I won't go back. They are friendly (that's why I gave em 2 stars) - but - they are pushy. Always looking to sell you something more. I'm a guy looking for a simple manicure and pedicure. They are always late for appointments. They barely do a so-so job. I went here 3 times trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but they never improved. It's also a pet peeve for people to speak all around in a foreign language they clearly know I do not speak. I've been going to this salon regularly for about 4 years. First off, this is Corona, people (not Beverly Hills!) and as far as salons in Corona go, this is pretty nice. Not luxurious, but clean and nice. The owner, KIM, is very kind. She always makes an effort to smile and always remembers my name. There is sometimes a wait, but they will get you in quickly. I almost never call ahead and am always able to be in a chair in less than 5 minutes. Their prices are average. A regular Mani-Pedi is $30 (which includes sitting in the pedi chair and minor callus removal on the feet). I personally don't use the massage feature on the massage chair because I have scoliosis and it hurts my back bone, but friends have said it's relaxing and they like it. I used to get the Gel Manicure (which is an extra $15), and loved it at first (Gelish brand was my favorite). But after about a year of gel manis every 2 weeks, it seemed like the gel it started cracking or peeling on my nails. I don't know if the gel got old or what, but I then switched to acrylic overlay on top of my natural (medium-short) nails (about $20-25, less for a fill.) Nobody there has ever made my nails bleed. And I can add here that it is clean and I've never had an issue with cleanliness/fungus, etc. Also, I've never had the feeling that the employees are talking "behind my back in front of me" in another language. They do sometimes speak Vietnamese to each other, but don't look at you and giggle or anything like that (which, sadly, I have experienced at other salons.) Everyone there is friendly, but I have PETER, CHRISTINA, or EVELYN do my nails. Acrylic overlay, nice and thin. They all do a fantastic job. I get compliments on my nails all the time, and people ask me if its gel because it looks so natural (the acrylic is not tacky and thick.) JENNIFER does my pedicures, and she's a sweetie! Always does a great job. EVELYN also does a great job on eyebrow waxing. I have a 5-year old son whom I bring with me most of the time. Everyone is very sweet and genuinely kind to him, and they all know his name. They even give him a little foot massage sometimes! :) When I don't have him with me they even ask where he is. :) (KIM even gave him a snack a few times, some sesame cookies that he loves!) JESSE gives *EXCELLENT* foot, neck, and back massages. He's small but he's strong! Ask for their "Rewards Card." You earn a free 30 minute foot massage for every $380 you spend. I think that's a nice little bonus :) I would have given them 5 stars if they offered drinks (a little wine while getting a mani-pedi is my fave!) and had a little more ambiance. They have a 2 nice plasma TVs which are sometimes both on at the same time and on different channels (which is kind of distracting for me). They also have the standard fluorescent lighting, which I don't particularly care for (in all honesty, I loathe fluorescent lighting.) Some nice, classy warm lighting would add a nice ambiance. Lastly, sometimes the employees cook their food in a back room and the smell wafts into the salon area. I understand that people need to eat, but the smell is strong and not very appealing to me. If you live in the South Corona/Eagle Glen/Dos Lagos/The Retreat area I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you try this salon. :) Who knows, maybe one day they will offer a glass of Chardonnay or Rose' with my mani-pedi... then I will give them 5 stars! ***** :) read more

Do not WASTE your Money Went in to get a full gel set, the wait was ok First off just let me say that the lady that was doing my nails was not friendly at all. I said hello and asked how her day was, she pretty much just grunted. She said your nails are bad, I said well that's why I'm here. I've been doing my spring cleaning. Why are you cleaning she asked , I said because I like a clean house. She grunted again. I picked my color and she started to apply it (dark red) and she said "No I don't like that color" You need this color (much lighter red) and she preceded to remove the polish from my nails!! I didn't like the way my nails were done, so I told the manager and she was so nice. She gave me a free manicure to compensate! So my next manicure was free 3 weeks later! I got the Royal Spa Pedicure and it was great. The service was very thorough and the massage was long. I like how my nails turned out. I got a french pedicure with flowers. The massage chair was felt good on my back. Also, I'm about 8 months pregnant when I came and the massage on my ankles and feet reduced some of the swelling. I was very happy about that. The staff was polite, although English isn't the only language spoken so if you really like to chatter, then this may not be the place for you. I prefer the peace and quiet so I really liked not having to make small talk. I was able to walk right in with no appointment. Although it was a Saturday and towards closing time, there were more customers walking in. They seem to have a lot of repeat customers. They really did their best to try to accommodate everybody. I called on a random Tuesday morning after dropping my daughter off at preschool to see if they had any appointments. they said to Come in! I arrived about 10 minutes after calling and they had a gal ready to do my nails. She was a little slow since the whole gel mani took over an hour but she seemed meticulous. the seats are fairly tight/close together, so you can hear the next person's conversations. the interior of the salon is not updated but didn't seem dingy like some other places in town. I also got my brows waxed from Christina who was very quick to pull off the wax strip. usually there's at least a 10 second lag after application. I mentioned the ad on the freeway and they weren't sure if it was still up, but they honored the 10% off services. (*update* they only give you the 10% if you're a first time customer. Even though the ad doesn't say that. As long as you don't look familiar I think you can say you're a first time customer all the time for the discount!) they ask for TIP in cash, but also take credit cards. plenty of parking since its in the dos Lagos shopping plaza. For a gel manicure and regular pedicure it's $45.00. Not the cheapest in town but haven't had major issues so I'll come back occasionally. read more

Came in on a Saturday afternoon and decided to give it a shot... Being in a nice area, I kind of thought they might give good service!! I was wrong.. Came in got seated immediately by the lady in the front... They didn't really give me enough time to think about the style/ color/ shape I wanted so I felt rushed... Told the guy coffin shape and was feenin for a plain color.. I asked if they had any designs and it seemed like I was talking another language so I mentioned that I go to 3D nails in upland to prove that I wouldn't mind paying extra for a design. Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews! I've had nothing but great experiences! I never make an appointment and I'm always seated within 10 minutes. I've tried several other nail salons in Corona and these gel nails last me almost 3 weeks without chipping. Way better job than the other salons. I am new to the area and just trying to find a decent and affordable place to get my nails done. This is NOT the place. When I got there the woman doing my nails saw that I had gel on and asked why I wanted polish. I told her it was a special occasion and I prefer polish. She continually asked me to get gel. Then she had the woman doing my pedicure do the same thing. They would not stop asking me to get gel. They then told me my main and pedi would be 5 more each than the price listed because they had to take off the gel. When I went to check out it was a total of 20 more than the price listed. On top of that I did not have cash for a tip and was going to just use credit as a tip because a tip is a tip and the woman at the front told me to go get cash from Trader Joe's. The only polish job they did lasted a mere 2 hrs which is lousy for the hour and a half I was there with poor treatment. Not going here again and would not recommend it unless you want to charged more for not getting the treatment they want to provide. read more

I have been going to lee's spa nails for years. My grandpa and grandma used to take me once a week.. My grandma was suffering from dementia and was often very hard to manage. She loved coming here and everyone at lee's spa treated her so well. The women who gave her her weekly pedicures were beyond sweet and gentle with her, and it was one of the few things she would sit still for! Unfortunately my grandma has passed, but I still come regularly for my nails. You can't go wrong with anyone in here. They all do a beautiful job. I'm not one to ever leave reviews but I felt like I should this time. I went in on Sunday w my coworker, and this lady did a horrible job. She seemed to be in a hurry while doing my nails, there were a few times where she wasn't even looking at what she was doing and I thought the whole time that she was going to hurt me. I had to also tell her to fix my nails a couple of times because they were uneven. The whole time I was tense because I was scared she was going to hurt me, so instead of relaxing, I was just tense and uncomfortable the whole time. After she was done filing my nails, she started painting my nails, the nails came out super streaky and bumpy. since I got white you would think she would take her time to make them look nice, but she didn't. She only took 30 mins to do my nails, and keep in mind I got acrylics, and a gel mani. They always take about an hour to do a good set, so that should tell you how fast she was doing my nails. I always tip good but I hated the experience so I only gave her 2$. I shouldn't have even given her those 2$. I wish I got her name but I was so upset that I just wanted to leave. Not worth 45$, And never going back. They do a better job at Area One. So if you guys are looking for a way better nail shop, area one is the spot!
