Skip the buffet, order from the Burmese menu!!! There's no wait and more authentic (and tastier) than B-Superstar 1. Palata with chicken curry: crispy roti with the curry side. Highly indulgent 2. Shan noodle: rice noodles with pickled veggies & seasoned chicken. Served warm, yet refreshing (not too oily)

This place has been at this shopping center for as long as I can remember. Grant it, I have never stopped by until just this past week for the first time. I have always gone to Sam's Chinese Kitchen when I am at this plaza but I felt that I needed to expand my options and check this place out. I initially noticed that they offer buffet style lunch which is GREAT! The cost for the buffet is $8.95 which is not bad at all. In looking over the options that you have for lunch you can somewhat see why the cost is what it is!!! You have your usual options that consists of the following: orange chicken, egg rolls, beef with broccoli, chow mein, etc. The portions get replenished when the get low which is nice but the freshness may be a bit questionable! My food was cool which I am happy about. I got a two item combo lunch box to go. The food seemed a bit over seasoned and a bit saltier than other Chinese food establishments that I have been to but I made it work. If you can look past some of these shortcomings here then this place may be a WINNER for you. But, if you prefer something that is a bit more tolerable I would suggest looking for Chinese restaurants in San Francisco, in my opinion. #GiveItATry

Great Burmese Chinese food. Not authentic but okay Myanmar noodles dishes. Would I go back again, no I wouldn't. Just like you want to try and just say ok type.

Best Burmese noodle soup and garlic noodle. Samosa the crispy potato fillings is really good.

This review is strictly on their Burmese food only, not their Chinese buffet. Came here on a lazy Sunday after our Burmese friend highly recommended this place and hyped up their kyae oae, garlic noodles, and fried shrimp appetizer. Y and I were stoked! Service was great, prices are reasonable, and all of our food came out looking very appetizing...and the flavors...they were pretty dead on, especially with the little pieces of fried garlic. My favorite was their chicken garlic noodle. That is...up until the MSG kicked in. OMG, talk about MSG overload! Growing up with Asian food all my life, MSG lives in my blood, I thought I was immune to it, but even I couldn't handle it. The throat started closing up, my body was feeling tight and tingly, and the headache kicked in. I was a complete mess! Needless to say, that just ruined the entire food experience. I think I need some time to recover before walking into this place again. If/when I do come back; I will tell them...absolutely NO MSG!

I am rating 4 stars for a few Burmese dishes at Ledu. Jae O and garlic noodle is probably the best in the bay area. Chinese food is just ok.

They have a lot of the same dishes you see at American 'Chinese' restaurants but it was cooked and spiced so well as to put it in a completely different category. I visited on a Friday night with my older parents. We were seated after just a few minutes, and the hostess was very courteous with updates. The coconut chicken soup was amazing, very creamy! Rainbow chicken was also very savory. I'd highly recommend the House Special Noodle. Noodles seemed to melt in your mouth, for lack of a better phrase. Just delicious. The staff and even the customers really went above and beyond in terms of courtesy and politeness, too. My mom had recently had a major surgery that required her to use a walker. I have absolutely no issue with tipping. What I have an issue with is quietly adding gratuity to a three-person lunch bill without clearly telling the customer. Had I not carefully reviewed the bill, it would have been very easy to add another tip on top of the gratuity already charged. What makes this even stranger is that I have dined here with my husband before and this never happened. This time, without him, gratuity was added automatically. I don't know why we were treated differently, and I won't speculate about the reason--but the inconsistency made me extremely uncomfortable. If automatic gratuity for a party of three is Mingalaba's standard policy, it should be clearly disclosed and consistently applied. If it isn't, then I think customers deserve an explanation for why it was added to our bill. Ladies, especially--check your bill before you tip.

The service was quick and friendly, and ambiance was homey! We got the garlic noodles (which I think might be more of an Asian fusion thing that is popular in the Bay Area), which I enjoyed. There seemed like there was minced crispy fried garlic on top of the noodles. We also had the pumpkin curry, which I have had before in homemade Southeast Asian food, but my friend hadn't seen that before on menus. I love savory pumpkin dishes and I'm glad they had it on the menu. I had also wanted to try a tea leaf salad--this is a touch bitter, but I really liked the balance of textures with some crispiness from the peanuts. I'm hoping they reopen soon!

The portion size of the White Fungus Salad and Coconut Chicken soup big enough for all 4 of us to share. The friend tofu was crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Tommy was very hospitable! He even gave us complimentary ice cream because our friends took us here. Found out that he may be relocating his restaurant soon (by Dec 2025) as the Mercedez Benz dealership beside them would like to expand which means that MB would take over the building space his restaurant is currently occupying. Very clean restaurant, make sure to stop by soon whenever in the Westborough area!

I can't judge how authentic the food is since this is my first time trying Burmese food... but it tasted really good. We ordered: - Burmese tea leaf salads (classic Burmese dish!) - Seafood cake curry with vegetables (okra) - Chin Boung Kyor - sour leaf cooked with shrimp, bamboo, and chili, and fish sauce Every dish complimented each other. We were so happy they all had a distinct taste. The tea leaf salad had a good balance of bitter aroma and sweetness from other vegetables. Topping it with the crunch from all the different nuts - it was so satisfying to eat. The Burmese seafood cake curry is on the lighter end similar to Thai curry and not creamy like the Indian curry. Every ingredient is packed with flavor. It reminded me of a laksa. The sour leaf stir fried vegetables is so unique! I've never had this flavor profile before so it was so refreshing to try. The leaf and the bamboo are soft, it almost melts in your mouth. I felt healthy after this meal. It wasn't overly greasy or heavy. All the dishes we were able to ask them to make it mild as well since my partner can't tolerate spicy food. There were street parking as well as plenty of neighborhood parking around the area. No wait time either on a Sunday evening.

Nothing feels heavy or overdressed, and the cabbage keeps the whole thing crisp from beginning to end. I don't normally get excited enough about a salad to write a review about it, but this one deserves it. Absolutely phenomenal. Order the green tea leaf salad.

There are so many amazing dishes but I would really recommend coming with a group and experiencing this spot family style. That's the way to do it. Parking can be tough so it's not a bad idea to take alternative transit options. Also this spot can be super packed at popular dinner and lunch hours like on the weekend. For the salads I highly recommend the tea leaf salad especially if you've never had it before. It's quite unique. The mango salad is quite good too with the unripen mangos so it isn't super sweet. It has a zesty dressing. The rainbow salad is good but it's more like a cold noodle dish and less greens so depends on what you are looking for. The samusa soup is good! The coconut chicken soup and noodle dishes used to be my favorite thing on the menu. But now it's a little to heavy, creamy, and rich for me. I would recommend sharing this one because it's so tasty. I love their coconut rice great with any of their curries or to complement the protein dishes. The garlic noodles don't wow me but they're good and great to go with a meal. The sesame chicken is good and tangy but it is breaded chicken. So depends on if you are up for that. The chili lamb is super good and so is the beef curry. They have a rice dish with chicken and shrimp that is good too. If you are okay with sweet things the mango chicken is good. And then they have some spicy dishes that are good if you like the spice. I don't love their green beans which is sad because I usually like this style of green beans which. They're a little spicy for my taste but maybe that's exactly what you are looking for. Burma superstar is honestly a comfort place for me at this point.

I came on a Sunday during lunch and was seated immediately, which was great. However, the service felt off from the start. The person at the front didn't greet us warmly and seemed uninterested. Once seated, our server, a young woman, appeared disengaged and not particularly happy to be there. She spoke very softly and seemed annoyed throughout the interaction. The only time she checked on us was about a minute after the food arrived, when everyone had just started serving themselves. After that, she never came back. We ended up waiting quite a while for the check, and the person at the front ended up helping us. As for the food, it was honestly pretty average. I think there are better Burmese options in the Bay Area now. 3/5 - Roti The dipping sauce lacked flavor, and the roti tasted like it wasn't made fresh. It was hard on the outside and arrived about a minute after ordering. 3/5 - Garlic Noodles with Chicken The noodles were thick and somewhat bland. They weren't served very hot, and the chicken was shredded rather than the style I expected. 3/5 - Chicken Basil Stir Fry It was saucy, but the flavors were muted and didn't stand out. Overall, this location felt like it may have been better in the past. Between the disappointing food and forgettable service, it wasn't a memorable experience. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars and would likely try other Burmese restaurants before returning.

Also, the record is absolutely stunning--I wish took photos of it! My friends and I shared the platters family style and ordered the tea leaf salad, platha and dip with chicken, ginger chili pork, chicken with fresh mint, and some coconut rice and jasmine rice. We had the tea leaf salad mixed by a staff member table-side, which was nice, and the salad itself was simply delicious. Quite possibly one of my favorite salads I've ever had because of all of the wonderful flavors that pair well with each other. The platha and dip that we ordered with shredded chicken in the dip was addicting! The chicken was beautifully tender and the dip was packed with the flavor! I was blown away by the nice texture of the platha as well! As for the main dishes, the ginger chili pork was cooked perfectly, and the ginger and chilis added a lovely flavor and punch to the dish. My favorite between the main dishes has to go to the chicken with fresh mint. I've never had a dish like this, and it made me speechless. The flavors were bursting out of this dish and the bold mint flavors made it even more tantalizing. Lastly, I only had the coconut rice, but it was perfectly cooked since it was nice and fluffy, and the coconut definitely shone through. I will certainly come back whenever I have the chance to come back to the city!
