Unfortunately, while making last minute reservations for a weekend wedding, I was unsuccessful at finding a dog friendly hotel. The next option was to find somewhere where I could board him; I wasn't too excited especially since I had only boarded him once before and for an hour after dropping him off I couldn't stop crying. This experience was completely different. From the first moment I spoke with Larie on the phone I knew that she was going to take really good care of Theo. She gave me her cell phone number and offered to meet me at the bed and breakfast I was staying at even though I was arriving late at night. After handing Theo to her she and her co-worker told me they were going on a walk with him which showed me she really knew how to handle dogs; especially ones that are prone to separation anxiety and stress like my little guy. I headed to the rehearsal dinner after-party and actually ran into Larie still out walking and bonding with Theo half an hour later. Amazing! He was glad to see me, but clearly comfortable with Larie and I was doubly relieved and reassured that this was going to be a great experience for Theo and I. Since Theo fell within the allowable weight limit, Larie boarded him at her own house with her (much larger) pups. She sent me text updates and told me to call her anytime with any concerns or even to check in. When my boyfriend and I went to pick him up, he was happy and very relaxed running around with her pups. It was clear that he'd had plenty of exercise and love. I am so grateful for her amazing care of Theo and I only wish that we lived closer Theo can continue to benefit for her professional and loving boarding services!

We got pictures and updates our whole trip, and when our pick up time had to be moved because we got stuck in traffic, it wasn't a big deal. The little boarding report card was adorable, and because our pup has nervous/excitement pees, Denise referred us to a trainer/dog psychologist that might be able to help. Our other dogs, boarded other places, have come home with cuts, ticks, smelling bad, or almost all the food we sent - this is the first time we haven't had anything to remedy once we got home. While we were away she sent text messages and pictures of my pets to let me know how things were going. She played with the kitten and made sure my older cat was eating and 'around' as well. She was also willing to be on call for an extra visit the day I was coming back, as I was not certain if I would be able to make it home in time for one of the feedings. My fiancee and I had to find pet care on short notice after our long-time pet sitter became unavailable. I found Melanie through internet research and left her a voicemail; she called me back within 10 minutes and answered every initial question and concern we had. We were leaving for a week-long international trip three days later, and Melanie was able to come by for a home visit the following afternoon to meet our cats and get all the details for their care. She also set us up with an app she uses for all her clients that allowed us to add any details we wanted for each of our pets, and which she uses with her staff to have a record for every visit. When Melanie came by the house, I could immediately tell she was an expert with animals after our two German shepherds ran up to her barking and she quickly put them at ease and had their tails wagging. She asked all the right questions about our four cats, whom she would be caring for for the week, and throughly answered all the additional questions that popped up. In addition to feeding our cats and giving them water for the week, Melanie and another member of her staff also cleaned the litter boxes, brought in the mail, and even moved our trash and recycling cans up the driveway so they wouldn't fall in the road. They also sent us photos and updates about our cats, one of whom needs a daily pill due to Addison's disease and can become fatally ill due to stress alone. We didn't worry about our cats once during our trip due to Melanie's fantastic updates and thorough preparation. And when we returned, all of our cats were more relaxed and happy than we've ever seen them after a trip. TL;DR: We'll be recommending Happy Tails to all of our local friends and neighbors and using Melanie's service anytime we need pet care. You can feel confident entrusting your pets and home to Happy Tails.

We always enjoy seeing the photos while away. We can see how happy they are. It is also nice how they check on our house too and bring in packages. I would like to give them a special shout out for the care that they gave our pets while we were away during a recent large snowstorm. We were concerned that they wouldn't be able to make it to our house because of the severity of the storm. they kept in touch and made sure that there was enough food and water for our fur babies in case they wee unable to make it back at the scheduled time. We didn't want them to endanger themselves and knew that they would be fine if they couldn't make it back. All went well and they reported back to us the next morning when the roads were cleared and they could make it back. They dug out a spot on the deck for our dog to get out and go the the bathroom and all was well. This is a great company and they truly love the pets that they are taiga care of.

And you were told numerous times during your training that this has happened before and we all make mistakes and that they have had to call locksmiths to get into clients houses before and they kept those employees! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER WORK FOR THEM!!!! ITS NOT WORTH IT THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!
