Here is the deal, I like the food here. It's priced reasonably and more important it tastes good. So far I have tried the Torta with asada, an asada taco , pastor burrito and of course french fries. The girl with the curly hair has always been polite when I have gone in. So I don't understand all the comments about poor service but my experiences have all been good. The dollar charge for using your card. A lot of gas stations charge for using your card and if you use a atm thats not from your bank another charge. Bring cash if the dollar charge hurts your pocket. Finally if you're on lunch from work and are in a hurry or you're an impatient person this is not, I repeat NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. I needed a quick bite in between classes and I walked around the corner and found Ledy's restaurant.. I ordered a chicken tostada, which was ready in 3 min. The owner was fast, friendly and allowed me to customize my tostada. My food was fresh, hot, crunchy and delicious. Everything blended so well together. I'm thoroughly 100% satisfied. Woman doesn't know how to ask you questions, she's so rude about it. + maybe i'm used to my own family's way of making baleadas, but the ones at Ledy's are so genuinely mid. The baleadas I ordered were of beans, cheese & cream, but It's basically all tortilla with a hint of beans & cheese. I come very rarely when I miss my culture's food & when I'm in the area, but I always end up regretting coming because I'm always left so unsatisfied. This will be the last time. The other plates I've tried are pretty okay, but the baleadas feel like an insult, & the woman's treatment to you feels like a slap to the face. At least the egg ones have a bit more than just the tortilla. I can bet that a big reason why they're still in business, too, is because the middle schoolers come after school to purchase from them because they're the closest restaurant. & i know that because when I used to go to that school 10 years ago, all the other kids used to go to Ledy's before they built the Target. Came here on a 30 minute lunch break. The lady was nice but didn't greet us for 5 minutes then didn't take our order for another 5 minutes. Finally got our food at the 22 minute mark and the food was not worth it. The Chile Poblano was over stuffed with the wrong cheese. It was Also bland...I asked for some salsa and that was bland too. I went here yesterday with my classmate for a short lunch break before we go back to our ACLS training and it was all thanks to our instructor who told us about this place. It was definitely a "hole-in-a-wall" because it was perfectly hidden from traffic even though it was located 1-2 minutes away from West Coast University. It was interesting to see that this place not only displayed Mexican food but also Salvadorean and Central American food, making the menu list wide in variety. I wanted to order the pupusas first, but when the lady told me that it will take 10-15 minutes for the pupusas to be ready, I ended up getting the carne asada burrito instead based on her recommendation so that I can get it and eat it faster before break time was up. The burritos that my classmate and I got were juicy, delicious, and full of flavor. I will come back again to try the other items next time. read more

This place has awesome food; however if you're in a rush this is NOT your spot even if you're ordering a burger. Go somewhere else to get your nasty fast food. This is an authentic Central American food. Yes - you'll have to wait a long ass time for your food but your food will be FRESHLY MADE as you order it. This is why it takes so long. Popusas and baleadas may be your fastest but it's still a 10-15m wait. I go there for both of those and every now and then order Central America dishes and it take about 30m. So If you need to eat here be patience. It's so worth it. When it comes to customer service - well probably not the greatest. This is a small spot and they're straight to the point. The place doesnt allot for more servers so they are not there to pamper you. This is not a chain restaurant where they cater to your needs. You don't like their service go somewhere else... I'm a super friendly, grateful and always say hi with a big smile and these ladies love me there! Remember kindness goes a long way. Always remember to smile when you're getting served. Love the food here!!! Whenever my husband and I are down south visiting family we always stop here! His brother used to live close by and told us about the place. They are from Honduras and his whole family eats here and loves the food. I have not had a bad experience there. We always get baleadas to bring home with us. I love this place, my good friend introduced me to this little hole in the wall... and i must say I enjoy it very much!. I'm a very picky eater, and every now and then I get a craving for that central american food, I traveled there by vehicle for about 2 months so it kinda grew on me!. First off it's family owned so for such a small place, you can really see the team work/effort they put in to make the place run smoothly. After the second time of being there, they quickly memorize your choice of meal!. I love love love their hand made tortillas, their queso fresco, and cream... beans always taste the same but combined with the cheese/cream and eggs it's just so perfect. Plus my hot cup of tea! I don't have much comparison, as I'm German by heritage, so can't really critique authentic Latin cuisines. But they do my eggs PERFECTLY, and I am now in love with plantains, baleadas, Salvadorian cream, and their fresh pressed orange/carrot juice is a brilliant capper! Prices are amazing, and seeing as how they're walking distance from my house, I can't beat the convenience. It's a little down-scaled, and sometimes overrun by the neighborhood Jr. High/middle school, but then then that's what "para llevar" is for. read more

This review is not based on the quality of food but the quality of service. Arrived to Ledy's a few minutes after 1pm excited to eat Baleadas with family, only to our surprise we were denied service. We walked in and took our seat and was not greeted with a hello but instead with menus that were practically thrown onto our table. A couple minutes passed and we weren't asked if we would like a drink or if we had any questions about the menu, finally after waiting close to 10 minutes we're then told that they were planning to close at 1:30 and if we could order the food to go because they did not want to sweep under our feet while they were cleaning. Instead of debating/ arguing we politely excused ourselves and decided to go elsewhere. Due to this unsatisfactory service we will not be returning. Hopefully the experience of others won't be the same. read more

I was pretty excited about trying this place out after reading the great reviews of the place, however I left extremely disappointed. Service: The service was very slow, and luckily my classmates and I made it here before the rush of kids came from the school across the street. Once the middle school gets out, good luck trying to get any food because they hoard around the door and it's almost impossible to get in. With this entire rush going on, there is only one lady manning the restaurant. I feel bad for her because she's there by herself with absolutely no help. What threw me off about this place is the fact that they have a $5 minimum for cards but end up charging you an extra $1 anyways regardless of how much you spend.. sounds like a scam to me.. Food: I ordered 2 tacos, one carne asada, one al pastor. Tacos were $1.50 each and the portion was just so tiny.. I actually wish I would have gotten a burrito instead. The carne asada was a bit better than the al pastor, but overall was mediocre. I also ordered a large horchata but was given a medium/small instead. ** My word of advice: DON'T GET THE HORCHATA HERE... it was horrible.. it tasted like a really weird laundry detergent and I tried to let the ice melt to see if it would make it better but it ended up being undrinkable and I had to throw it away.
