Mine were a bit anxious at first, simply because this was a new experience. They quickly warmed up and the staff was sure to let me know about their behavior. I even got chance to see how that works when I was dropping off my dog I saw one of the handlers had a dog out in the play area and was working really hard to get good pictures of the dog for that family.

This is the first place I've ever used where I feel completely secure leaving my dog, even for long stays, because I know she'll be happy and well-cared for. In fact, my husband and I joke that our dog likes it better at Karen's than at home. Our girl practically jumps out of the car window when we pull up because she's so excited. ​I brought all three of my Pomeranians to Corey and Grace today for a full wash, cut, and nail…read moretrim, and they came out looking absolutely beautiful, healthy, and so happy! ​I am extremely particular about who handles my dogs because of an awful experience years ago with a groomer in Hartford who traumatized my first Pomeranian and severely damaged her hair and skin--it took over a year for her coat to grow back. Since then, I refused to trust anyone local and spent years driving my dogs all the way into NYC just to get them groomed. While our city groomer was great, making that trip from Danbury was exhausting and expensive. ​I was nervous to switch, but I decided to give Corey & Grace at Wags Doggie Daycamp a try, and they completely exceeded my expectations. They were exceptionally gentle with my newest rescue, who has serious PTSD, and took extra care with my special needs pup by using a supportive harness so she didn't have to strain or stand on her hind legs unsupported. ​Seeing how patient, safe, and stress-free all three of my girls were was such a relief. While we appreciate that they took him to the vet, this incident has left us with concerns about the level of supervision and safety protocols in place. I encourage anyone considering boarding here to ask detailed questions about how dogs are monitored and how they prevent altercations. I hope the facility takes steps to prevent another family from going through this horrible experience. Our dog is now medicated to allow his ear which has a chunk missing!! to heel and must be monitored 24/7 as the ear bleeds at any movement. As an adult dog, she pulled on the leash, barked at everyone, jumped on people and knocked everything out of my hands. Within a few weeks, Sadie is so well behaved. The top thing is to read Sadie's body language. I know what to look for when Sadie is getting anxious and Jean taught me how to deescalate the situation before bad behavior begins. Another thing I learned is how train Sadie while having fun. I enjoyed our lessons very much. The training program exceeded my expectations. Sadie is potty trained, respects other people and we can finally have an enjoyable walk together.
