Establishment is busy and clean. Staff was professional and courteous. This is an airport restaurant. I ordered the pad thai with chicken and shrimp. It is filling and decent, but not what I would consider authentic pad thai. TLDR: Excellent service, decent food, okay establishment, okay value. Would recommend!

Vegan Bowl

Service was a l slow as there was only one server for a very big section, but for airport food the menu was interesting and delicious, quality of food was good, and everything tasted pretty good. All of our meals came out at really different times and the res was a little tightly packed and hard to move around. Overall food tasted good, but it's still airport food and the service quality was the main reason for the three stars.

I was excited to try Lee's restaurant when I was at Pearson International departures terminal. However, I'm a little disappointed, I thought it may be a bit more elevated Asian cuisine but it seems kinda basic. I mean c'mon I should've known it is airport food... You won't find any Singaporean Slaw like you'll find in his regular restaurant in Toronto. Don't get me wrong, it tasted okay. The tasting platter was ok and the vegan bowl was a good choice as I know I'll be indulging along the rest of my trip. It definitely seems more catered for the Western palate and preferences.

Shrimp wonton udon

The terminal was a bit hectic when I landed and given I had ample time, I opted for a sit down vibe. There was a bit of a wait when I got in and was seated at the bar. Service was overwhelmed but nice to everyone. I ordered the shrimp wonton udon that came with pieces of beef (which I could have done without). The beef and broth didn't have much flavor, but the wontons were flavorful and cooked perfectly. It's fine for a bite if you have some time. Note it is on the pricer side of options since it's a sit down.

Sitting ambience is ok, there's not enough AC inside. There's a bar on the side and steam dim sum is near the front entrance. Cooking is from the back kitchen which the food came out a bit slow. Service was nice. Our server Bryan was friendly and thoughtful. He gave us bowls and plates for food sharing without us prompting. He deserved 4 star. The food on the other hand was at best 3 star, which drags down the overall rating. The won ton udon soup had a bit of bacon to add in the flavor to the broth, which is good, but the won ton couldn't hold itself firmly and was easily broken apart. The beef slices were just dumped into the broth without breaking them up. The seafood red curry had a lot of vegetables which I like, but on the other hand, I didn't pay 26 CAD just for veggie. The rice was weird, it looked normal but tasted like broken rice. Friend said that was over night rice. Definitely not the best Asian food I had.

While my food looked good it was under seasoned. Service was unfortunately terrible, I'm sure they may be short staffed but it was one of the worst services I've experienced in a long time. The waiter essentially threw the menu at me and never made rounds to check in to make sure the food was okay. The menu online was outdated so I was very disappointed to see some items I wanted to try gone. Not comparable to Lee downtown at all.

Beef udon noodles

The noodle was great. It had fresh bok choy seaweed and fresh carrots. I would comeback if ever I will have a chance and order it again. It's a full service so just seat and the servers will come to you. The it may be still early in the day so it quite.

We came on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty busy but we got sat right away. There was a little bit of a wait for the server to come to our table. The server was nice, took our order and brought our food. The restaurant is casual/nicer than many in the terminal. The strawberry lemonade was delish - 10/10. Not too sweet and refreshing The Pad Thai - not bad but not really great. It felt expensive for what it was. ($28 with the chicken added). I would get a different meal next time. As we were leaving there was a long line of people waiting to get in!

Mango salad with chicken satay

I came here during a long international flight delay. I got the mango salad which was filling and tasty. I appreciate how the salad was not simply lettuce or spinach leaves. I sat at bar. Service was great and it is a nice option with lively ambience for being inside the airport.

Shrimp dumpling. Great if you like the taste of paper

Food seemed frozen and it kept breaking apart whenever we tried to grab it with our chop sticks. I would not come here. It is simply not worth the price. I would rather eat Trader Joe's frozen food at home. The burger place across was better. This place seems like a soul-less cash grab. You would think the iron chef would care more about his name. Also why the hell was there no chili oil.

Pad Thai

Came here for dinner. Got the pad Thai with chicken. It was flavorful but the chicken wasn't the best. It was a nice variety though.

Classic breakfast

I don't know why Susur Lee is associated with this airport restaurant... I came here around 7am for breakfast. I was told they don't serve dim sum until 10am. I had a classic breakfast ($18) which tasted worse than those complimentary breakfast at hotels. The eggs were dry and no flavour. The sausages were soft and also dry. The fries were average and the only thing I actually ate.

Steamed shrimp dumplings: phenomenal shrimp in a rubbery wrap. The shrimp was good enough to carry the dish, which only cost $10 Canadian.

My wife didn't want Asian food, but the presence of some non-Asian items on the menu swayed her. She got the teriyaki grilled chicken sandwich, which looked bigger when it came out 5 minutes after we ordered. The bun may have been steamed...it "deflated" after we picked it up. Not bad, but not full of flavor, either. It came with a very mild "spicy" mayo that helped. The fries were thick and had a nice crisp to the exterior. Good stuff. The shrimp dumplings each had one massive shrimp, with a rubbery wrapper around it. The wrapper gets rubbery when it's steamed, cooled, then reheated. It's inevitable that this sort of thing happens at an airport restaurant: people have planes to catch, after all. Soaking it in soy sauce, however, helped. But, the unfortunate thing is that they have those steamers going, which seems cool at first...until you realize the heat from the steamers is heating up the restaurant. I thought the A/C was failing, but it was those damn steamers. Not cool...literally. The food here isn't straight from the streets of Hong Kong, but it's not bad. The prices are also "airport reasonable": this food with 2 drinks cost about $60 US with a tip. We ate at the bar, and service was good. My wife didn't like the Moscow Mule, which was basically a copper mug of ginger beer, and the bartender happily replaced it with a strong mimosa. The overall experience was good enough that we'll be back if we're in this terminal at YYZ again. But, we'll look for a seat as far from those steamers as possible.

Walked out after 15 minutes of not getting service or even a menu. Expected more from a place that charges $10 for 2 baos.

The setting feels intimate and unpretentious, more like a traditional neighborhood French spot than a polished fine dining restaurant. We started with the cream of leek soup, which was surprisingly well balanced. It had a smooth, comforting texture without the sharpness you might expect from leeks. Paired with bread, it worked particularly well. The house salad was simple but fresh, with a nicely balanced dressing that made it a pleasant starter. The grilled veal liver may not be for everyone -- there's a slight natural intensity to it -- but with the shallot-based sauce, it became more approachable. The texture was firm rather than overly soft. The escargots were well executed and one of the more memorable dishes. Fresh, tender, and clean in presentation. Overall, a solid and honest meal. With wine, it came to around $80 per person, which felt reasonable for the experience. One thing to note -- reservations are still handled the traditional way by phone, and the restaurant keeps a fairly low online presence. A simple, quietly consistent spot that I would consider returning to.

The salad was well dressed, with a great mustard based dressing. The tart was perfectly composed, great balance of pastry, vegetables and cheese. For the entrees, we had the "Magret de Canard" and "Coq au Vin". Both were excellent - perfectly cooked, and great accompaniments; but the red wine sauce with the chicken was the standout. For dessert we shared the "Clafoutis aux Poires", pears baked in thin layers of pastry with vanilla ice cream. It was freshly baked, and not too sweet - so a great end to the dinner. The overall service was great - well timed, not over bearing and friendly. This is a great place for the the special occasion or treat;

The schnitzel that I ordered (Wiener Schnitzel) was enough to feed 3 people. Mine was with the potato salad that you pay an extra $2 (worth it in my opinion) or you could get it with rice and fries. It also comes with a salad. We also ordered the Potato Dumplings (Halusky) which brought memories of my trip to Slovakia a while ago. We also ordered some Pillsners Urkell to wash down our food. The schnitzel is a bit on the salty side so the Halusky, potato salad and salad provides a nice balance. The food took a very long time to arrive so that's something to be aware of. I'm not sure if it was a one off or if it's a regular occurrence. The food was worth the wait though. My advice will be to come as soon as they are open. The decor needs improvement but you are not coming here for the ambience. The food prices might seems expensive but when you compare it with the amount of food that you get, it's really not. There's parking at the back and the restaurant it's a bit lax about their opening time which is 5pm. We arrived at 5pm but needed to knock so they could open for us. It's in the same block as Dairy Cream so it was convenient for us. We did not finish our food as we were saving room for the ice cream. It's worth a visit if you are fan of schnitzels!
