My sister and her husband recommended Karen to us when we moved into the area, and to say she is an incredible human who has a gift with animals would be an understatement! She took the time to get to know us and our two dogs, Luna and Ralph. Our one dog, Ralphie, is a very special boy who has a ton of anxiety and is very fearful of humans. I can't say enough good things about Karen and Karen's K-9 Way. We bring our puppy to Karen three mornings a week for playdates. Magnolia can barely control her excitement in the car on the way over. Once there, under the caring eyes of Karen, Magnolia spends a couple of hours running around and playing with an assortment of pups in Karen's fenced in yard or, if the weather is bad, romping around her dog-proof living room. (Karen thoughtfully sends photos and videos, and we see just how happy Magnolia and all the pups are under her care.) Magnolia always leaves Karen's happy and exhausted. Her long afternoon naps make it easier for my husband to get his work done at home. But Karen doesn't just provide awesome playdates. When my husband was away and I was at work all day, Karen came to our house to make sure Magnolia and our big old guy, Beckett, got some exercise and a chance to relieve themselves. We had the pleasure of leaving our Husky/Lab mix with Karen this weekend. I never thought I would ever use the word "pleasure" with leaving our dog anywhere. We found Karen on Yelp after a couple of Kennels said they weren't open on Sundays or Presidents' Day which would mean we'd have to wait until Tuesday to pick up our do.. something we did not want to do. So thankful the Kennels were not flexible with their pick-up times or we might not have found Karen. We'll only use Karen going forward! She suggested we meet the week before at her house. We brought Leia over and she hit it off right away with Karen's dog, Sam. Leia had a blast playing with her. We knew instantly it was the right fit. Karen is incredibly knowledgable and super dog savvy. You can tell that this is truly her passion and she loves what she does. We dropped Leia off on Friday night and while we missed her, we did not worry about her as we knew she was having a great time with her new best dog friends! Karen sent us updates, pictures and videos! It was such a relief to get updates on her and be able to see what a great time she was having! I actually think she had more fun than we did!
