I didn't read reviews about this place before bringing my dog here.... As I continue to read them now, I see a lot of mix reviews about this place. I took my dog (a 64-pound nonaggressive, submissive pit bull mix) for half a day daycare, when I picked him up, I was notified that he was injured from another dog who had nicked his ear... I was upset that i was not notified of the incident when it had happened. My dog had blood dripping down his ear, onto his coat.. onto my car.. and every time he shook his head it would splatter elsewhere. I was on facetime with my fiancée and we were both surprised because we expected this to be such a fun experience for our dog! he seemed under stress and rushed to get into my car on the way out literally pulling me to leave. I tried to call for the manager and didn't get a call back. I ended up emailing the manager that same evening and got a response back reporting she had been in the ER with a family member the day before and couldn't reach out to me beforehand (totally understandable so i didn't get upset about the delayed response). What I did not like, was the way she downplayed the incident and the fact that I wanted to be notified when my dog is injured in her email to me... she reported she doesn't know me well enough to know I would want to get notified but as any dog parent knows, it's the principle to know- whether its big or small- and who wouldn't want to get notified when their dog is injured. Especially as my dog was actively gushing blood from his ear. It might've not been a big wound, but it was still bleeding a lot. I took my dog to the vet, and he was put on antibiotics. The manager of this location was able to reach out to the other dog's owner to pay for my vet visit, but it was submitted to the account for future visits.. and I no longer feel comfortable leaving my dog at this place. Update: Read the owner's response but doesn't really address what I wrote. It was kind of them to accommodate us -- several other places did too, especially since you can't really schedule a skunk bath that far in advance, skunk's don't make appointments. Her comment is also defensive and inaccurate--I called them around 5 pm. She just didn't get back to us until 9:45 pm. Answering service was told 15-20 min late but didn't say that wasn't ok, I ALSO texted her as a courtesy and she said something different. Had we never texted her IN ADDITION to calling, we would've driven the 45 min to get there and then told we were too late. So much for running an "efficient" business and being "honored" by people who choose them. The Wall Street background lack of people skills is definitely not for every potential customer. Just warning those who, like me, prefer warm and informative communication especially during a moment of distress with my dog. Google reviews also show a pattern of bad, ineffective, and dangerous communication (where dogs were injured). I guess she just doesn't care. Dodged a bullet! Yikes! The owner was SUPER defensive from the jump before we even brought our dog in. That tells me the business has been criticized a lot and she's very tense about it. Not the kind of atmosphere you want for your dog. Hostile and dangerous. The people who work there probably save the place's rep but they'll come and go and it's too risky--go somewhere kinder and actually professional. read more

Terrible communication, terrible customer service and my dog was injured twice during a boarding stay and they didn't let us know. When I emailed them about it they never replied. I finally called and they said they never got my email (I doubt that very much) and that I should text them pictures of the injuries so they can send to their consulting vet for some reason? They offered no apology or concern and frankly don't seem that interested in keeping us as a customer. Really terrible way to run a business. read more

They handle our slow-to-warm up pup for everything from hikes to ride-a-longs, to long days at the day care facility, to regularly scheduled groomings. Terrible customer service for an overpriced, mediocre dog grooming company. We had services in April that were not charged on our credit card until June. When the charge came up, we thought it was a mistake because we hadn't had services there in months. So we filed a dispute with our credit card company. The owner called my husband to see why we filed the dispute. My husband wasn't aware of it so the owner said to him "Don't you communicate with your wife?" Then the owner called back and left a message threatening to send us an extra bill if they received a penalty. You can be sure we will never use this place again! read more

I did appreciate that you reached out to me, but I do not appreciate that it took for me to post something on yelp for your business to take action. If I never posted a review you, would I have offered help? As soon as my puppy was limping and peeing her self (from what you claim was excitement) staff should have quickly tried to help me or provide me a doggy wipe to clean her paws from urine (to prevent irritation). In addition, my puppy had a cut on her head, you said probably from a nail? Not sure how that could happen if they are being monitored. If a staff member saw my puppy limping, why didn't they let me know ahead of time or maybe comfort the situation with more information, instead of saying "well maybe she stepped on a rock". I'm sure if you received your puppy in the same state as I received my baby, you would've have been just as upset. I will not be taking your offer, if the situation was dealt with while I was there this would have been a totally different circumstance. read more

Pets a Go Go is truly one stop shopping for any and all pet care you need. I'd give them more stars if I could. I've used PAGG for dog walking, taxi service, grooming, daycare, training and overnight care. My husband and I adopted a dog 7 months ago and arranged for a daily Monday - Friday dog walk the moment we brought him home. Bryan is our walker and I've had the opportunity to observe Bryan with our dog (Bowie) the 1 day of the week that I work from home. Boy, does Bowie love Bryan! Bowie, like most dogs, will be apprehensive if someone just walks into our house. But, not with Bryan. Bowie runs to him with tail wagging knowing full well he's about to have a good time on a nice walk. Bryan is professional, timely, very pleasant and a trooper with the best of attitudes (even when it's pouring rain and he's soaked, he's got a smile on his face). Bryan leaves us a note every day so we know how Bowie was and what he did so there's no mystery when we arrive home. I couldn't be happier to be in Bryan's territory. We've also sent Bowie for daycare and overnight care. I've visited the facility and noted what a clean and fun place the dogs have to be in. We've also taken advantage of the taxi service which really is, as PAGG's website says, the ultimate in convenience. Taxi service is timely and dependable. One if the best things about daycare and overnight care is when your dog is returned and you see how sated they are. Bowie is SO mellow for a day or more after returning. It's no wonder though as you know he's having so much fun running around and playing while staying on site with PAGG. Bowie is a German Shepherd mix so he doesn't require complicated cuts, etc.. but he sure does shed. The furminator treatment PAGG provides really does the trick and he always looks so good and smells great when we ask for him to be groomed while staying on site. PAGG really understands that our pets are our family. Nicole who owns PAGG is the most responsive and professional service provider I think I've ever had the opportunity to hire. And, being that the service is for our furry family member, the responsiveness and "can do/no problem" style really is priceless. Nicole runs a tight ship and you can feel confident that your pet is in the best of hands. I feel truly lucky to have access to PAGG. For a long time, I couldn't find a dog walker for my pit bull, despite the fact that she is sweet, and likes kids, cats, and other dogs. So finding Pets-a-Go-Go was really a blessing! Nicole the owner is accessible for scheduling services by email, phone or text. The prices are reasonable and the services are flexible. I often contact Nicole last minute when I know I have to work late, to do either a field trip to the dogpark, or a walk, so that my doggie can get some exercise and fresh air. One thing that has scared me about dog walkers I've used before PAGG, was that you didn't really know who they were. Sometimes you didn't even know if they had come! PAGG employees have a company car with the logo, blackberry to receive/send messages, and uniforms. They also leave a note when they come and tell you exactly what they did so it's not some mystery. Joe, one of PAGG's walkers, is incredible! My dog gets excited when I say his name and runs to the door to look for him. I've also met Cesar and found him to be patient, knowledgeable, very responsible, and caring. Every employee that I've met at PAGG seems to know how to follow my directions to a tee while building a bond with my pets. I have two dogs. I brought both dogs to Pets a Go Go for a 1/2 day trial run for boarding. One of them (a female) had no problems. The other dog (a male) is very anxious especially when separated from me. So I brought him back to Pets a Go Go for several additional 1/2 days. The staff was friendly and seemed genuinely caring and concerned for my dog's wellbeing. He seemed to be adjusting pretty well so I decided it would be ok to board him. I called one day when I was away to check on them and was told that the male got a small knick on his face when he tried to get through a gate to get to his sister. When I got the dogs home, I noticed that the male was limping. I brought him to the vet the next day and found that all of his paws were raw and inflamed between the pads. Additionally, when the vet checked his face, he had several abrasions. After shaving the areas and cleaning the cuts I was horrified at what I saw...three very large cuts on his face. It seems apparent to me that the dogs are not well supervised and I will never leave my dogs here again. Lorraine K. read more

We just adopted a pitbull mix a few months ago. He was enrolled in a daycare suggested by the adoption agency right away and did so wonderfully! We never had a complaint about him the entire time he was there. He was a favorite among the staff despite his puppy energy! However, the daycare was too far from us so we tried Pets A Go Go for a day. My first experience upon speaking with them and seeing their facility was wonderful and I was excited to have a place down the road for him to go. However, when I went to drop him off I was greeted by another client in the waiting area who proceeded to ask me what breed my dog was and upon telling her a pit mix she made a horrible face and said "oh boy". I tried to not let it get to me because it wasn't a reflection of the staff or facility itself. When I called to check on him they told me he was in time out a few times because he wasn't "listening" (he's a dog!!!). They asked if he was being trained and I said yes in our home and they said we suggest he gets trained there as well as if what I was doing wasn't sufficient. They then proceeded to ask me if he was ever in daycare before (which I told them he was) and told me he's nippy with the handlers. Again, never had a complaint with the other daycare about him. He does mouth a lot at your hands if you try and pet him when he's exited (he's a puppy!!!). I found whoever I was speaking to to be very condescending and seemed to have an aversion to the dog with him only being there an hour. The gist of the conversation gave me the feeling that he was not welcome. I was disappointed to say the least. I don't want to go as far as to say it's because it's a pitbull but that's sure how it seemed. We will not be sending him here. read more

I tried calling on Thursday, August 3, 2017 to schedule a meet and greet so that we can begin pet sitting services. I did not get a return phone call so I called again on Friday, August 4, 2017 to schedule a meet and greet. Again I left a voicemail message. I finally got a return phone call. I was hoping to schedule it pretty quickly since I wanted pet sitting services on Sunday. Nicole was rude on the phone and abrasive but I continued to be patient. I understood that they were booked for the weekend so I scheduled a visit for Monday afternoon. After the phone call I discovered that they were already coming out to our property on Sunday and Monday for pet sitting services for our landlord who lives on the same property (we share a driveway). We had hoped since they were going to be there anyway that we could schedule something. My husband called back and explained that Pets a Go Go was already scheduled to be there and it would save time for everyone if they could do the meet and greet at the same time. Pets a Go Go then emailed and cancelled the visit and declined ever working with us. They offered no explanation other than the conversation was "uncomfortable" and when pressed for details trying to figure out what happened and how to resolve the situation they responded with "the details don't matter." Overall not a fan and have not and will probably not send my puppy back. While the intake staff was nice enough it was a very rushed process at drop off and when I called during the day (first time puppy mom so was a bit nervous) the owner's attitude was rushed and rude as if I was a nuisance for calling. Not the type of customer service that I am used to. I was also not too thrilled with the responses I receive when trying to inquire about how/what my puppy did during the day and was put off by the stench he had at pick-up. I would also agree with the reviewer below who mentioned billing that takes place long after the service is conducted. I recently had to call to inquire about a charge on my credit card because I thought for sure that it was a mistake. Evidently, although this was the last few days of August, it was a charge for that one time visit back in mid-July. Again, a very abrupt and non-customer oriented conversation with the owner when she unapologetic-ally stated that they are "sometimes a bit behind in billing and that I should have checked my emailed receipt to see what the charges were for." I certainly would have done that; however, I never received a receipt. I guess I just prefer a smaller, more individual approach for my puppy rather than this large-scale warehouse. read more

On behalf of my dog, I give Pets a Go Go Five stars. I have boarded my dog there during vacations. My dog is always happy to stay there. When we get out of the car, he wags his tail and is happy to go inside. That tells me all I need to know. I appreciate Nicole's diligence in assuring our dog's vaccinations are up-to-date. Towards the end of my dog's life, and he was losing his mobility and his mental faculties, Pets a Go Go's Staff treated my dog with dignity and made him comfortable. We have used Pets a Go Go for several years through November 2013. I discontinued our regular walks in December 2013 because we did not need the regular walks anymore. For the most part we were happy with the services - especially the convenience that was offered for regular and last minute needs - but unfortunately issues with Nicole (the owner) ruined the relationship this month. Invoicing for services is ALWAYS months behind. For example, on 1/20/14 I was first invoiced for services rendered the week of 11/4/13. When the invoices are ready, they are immediately charged to the card/account on file. There is no advance notice or time to review the invoice. Sometimes there are no invoices for a month and other times there are multiple invoices in a row. Invoices can be for as little as one walk or for as much as a week's worth of care. This has always been an issue for me in terms of budgeting but recently became even more of an issue in 2014. I asked Nicole to please let me know in advance when an invoice was prepared. I told her that she was no longer authorized to go into my account without advanced consent. Despite my request, she put through charges anyway. I again advised her to let me know in advance. I also asked for the total outstanding balance. She did not give me that info and instead put through 2 more charges without my consent. When I expressed how upset I was (and rightfully so, especially since I wound up being charged fees from my bank each time), Nicole told me that I ruined years of good service. I think this was really inappropriate. I tried to work things out privately but Nicole's response was not to contact her anymore (although she did contact me via email with a very unprofessional comment after she asked me not to contact her). I have not disputed any charges and Pets a Go Go has been paid for all services rendered. I do not dispute that they are entitled to be paid - my complaint is that they should not feel they are able to continuously auto charge clients who have withdrawn that authorization. And they should not get nasty when a client complains. So a word of advice - if you choose to use Pets a GoGo, do NOT ever give authorization for them to automatically charge your card/account. NICOLE'S RESPONSE BELOW HAS MANY UNTRUTHS. I HAVE INCLUDED MY RESPONSES TO HER COMMENTS HERE: - THEY OFFER LAST MINUTE REQUESTS AS PART OF THE SERVICES THAT THEY OFFER ALL CLIENTS. THAT DOES NOT MAKE ME A PROBLEM CLIENT. - I HAVE NEVER RAN A 1000+ BALANCE. EVER. I HAD A LARGE BALANCE ONCE FROM A BOARDING STAY THAT I WAS NOT BILLED FOR UNTIL MONTHS LATER. THAT CHARGE CLEARED MY ACCOUNT THE DAY THAT IT WAS BILLED. - THE PAST TWO MONTHS ALL TRANSACTIONS CLEARED ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT EXCEPT ONE. - THEY DID NOT TERMINATE SERVICES - I DID THAT IN DECEMBER WHEN I DID NOT NEED THEM ANYMORE. NICOLE TERMINATED THE "RELATIONSHIP" AFTER I COMPLAINED ABOUT HER CONTINUING TO AUTO-CHARGE MY ACCOUNT. - I HAVE NOT DISPUTED ANY TRANSACTIONS. - I HAVE NEVER ASKED FOR CALL/TEXT/EMAIL EACH TIME BEFORE CHARGING. I ASKED FOR THE INVOICE BEFORE CHARGING. - MY BILL IS GENERALLY $77. - I DID NOT ENJOY A "LUXURY" OF USING THEM FOR VACATIONS FOR YEARS. THEY ONLY OPENED THEIR BOARDING A YEAR AGO AND I USED THAT ONCE. - I DID NOT MAKE NUMEROUS "THREATS". I SENT ONE EMAIL REQUESTING THAT THEY CREDIT THE FEES I WAS CHARGED AS A RESULT OF THE UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS. read more

I've been using Pets a GoGo for a while now and have always loved them. In the last week the team really went above and beyond. I had reached out saying I would need help with coverage when my would go into labor. The owner, Nicole, not only was fully on board, but also offered suggestions to help the process of introducing my pup to my newborn. Once the baby was born, the PAGG team was provided a blanket, which they had my dog sniff every day before coming home. They are so reliable- never letting us down in a pinch or an emergency, taking sweet, loving care of our old girl, even providing medication and in-home care when a family vacation and dog illness converged. Let me start by saying that I am not the type of person to write a negative review online, send my food back at a resturant or complain to management about poor service. It takes quite a bit for me to get to that point and as a matter of fact, this is the FIRST time I have ever written a negative review. Pets A Go-Go is a completely unprofessional establishment from the owner, right on down to her "managers". RUDE, INCOMPETENT and COMPLETELY LACKING ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE WHAT SO EVER. The owner Nicole acts like a spoiled child whenever you even nicely try to speak with her about any issues. If you're anything like my wife and I, we consider our dogs like members of our family. When they are in someone elses care, we worry about them like they're our children. Pets A Go-Go never answers their phones, even when your dogs are in their care. When you leave a message, they may or may not return your call in a timely fashion. My last and final experience with them, I called twice in a 4 hour period and never recieved a call back. I was calling to let them know I could pick them up earlier and to see if they were ready as we requested they get a bath. When I finally decided to just drive over there to see if they were ready, they had been done and waiting for an hour and were sitting in crates. When I asked her "manager" Tom why no one called me back, he told me "oh, that phone rings all the time, I never answer it. He was completely rude and has no business dealing with customers. When I asked Nicole why I didn't recieve a call back, she said, "It was my 9 year old daughters birthday party and I was busy". I have never dealt with such poor customer service in my life. She spoke to me as if she were doing ME a favor by taking care of my dogs, even though we've been going there for two years and spent thousands of dollars. I will never use their service again and I would advise anyone to save yourself a great deal of aggrivation and avoid this place at all costs. read more

Hi everyone. My parents and I came back from vacation to a disturbing site. We had hired Pets a Gogo to take care of our two cats for 4 days. We came home to one of our cats being closed in a bathroom without food, water, or litter. He ran out terrified and there was dry poop all over the bathroom. The wet food in the other room was extremely dry which means the cats had not been fed in over a day. The poop was also extremely dry which means our cat was locked in the bathroom for over a day. We then called the owner, Nicole, to tell her what happened. She said, "I'm sorry you feel he was stuck in the bathroom but our employee came today." It was a fact that he was locked in the bathroom. In addition, we know the employee did not come to the house today because again the poop in the bathroom was dry and they did not return our garage clicker as agreed. Not only did the employee not come and our cat was locked in a bathroom, but there was a note that a different employee who we did not meet had come instead. The best dog walkers ever! My dog sits and waits for his walker at the window. He is so excited to see his walker, Christine, every day! Even my two cats come out to say hello and get a quick treat from Christine. On a few occasions I have had to call or email a request for an emergency pet visit, and pets a go go has always come through. When I can't get home to take care of my pets, I know that I can reach someone to fill in for me that my pets will love. read more

Pets-a-go-go has been walking our Bernese Mountain Dog, Abby, for almost three years now and we are very pleased with their services. Abby gets a mix of shorter walks a couple of days a week and longer hikes a couple of days and we always get a note with info on what she did. The hikes have been really beneficial for us as they trained Abby to do off-lease walking so she sticks right with us and comes when she's called. Before going on hikes with pets-a-go-go, we were nervous about this so their training has been so helpful! We moved from Westchester to Stamford, CT and were so happy that pets-a-go-go was able to continue to provide services because they have such a broad network. Another great aspect is the flexability of scheduling mentioned by some of the other reviewers. I can email/text the owner, Nicole that morning and asked for an extra walk, and it has never been a problem. If I decide to work from home and don't need the service, it is no problem cancelling for the day. We also had a friend's dog stay with us, and she were welcomed along on the walks and it was easy to include her. read more

Completely unreliable, unprofessional and I am writing this review to warn others!! I know it is lengthy but please read if you are even considering this company, I am sure you will think twice after you do!! After researching and looking at reviews, I contacted Pets a Go Go a month before my scheduled trip. Spoke to the owner Nicole on the phone at length, gave her the dates and service I was interested in (in this case overnight stays which they advertise) and the location of my home. She went into great length as to what the service included, the price and how they GPS tracked their employees to ensure they were at your house when they were supposed to be (in this case overnight). After ending the conversation she emailed me all the forms that needed to be filled out with all my contact information, information on my 2 dogs and detailed information on my home. Also on these forms, the service requested, the exact dates of service, etc. After filling these out completely and returning she scheduled the "Meet and Greet" with the assigned sitter. The sitter arrived at the scheduled day and time and we spent over 30 minutes with her giving her a complete tour of our home, going over the specifics of the dogs and even asking the sitter if it bothered her if the dogs slept in the bed with her, as this is what they were used to (again confirming the overnight care) to which she replied that it was fine and she was used to this. The sitter then left our home and asked for the house key, which of course we gave her. One day later I received an email from Nicole saying that "she did not have the resources for overnight care and if she had known that this was the type of service we were interested in she would not have wasted any ones time" She had ALL my contact information including multiple contact phone numbers and she cancelled this on me via EMAIL!! She knew the dates and service we were interested in both verbally and in writing, not to mention we went over with the sitter the overnight care and she still asked for and left with our house key KNOWING that she could not provide the service!! This was done 11 days prior to our scheduled departure causing us to cancel our trip. These people were in possession of our house key for 72 hours before it was returned, were given a detailed tour of our home and also know we were planning to be out of town. I have spoken to other pet/house sitting services and every one of them was shocked when I relayed this exact story. I plan on posting this review everywhere I can and also file a complaint with the BBB so other pet owners do not go through the same thing with this company. In response to Nicole's comments: #1 Sorry to say it is a lie that you were not aware of the overnight services wanted during the initial phone call as I had another person on the line who will verify as such that you were fully aware of it, why else would you go into such detail and quote us the overnight rate. #2 Why if you claim the sitter knew there was a problem would she ask and accept a housekey without even mentioning there was an issue. #3 With you 700+ customers, do you often cancel the service via email rather than a phone call when you have ALL the client's contact phone numbers knowing full well the trip is in 11 days? I don't think I need to say anything else, your actions in this speak for themselves. Buyer beware! read more
