Ledo Pizza on Friday nights is a family tradition. Large 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 sausage is our usual order, but the veggie and buffalo chicken are pretty tasty as well. read more

I am so sad to be giving this rating to Ledo's pizza. I have LOVED this restaurant and loved the fact that they have gluten-free pizza but for the past 5 times that we have gone now - the pizza and service just has not been good. The last time I gave very specific instructions for the pizza. I asked for the sauce to cover the whole pizza (not extra sauce per say - just push it to the edges please and not leave it gooped in the middle) ... I also asked for it to be "well done, but not burned please". I explained that this was becoming a repeat problem that never used to be. I asked for the chicken sausage and the girl indicated that they no longer carried it. Disappointed, I asked when they discontinued it as I had been out of the country for almost 6 months and had been craving this. The girl responded "we haven't had that for over 2 years!" (now I had just had it at their restaurant the first week of December - so not true and I hate liars and she was being really flippant and rude. I asked for the manager/owner at that moment and they weren't available according to the girl I was speaking to - nor was anyone else. (that should have been my warning to cancel my whole order) I am a long time customer. The regular employees know me well. I got the price of my order and asked to pay over the phone as I was sending my daughter for the pickup and they refused. The girl again goes "well you can send your card with your daughter." .... um no - I don't give my card to anyone ... as well as the fact that my daughter was at Wheaton Mall and I was at home in Aspen Hill. I tried explaining this as well as the fact that my husband is ill and I would have to get his nurse to care for him if I had to come to pay. She still refused to let me speak to another employee or ask the owner and had a really snotty attitude. So, I got my husband's home health care nurse to stay with him. I got my wheelchair out and loaded in the van and I drove to the restaurant to make the payment. When I got there, I checked the pizzas first. Neither had sauce covering the pizza to the edges ... over 1 inch all the way around was left uncovered. (now this is a small size pizza too and because it's gluten-free, because of it's texture, you definitely want sauce on it to be able to eat the crust. The broccoli was CHARRED BLACK!!! It was inedible. I couldn't believe that they actually were trying to even serve it to a customer. ....Esp after my instructructions. I talked to one of the other girls. She said the owner was going to call me ...but he never did. When I got to the restaurant too the girl I spoke to on the phone was chewing gum and and again SO SO SO disrespectful to me. She has a lot to learn about customer service and respect to adults in general. Because of the treatment from this employee and no apology from the store on top of all the hoops I had to jump through to order the pizza and get there .... They have lost a long time customer unfortunately. 00.00 read more

My favorite pizza chain. No delivery, but well worth the extra effort to pick it up yourself. Square pizza rather than round so it usually means you get more pizza. Try the pepperoni, it's triple the thickness of most pepperoni slices on pizzas. read more

I am giving them 2nd star because I ordered take out as opposed to feasting the pizza right out of the oven, which is generous. I ordered the caprese salad which when I picked it up I thought they had given me the wrong salad. It was romaine lettuce with 2 skewers of tomatoes and mozzarella balls on top. The size of the pizza was great and looked great but the excitement ended there. The crust was more like a dessert pie crust then any type of pizza pie crust and the whole thing lacked flavor but had plenty of grease. I now understand why the girl that worked there seemed like she hated her job. read more

This is a franchisee, not the original Ledo's location. The original is said to be better, but I've never eaten there, so I have no basis for comparison. If you're hungry, just head for this Ledo's and make up your mind what you want to eat on the way. It's in a foodie location: across the street from one good Chinese restaurant (Hollywood East), one door down from another (Good Fortune), half-a-block from a good Italian place (Christina's), half-a-block in the other direction from an IHOP and the new location of a good chicken place (El Pollo Rico). And there's a dozen other good restaurants within a mile of this Ledo's, which while nominally in Silver Spring is really in Wheaton. Okay, assuming you want pizza, you'll need to park either in the lot next door to Ledo's, or around the corner: the restaurant itself has only four places immediately in front, and I think all are reserved for people who are stopping for takeout. The restaurant has about six booths and a number of tables. Usually there are several families or groups of young people eating there. What is diffierent about Ledo's is that the pizzas are made in rectangles, rather than circles, and that the bread base has a distinctive texture. It is thin, and tastes more like a pie crust (American dessert-type pie) than the typical American pizza place pizza crust. I didn't love the it the first time I ate it, but it has grown on me over time, and now I always try to grab the corner pieces, which have the most edge-crust relative to their size. I also like their calzones, which are also rectangular in shape (what do you get when you fold a rectangle in half? another rectangle). The tomato sauce that comes with the calzone is wonderful; ask for extra, because there's not quite enough in the little container for a calzone (my wife gets very upset when I forget to ask for extra and end up stealing some of hers). If you don't want pizza, they also serve subs, salads, burgers, some Italian entrees, and a variety of appetizers. The service is usually good, and the prices are reasonable: a large cheese pizza runs $12, a veggie calzone $6.19 (according to the menu on my fridge, possibly out of date). read more

Much better than Nut House Pizza! I regretted the day I cheated on Ledo's, wasted money, I threw the food away! I loveeeee their wings and side salads! Always fresh! The pizza is ok, the sauce is a bit sweet for me, but I guess it's doable depending on your level of hunger. Overall it's good! Way better than Nut House Pizza! read more

I live in California now and I miss Ledo's like you wouldn't believe. Doesn't matter which restaurant, I'm sold. Our favorite is the mushroom and pepperoni. I'm pretty sure when we were in the area we ate it weekly. (Also delicious with Cholula Chipotle sauce on top!) I love that it's 'local' and that the product has never disappointed. I even had it at my wedding rehearsal - very casual obviously. Easy, affordable and most importantly, delicious. read more

We came in late after a day of touristing and got a pizza, salad, and sodas. The salad was fresh and what you would expect from a Caesar. The pizza was delicious but I'll admit a little unappetizing when it came out with pools of grease on top. I feel like that was partially our fault though...we got pepperoni and sausage which obviously aren't the leanest choices around. The crust is soft and kind of flakey on the bottom but crispy on the edges. I haven't had a pizza quite like that but I'd order it again, maybe with some different toppings. I got a free soda for checking in on yelp. Service was great, the women working all checked on us and it was a super enjoyable last meal in D.C. before driving home. Our waitress even explained a safer way to walk back to the metro before we left as it was later and we had our kids with us. read more

I don't love this place. I don't hate it, but I'd rather buy a frozen pizza from Trader Joe's and bake it in the oven over getting one of their pizzas. I don't understand what everyone likes about this place honestly. Maybe I'm just spoiled and have had exposure to real pizza up north. I'm still looking for a good pizza place in Montgomery county...this isn't it. read more

Ledo's pizza is legendary to those of us that grew up here. We would make the trip to Langley Park for those amazing square pies of flaky crust, smoking cheese & sweet sauce. It's a chain now & still as good, but a trip to the original might help you 'get it'. When you do, it's a pie you take pride in and crave often. Definitively worth falling off your diet for & great for a hangover. read more

Love this Ledo's its my neighborhood Ledo's. Great service. How good is the service, they'll take the pizza and wings out to your car while you hold your 1 year old son. The sauce is sweet and the crust is buttery flaky. Best enjoyed well done. Sold in squares. I always get pepperoni and extra cheese. This particular location can have trouble parking, so you can either button hook a light past it or turn early and sneak in at the metered lot. read more

Honestly, I love their pizza. The pricing is on point as well. The buttery crust is awesome. The sauce and cheese work well together.

I must say looking from the outside of the building I wasn't too impressed. But when I tried the food ..... It was awesome!!! From the pizza, calzones and the pasta ... I'm really impressed! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone !! read more

Marco was our server tonight and we had a wonderful time. Very good large sausage pizza and cheese sticks. Marco was perfect - not too intrusive and made sure our needs were met. read more

My goto pizza place in the DC area. Love the crust and sauce. Great house dressing for the salad.

If you like thin crust pizza, this is the place. Great tasting pizza and good service,

This Place does it for me everytime I need a Pizza fix. The History is charming, the thin crust Pizza is something they do very well it is soft and not like cardboard...I like the blend of cheese they use and the signature "sweet" sauce. Perfecto! read more

I was actually impressed with their pizza. Not what I expected. We ordered pizza for my office, and when my colleagues told me Ledo's was their favorite. All I could think was oh great... these people have crappy taste in pizza. HOWEVER, I was proven wrong. This place was pretty good. I liked the thin and chewy crust - reminded me of a frozen pizza which I will admit is a guilty pleasure of mine at times. The sauce is sweet, and they were pretty generous with cheese. Prices are pretty decent, for the amount of pizza you get. Or could it be the small square slices that it comes in? Maybe you fill up faster? I have ordered both the pasta and salads here. Salads are decent, however stay away from the crab ravioli - disappointing! This is a good location, they are prompt and consistent. read more

I love eating here. This is my favorite pizza shop. I recommend plain cheese. And get a large. Bring home any left overs.

I have been to Ledos a few times in my life and I don't usually go because I don't like square pizzas. it's a good place if you have a big group getting together that just wants to eat pizza. There is plenty of seating all around. Quick food and service. Price is pretty average. I think the good thing about this square pizza is the size and how it's portioned out. You feel like you're eating more with the square pizza. Haven't tried their pasta but I don't personally expect amazing pasta from a place known for their pizza. The pizza isn't spectacular and I'd say it is on par with anything you'll get in the area. There isn't much crust given that it is a square/rectangular pizza rather than a round one. I like crust so I don't enjoy this pizza as much. read more

I love this place. The family that owns this location is amazing. The food is always fresh. The pizza crust is made fresh often, by hand, and it is better than any place around. Love love love... can't say enough good things. I crave ledos in wheaton... mmmmm read more

My girlfriend and I always go here for pizza or the bottomless soup salad and breadsticks!!! I love this place. They also have great wings and good service read more

I got an 8" modem blt. It was a perfect personal size pizza. The crust was thin and crispy and the pizza was good. It wasn't anything special but it was good. I also got the old bay wings and they looked kind of burnt. There wasn't much seasoning on it either. I asked for all flats and didn't get that. It also sucks that this location doesn't deliver. I was satisfied but definitely disappointed. read more

I have been going to Ledos for 40 plus years, and granted it has been a little while since I have gotten pizza from them. BUT, it's bad enough when there is not enough sauce on the pie, but the sauce does not taste the way it used to. I am sorry for this local business, they lost me. Go back to the original sauce. It was the best. Dissatisfied, and Dissapointed. read more

Calzone wasn't anything special and very small. I was still hungry after finishing it, definitely not worth the money.

Great pizza and salads. Good priced beer with a list on each table. A pleasant atmosphere for sitting down to eat dinner with the family. I totally recommend it. read more

Love their pizza! Have some very good options and is usually quick whether dining in or carrying out. Good for groups and family friendly. Service is usually great. read more

Pretty good pizza, definitely better then the average papa johns or dominos. Pricing might be a little higher than your average pizza spot, but it's good. I ordered take out and it was done in about 15-20 minutes, I was impressed. read more

Love Ledo's pizza in general. Saw the excellent reviews for this location and went with my husband for an early dinner on Saturday. Excellent customer service as soon as we walk in the door. Ordered buffalo wings as the appetizers and they were really tatsty- plenty of sauce with a little crisp to the skin. We ordered our usual pizza which is pepperonin crispy bacon, sausage, and jalapenos. Pizza was so good we ate the whole thing; usually, we save some for later. read more

Amazing pizza. The red sauce is the best red sauce I have ever had. Management is amazing and super nice. The calzones were super good and new to me which I loved. Pizza like this does not exist in California for sure! Glad I checked this place out while in the area. read more

I ordered a large catering order for my sons 1st birthday party. The food came on time, the order was right, and the manager Sam, was wonderful to work with. He worked with me on getting the right amount. I went on with an order that was much larger then what I needed and he told me that. The guests said the food was great too! I highly recommend the catering. read more

Haven't been here in about 15 years, but still the same great place, and best pizza I've had anywhere. I had forgot just how great the pies were here.... No better pizza's anywhere! Update: Oops, not sure I selected the right location (didn't realize there were so many now days). But we went to the same old place in the Adelphia Plaza Shopping Center that I knew as a kid. Used to go there on Sundays and wait in line for an hour to get a table. read more

Who knew that Ledo Pizza actually had a vegan pizza?! I can finally partake in work related pizza parties now. And I'll have you know that non-vegans even tried it and found it quite good. read more

I called and ordered take out on a Friday evening about two weeks ago. The person taking our order was friendly, knowledgeable, and well-mannered. The parking lot is extremely small, but we were there around 3:30 so it was not busy. The inside of the restaurant is far bigger than the outside, and number of parking spots, would lead you to believe. We got to the restaurant a few minutes before the entire order was ready, and I made small talk with the person behind the front counter. He got all the fixings together for us, including plates and utensils, and put them in a bag. When our food was done, he checked everything with me to ensure I was satisfied with what they made. The cooks came out and I was also able to say thank you to them and be on my way. Our food was hot and delicious, and the entire order was correct! We will definitely be returning! read more

Wow simply amazing, great prices, great customer service, and great food all together. just wished they delivered. Surely going back to this location. read more

One of the better thin-crust pizzas in the area. The sauce is good enough to warrant selling it separately (and they do, thankfully). The toppings are plentiful, although not piled on so thick that you're going to feel weighed down after eating. No, it's not Chicago style deep dish. It's not intended to be. Plenty of other items on the menu if you're not in the mood for pizza. Be forewarned, parking can be difficult, especially if the place is filled with the frequent sports teams that congregate here for post-game celebrations. You may wind up parking a few blocks away and walking. One of my family's favorites. read more

Local Pizza joint, good for families, and just a casual place to get pizza. However, pizza is not the only thing on the menu. Ledo pizza in Wheaton has subs, lasagna, calzones, strombolis, flatbread wraps and salads. The food is great here compared to the other ledo's that I have visited. The pizza crust here is tastier than the others as well. Also, I have noticed that it is cleaner than the other'e in this area. The staff here is friendly also. I am a regular customer and would recommend others to visit for lunch or dinner. read more

My husband and I have been regular Ledo customers at both their Rockville and Wheaton MD locations for several years. We agree with prior customer reviews that Ledo's prices and quality of pizza is good until a recent experience Labor Day weekend 2011. On Sunday, September 4 we ordered from Ledo's in Wheaton a small "new wave" pizza with chicken, onions, and artichoke (with a coupon) and a large cheese pizza. Within an hour or so of eating a few slices we were violently ill with what we believe was food poisoning. The next day (Labor Day) my husband contacted Ledo's in Wheaton to inform them of what we purchased and alerted them to our food poisoning (possibly spoiled cheese). My husband was courteous and simply wanted to report the issue. We did not ask for our money back. Unfortunately, Ledo's in Wheaton did not raise any questions, demonstrate any concern, or offer to refund our money or provide any other alternative solutions. We do not plan to return to this particular location. read more

Native Washingtonian here who grew up making the pilgrimage to College Park on Sunday evenings....yum! Great value, nice service, sit down or take out. the pizza is awesome & fresh but I've heard from some that they just do not "get it". Yes, it is square, thin, hot, flaky and unique!
