My husband and I adopted a dog 7 months ago and arranged for a daily Monday - Friday dog walk the moment we brought him home. Bryan is our walker and I've had the opportunity to observe Bryan with our dog (Bowie) the 1 day of the week that I work from home. Boy, does Bowie love Bryan! Bowie, like most dogs, will be apprehensive if someone just walks into our house. But, not with Bryan. Bowie runs to him with tail wagging knowing full well he's about to have a good time on a nice walk. Bryan is professional, timely, very pleasant and a trooper with the best of attitudes (even when it's pouring rain and he's soaked, he's got a smile on his face). Bryan leaves us a note every day so we know how Bowie was and what he did so there's no mystery when we arrive home. I couldn't be happier to be in Bryan's territory. We've also sent Bowie for daycare and overnight care. I've visited the facility and noted what a clean and fun place the dogs have to be in. We've also taken advantage of the taxi service which really is, as PAGG's website says, the ultimate in convenience. Taxi service is timely and dependable. One if the best things about daycare and overnight care is when your dog is returned and you see how sated they are. Bowie is SO mellow for a day or more after returning. It's no wonder though as you know he's having so much fun running around and playing while staying on site with PAGG. Bowie is a German Shepherd mix so he doesn't require complicated cuts, etc.. but he sure does shed. The furminator treatment PAGG provides really does the trick and he always looks so good and smells great when we ask for him to be groomed while staying on site. PAGG really understands that our pets are our family. Nicole who owns PAGG is the most responsive and professional service provider I think I've ever had the opportunity to hire. And, being that the service is for our furry family member, the responsiveness and "can do/no problem" style really is priceless. Nicole runs a tight ship and you can feel confident that your pet is in the best of hands. I feel truly lucky to have access to PAGG. If you are considering becoming a client of PAGG, I can promise you that you won't be disappointed!

I was the same way with my previous dog as well. I was told today not to come back with my baby 18 month old dachshund because I am too much of an overprotective mom and it puts too much pressure on her staff and I guess her as well. It's important to me that an Adventures Unleashed pack run, in addition to being very active and social, usually lasts over a couple of hours, which really helps give our goofball of a dog lots of time to expend his excess energy. He's happier, and we are thrilled! One additional thing -- Becki at Adventures Unleashed really cares about the dogs that do Adventures Unleashed. I've seen her go the extra mile (so to speak) for our dog and other dogs in her care many times, and she always finds a way to help out the dogs and their owners when they are in need of her assistance. Adventures Unleashed also offers first-class house-sitting with your animals, and we've used this service when we've gone away for several days to a week. We took him in, loved him, and still found ourselves in crisis -- biting, aggression, resource guarding. We were scared of our dog and desperate for help. Oliver was our fifth dog and as a family we were seasoned users of positive reinforcement as the primary training method. We turned to Angelo at Art of K9 and made the decision to board Oliver for 8 weeks. He took on Oliver after a thorough consultation. Angelo worked through Oliver's aggression and resource guarding using the e-collar and other training tools. These methods gave us the ability to communicate with and control our dog in a way positive reinforcement couldn't. The transformation is hard to put into words. Oliver is now relaxed, cuddly, and genuinely at peace. He still has his moments -- but now we have the tools to handle them. This has changed everything. Overall, she has many service dog qualities. I need to give credit where it is due because our dog was unsure of herself, very anxious, annoying at times because she didn't know what to do during quiet hours at home and needed way too much physical exercise (4+ hours daily). He taught us, and our dog Monsi, that exercise and socialization looks different than we thought. Monsi is the dog we dreamed of and didn't know how to achieve. He tapped into her potential. She does not impede our life in anyway. She adds on to the quality and is stress free now that we know how to maintain and handle her. Not only that, but my parents sent their dog at the same time as our dog. So now we have two dogs that listen to the same command. We can bring our dogs on vacation and have complete calm and fun with them present. This was the greatest gift to a life of joy with a well trained fur family member! Thank you Angelo and Art of K9. I made sure to explain that he is a heavy shedder given his Shiba background and needed a very good brushing out. However, after spending 1.5 hours at their shop, my dog looked clean but curiously thick-haired, and hair was falling off of him with every step. I took him home and took my brush to him (the small Ferminator meant for his breed type and size, one that I've been using successfully on him for the six years I've had him), and clumps of his undercoat began coming off. I called Metro Pups and they told me to bring him back for another brushing, but when I did, they got incredibly defensive. They told me their "commercial methodology" - blow-drying my dog as a way to de-shed him and then taking what I saw was a fairly wide-toothed comb to him - was better than mine, and that I should expect him to shed after their de-shedding methods. They even told me that yes, it does sound counter-intuitive, but that's how it is. Among the excuses: I was told that I don't know my own dog, that my brushing methods all these years are wrong, and that my dog will always shed. Oh, they also told me his hair is falling off because he is "excited." Having had Sam for six years, I know he will *always* shed, but also know from my own thorough brushings of him, and from taking him to other groomers, what a good, proper brushing looks like. This was not it. I left Metro Pups and spent 30 minutes brushing Sam, yielding a beach ball-sized pile of hair - I took a picture after I threw half of it out, but have attached here a bit of what I took off. It's clear that they did not take the time to properly brush my dog, or if they did, used methods that are not up to par. Including tip, that's $62 hard-earned dollars, plus my time, down the drain. I would not recommend this place if you expect a thorough brushing / de-shedding of your pup.
