole time I was tense because I was scared she was going to hurt me, so instead of relaxing, I was just tense and uncomfortable the whole time. After she was done filing my nails, she started painting my nails, the nails came out super streaky and bumpy. since I got white you would think she would take her time to make them look nice, but she didn't. She only took 30 mins to do my nails, and keep in mind I got acrylics, and a gel mani. They always take about an hour to do a good set, so that should tell you how fast she was doing my nails. I always tip good but I hated the experience so I only gave her 2$. I shouldn't have even given her those 2$. I wish I got her name but I was so upset that I just wanted to leave. Not worth 45$, And never going back. They do a better job at Area One. So if you guys are looking for a way better nail shop, area one is the spot! Tried this place out for the first time today, and left very happy! Jenny did my pedicure, and she did a great job. She actually spent the time cutting my cuticles and skin around my nails, and took the time to work the callouses on my heels. I'm very picky, but I left satisfied. **Tip to new customers: they prefer cash tips, rather than putting it on your card. I didn't have cash on me, so they let me do it this time but asked that I bring cash for next time.** read more

As a first time customer and long veteran of visiting nail salons I was very disappointed in my overall experience. When I first arrived with my guest I was please that the salon looked clean and more up to date. I purchased the manicure/pedicure simultaneous combo. My guest had a spa deluxe pedicure only. My guest was satisfied and also had a different technician. In my experience today my pedicure was at best satisfactory. The reason I am writing this review is based particularly on the manicure. It has been 6 hours since the finish of my mani/pedi and my nail color has chipped on three nails and another has a fine hair set into it. When I left The nail salon I went shopping, got a coffee and then went home. I would also like to point out that I am not a fan of excessive use of acetone to clean around the entire nail cuticle and nail tip. (This may seem overly picky but it drys out the skin and removes the nail color on the edge of the nail.) when this was done the clear coat had already been placed. Ladies and gents if you have had a good manicure you do not use ACETONE after the clear coat, and most certainly do not need it if you have a technician with a steady hand. I would also like to mention that telling me that because I was moving (I was not) made you mess up, is not good customer service. I am a dental assistant, if I were to tell my patient the reason I nicked their gum line was due to them moving I would likely get written up and I would never blame my error on them. Agin I was very still and had no massager on either. I was looking to feel excited at the end of my nail session since I haven't had had a manicure in months. I have a steady hand and could have saved myself a minimum of $20 doing it myself today. :( meh! Needless to mention I WILL NOT be returning or referring customers. read more

Against my better judgement (based on the yelp reviews) I stopped anyway to get my gel manicure soak off and a mani-pedi because I though "how bad can it really be with so many manicurist?"... I ended up not going through with the manicure because even though I specifically stated I wanted the gel soaked off she filed my nails. I was assured that my real would not be filed in the process. Not only were they misshapen, but layers of my nail ended up coming off. As far as the pedicure... I don't mind paying for something, but I thought that $20 for the pedicure was not worth what I got. read more

I went for a garden variety pedicure, as I was in the area waiting for my daughter. I had never been, but was impressed by the decor and cleanliness of the salon. That feeling promptly changed after I was shown the price sheet and only given the option of a deluxe treatment for $30!!!!! I had never paid such a price but I said I'll just go ahead and treat myself. After everything was done and I went to pay the lady up front quoted me $35 before tip?!?! I advised her that that wasn't the price on the sheet, and she made me feel like I had misread or misunderstood the prices!!!! It was clearly some type of bait and switch!!! I came here with my girlfriend and everything seemed fine except my girlfriend was quiet and seemed sad or upset. Little did I know how bad it was. After we left she was sobbing in the car. I wanted to go back and confront them on what they said but she wanted to be as far away from the place as possible. Here's her story since she doesn't have a yelp account. I got the spa pedicure here and received the worst service ever! I'm Cambodian but speak and understand Vietnamese. I've gone to several places for my nails and usually I hear the ladies make the same comments. Usually they are just trying to get more services out of their clients. This nail salon was completely different experience. The young ladies there all were gossiping about their clients including me. They tried to get more money from me with add on services but I declined. I just wanted the basic pedicure. The girl doing my nails completely stopped talking to me and from that moment on all I heard was inappropriate racial comments about me from her & the three manicurists next to her. They said: "she's too ugly and dark to deserve her Caucasian boyfriend" "how can he be with someone so dark and ugly, maybe she wants his money" "how can I get more service from him when this ugly one tell's him what to do." "Look at her sitting there so ugly looking! Is she even wearing underwear? Try to look up her skirt!" "He should've went to Vietnam to get a girl instead of that ugly dark one". I was so stunned and upset! I wanted to see if they'd change topics before responding back in Vietnamese. They did briefly but only to make more inappropriate comments about other clients. "That fat ugly white one walking in is so difficult." This one all tattooed so ugly. Don't make touch her skin! I cannot wait to be done working on her." I spoke to their manager in Vietnamese and explained how upset I was. I told him his employees needed to be more culturally conscience and work on their customer service skills. The service needs to be the same no matter what service we go in for. He only repeated ok, ok, ok and the four ladies that made those insults were no where to be found. He did not apologize or care for my satisfaction as his patron. I would NOT recommend this place. It's filled with money hungry racists! read more

YELP I USUALLY COME HERE EVERY TWO WEEKS BUT I WONT ANYMORE !!! After calling ahead of time for an appointment I was sat down by the OWNER and she rushed my new set by ripping off my nails ... Even after complaint of pain she still tore off my thumb causing it to bleed and give me pain THE ENTIRE MANICURE. I never asked for compensation however she OVERCHARGED me ten dollars and then offered me 5 dollars off my full set and spa pedicure and told me she was sorry for cutting me . I accept her apology but as a loyal customer I was disappointed in how she handled the situation . The real shame is this was my favorite place but there is no excuse for making me BLEED and while I sit in pain the whole time this is how she tried to make it better? As an owner of a business myself I was shocked and dismayed not only will I never go back but I had to write this review as a lesson and warning to everyone who goes there while most of the nail techs are polite and do great work please remind them to be careful of your nails you could honestly sue for the amount I bled and the pain I experienced!!!!! read more

I will not go back to this place!!! Be very cautious! I have been wearing acrylics for over 18 years and I have never experienced what I have coming here. I had my nails filled by Peter, the shape and length were good. But after about 2 weeks I noticed I started with a tiny green dot on my ring finger. Yuk!! It was a tiny speck of mold caused by air and water getting into the nail because it wasn't filled correctly!!! I walked into the shop without an appointment to complain and to have my nail repaired but Peter nor the owner were there. One of the ladies that works there said to me that she would take the nail off and I would have to air the nail out. She was rude! She and about 2 other ladies were rambling away speaking their language which made me feel very uncomfortable. I asked her if she could please have the owner and or Peter call me so they can give me some piece of mind or to give me care instructions, but they never bothered to call. This place is unsanitary by all means and I will never go back!!! read more

Sometimes, I'd rather not know what these women are saying behind customer's backs. Oh I meant right in front of them in Vietnamese. I don't look Vietnamese but I am quite fluent. I come here when my usual nail artist is out of town, just for simple stuff. I've been here three times and each time I am more disappointed. I get very mediocre quality and I feel like I have to tell them how to do their job. They always ask me to soak my fingers in alcohol, when I ask for the foil method, the lady stares at me wide eyed and tells her coworker in Vietnamese "oh crap, this girl wants the foil method!" Doesn't matter anyways bc she quickly soaked a big piece of cotton into alcohol and wrapped my finger. My whole fingertip was soaked, where my other nail artist tries to only get my nail. Might as well dipped my fingers in alcohol and not get attitude. They also don't seem to know they have to scrap off the top coat of my gel to quicken the soak off. I sat there for 30 minutes before it started to peel, and that's only bc I told her to scrap off the top. 1 hour just to take off cal gel for $7. The lady that finished off my nails was nicer so I tipped her and didn't say I was Vietnamese. I think I'll have to find another place to take off cal gel after my last visit, and you should too! read more

They said yes to us when we went inside that they have room for us then they didnt do my moms manicure and just did her pedicure and she took 5 other ladies who came after us to do both mani and padi for them. I needed a fill & pedicure and couldn't get in at my regular salon- it was Friday evening I got a gel fill & pedicure looked great, until I got home 2 hours later. My gel fill started to lift on almost every nail. Next day I called the salon to explain & the lady was happy to resolve the issue and scheduled another appointment for later that day. My nails were completely redone and they looked great. Guest what ... AGAIN they were lifting. I'm not sure if it's a polish issue or what.. this is what happen to me. Decided to try this place for the first time and it wasn't a good experience. Their board says the price is $35 for a "pedicure with gel color", but when you sit in the chair they hand you a card with pedicure options... none of them being a regular pedicure. I selected a gel color and the deluxe pedicure, which is also priced at $35. As I was done, they informed me that gel color was $15 more. When I pointed out the sign on the wall which noted the gel color as being included in the pedicure cost, they said that was only with a "regular" pedicure, not the "deluxe" pedicure I selected. So a deluxe pedicure with gel Polish and no design cost me $50. A total rip off. Never again! read more

I was disappointed at the limited selection of nail color polishes. Their shelves are half empty and the polish bottles were half empty also. I didn't like any of their colors and settled for the closest color to what I wanted. They were friendly but after reading some of these comments I think I know why. Not great by any means. I walked in and asked how long for a pedicure because I only had an hour before I needed to pick my son up from preschool and the lady told me to pick a color and directed me to a chair, ok cool I'll have plenty of time! Then I sat...and sat...and sat with my feet in water for 20+ minutes! That's BEFORE anyone came over to start my service. I was just about to leave so I'd taken my feet out of the water to dry. I was basically tricked, then trapped til they had time for me cuz it's not like you can just leave when they have you sitting there with your feet soaking right? If they would have just told me it was a 25 minute wait I would have gone somewhere else! When the girl finally came over I told her I didn't have time now and the main lady who sat me said they could do it fast... Ummm ok. So it was kind of half assed but at least my toes looked good enough to wear sandals so that's something but they sent me out with wet polish! I asked if they had any fast drying spray and she tried to tell me they were dry! Yeah right, so I hobbled out to my car in the thin little flip flops things they give you and hoped the air vents in my car would do the job! On top of all that they charge you a different price if you try to pay with a credit card! Seriously? When even street vendors can now take cards you're that cheap that you don't want to pay the credit card fees every business pays??? I wanted to try a new nail place other than my typical one closer to home. The ladies were nice. I got a french gel polish for my wedding and I wanted a very thin, natural looking french nail. I kept having to ask the girl to make the white part thinner and finally just gave up. I'm not sure why I have such an issue with having a natural look, but I always seem to get push back about it. My first time here, came with a friend whom I haven't seen in 2 1/2 years. We were seated immediately when we went in (we had an appointment). They have a good number of nail polish selections, not too overwhelming. The lady who did my mani and pedi was nice, didn't talk that much.. but I felt my service was RUSHED because people started coming in and they probably needed me out of my chair ASAP. I am Evelyn's biggest fan! My girlfriend's nails are always beautiful and she referred me to Evelyn about 2 months ago. I have been coming faithfully every 2-3 weeks ever since. I was a loyal regular at a salon 5 minutes from my home in Eastvale but they only offered the basic gel manicure, while Lee Nails offers the permanent gel which uses a different method and lasts much longer. I am soooooo happy with my nails-- they dont chip or break as they used to with regular gel manis, and are overall much stronger. Clean salon and very friendly staff. They even have a box of FREE nail polishes and encourage you to help yourself to one on the way out, which I've never seen before but think is pretty neat! I came here with my sisters and mother for mother's day about a year ago. I decided to get a manicure and a pedicure and they were done by two different ladies. The one who did my pedicure opened up a big hole on my pinky toe and poured acetone on it! It was so painful, but I just took it because I thought that's what they usually do, but I guess not! And the one who did my manicure was in a rush, missed some spots, and made it streaky. I could've done a better job at it! I feel like she just did a terrible job because I am younger looking (i'm 21), because she gave my mom and sister a really nice manicure and took her time. I should've said something while she was doing my nails, but I don't like being mean lol. BUT she should've been more thorough with mine in the first place. I don't recommend this place. read more
