It seems like this restaurant was buying frozen dumplings from those Scarborough places that make dumplings and just cooking them. I am familiar with those Scarborough places.

We only ate a few of the dishes fresh, so I will review those only. (The rest were taken home and put in the fridge, compromising taste and quality for a true, honest review.) Overall, I felt all the food we tried could have used a bit more flavour. Maybe they don't use msg(?), but a bit more salt or soy sauce might help the muted flavours. We got 5 dishes and paid under $60. Not bad value wise. Pork and Mushroom dumplings Tofu and preserved duck egg Fried rice with kimchi and pork Pork neck bone soup Wonton noodle with pork Tofu and preserved egg: 2/5 Medium firm tofu was used, not terrible but definitely didn't feel luxurious as silken tofu. 1/2 of the egg was also heavy on sulfur/ammonia taste, and I couldn't finish it even though I typically love preserved duck egg. Also not much flavour, they added a bit of what looked like green onion and soy sauce. That was tasty if you tip the box to dip the run off, though there wasn't much. Fried rice with kimchi and pork: 3.75/5 Not really a Korean Kimchi Fried rice, more like Chinese fried rice with some spicy sauce, I guess thats why it was named that way. Also kind of bland aside from the slight spiciness. Still not a bad fried rice. Pork and Mushroom Dumplings: 4/5 Really piping hot, even in the cold car, it was steaming. There was some juice that I wasn't expecting, since it wasn't XLB. I wish there was a bit more flavour in the meat, it was a bit better with the chili oil.

Being both pan-fried and soup-filled gives you the best of both textures, crispy on the bottom and juicy inside. I would've happily ordered a second round just of these.
