I've often considered boarding my dog when I can't be around to take care of him , but couldn't stand the thought of kenneling him or taking him somewhere where I couldn't be sure he would get the attention he would need as he is a senior dog and alittle anxious at times . Along came Dog Meadow at Millbrook , and after checking out their website and Facebook page i knew this would be the place for my dog . Each dog basically becomes a member of the Dog Meadow family and has full run of the property which includes a meadow mowed with walking paths and is fenced in so there are no runaways . Daily social media posts keep you updated on your dog's activities and give peace of mind . Both owners are clearly in tune with the different needs and personalities and so their best to accommodate and all at a reasonable price for this kind of service . Dog Meadow has been wonderful for our traumatized Schnauzer. Our dog spent the first two years of her life in a cage at a brutal breeding facility. It took us a year until we able to pet her. We needed a place that was safe (without cages) and that could help her be socialized. A place were she could learn to be a dog. Dog Meadow has been that safe haven for her. The owners have been patient , knowledgeable, and absolutely wonderful towards our Winnie. Our dog is excited to come to Dog Meadow and because of that I know she's in the right place. The facility is beautiful and is set up like a home away from home. I'm amazed at how far my little Schnauzer has come and a lot of it is due to the work that the owners at Dog Meadow have done with her. I can't thank Dog Meadow enough. I highly recommend Dog Meadow at Millbrook for all dog boarding and dog sitting needs! My dog Lana is particular and requires a lot of attention, and I haven't had a ton of luck with other local dog boarders. It's really stressful for both of us because I travel a lot, which is why I was so grateful to stumble upon Dog Meadow's website. They are our perfect fit! I always know my dog is in great hands with Laura and Kleber, and it's great seeing the Instagram pictures and stories of her playing with the other dogs on their beautiful country property. I cannot say enough GREAT things about Dog Meadow. We have two Wheaton Terriers that just love spending time there. When we are within a quarter of a mile of Dog Meadow they know where they are going. The sounds of excitement are so apparent. They cannot wait to get out of the car when we get there to see Kleber and all their new friends. Kleber posts photos and videos for all to see. I know when I leave them at Dog Meadow they are safe and well taken care of. They run and play with others, learn to be social with big and little dogs. We leave our dogs, Lady & Izzy, in the care of Dog Meadow when we're out of town. Both have gone since they were puppies. If it's anyy testament to how much we value Dog Meadow, we drive almost an hour and a half from the city to bring Lady and Izzy. We do this because we know they will always get the most attentive and high quality care. They have openn space to run free with other dogs and get to sleep outside of a crate, which is great for our dogs who never took well to crates. Kleber is wonderful to work with! Dog Meadow is the only place I will ever board my dog in the Hudson Valley area. The property is gorgeous with a huge open field for playing, and you can rest assured knowing your pup iz getting a ton of exercise outdoors, proper supervision, pricelesss socialization with other vetted dogs, and is being cared for by knowledgable, passionate humans who love what they do. I checked out a few dog daycare places before sending my pup to Dog Meadow. they make sure each and every dog is safe and cared for. the place is clean and while my dog comes home tired and fulfilled from playing, I know she is also safe and happy. Upon arrival she cannot wait to get out of the car so she can go and play with with her friends. This place is the best! Dog heaven. Beautiful 2 acre field where dogs can play freely and safely. No cages when boarding. Dog living room with couches and their own TV. The owners are knowledgeable and caring. My dog loves it so much I can't even say 'Dog Meadow' in the house or he runs to the door and won't leave in hope that today is the day. I boarded my 3 1/2 yr old German shepherd Lyla at Dog Meadow for 10 days. It was the first time she'd stayed anywhere other than with family. Kleber and Dog Meadow will be my go-to from now on. Unfotuneatly my dog was only at Dog Meadow for three days as i had to come home to deal with an emergency, but I knew when I met Kleber that he has a gret understanding of dogs. We have boarded our Golden Retriever Kali at Dog Meadow twice this summer, and she has clearly had a blast. She was delighted to see Kleber when he returned to pick her up for her second visit, and jumped straight into his car. She has not done this at all with previous caretakers.
