She called us shortly after we reached out and told us exactly what to do. She had us head back to the trail head with some dirty clothes and stinky food. We waited for about 3.5 hours and we heard the best sound in the world, scratching at the door and whining. Suzie had made her way back to us. She was a bit skittish, but we were able to get her into the car 14 hours after she ran off. We would never have known to try this technique if it were not for Nicole. Thanks to her out nightmare was short lived and Suzie is now home resting with us and her sister. Thank you so much Nicole! Every…read moresingle employee I interacted with was clearly passionate about finding homes for the dogs and cats in the shelter. Animals are taken care of here, and the location is clean. They were thorough, thoughtful and communicative in spite of how busy they are. If you are seriously interested in adopting, you'll want to fill out the paperwork in advance. There is an onsite veterinarian staff that does a check up on all of the animals. My dog was neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and tested for all of the major diseases all before becoming available to adopt. I knew his medical history, his temperament and how he interacted with other dogs before going home with him, plus I was given all of my dog's original vet paperwork (from his entry into the pound offsite until adoption). They even gave him a bag of toys, food and a sweater to keep warm! It was clear that the staff cared about my dog. I am so grateful Father John's kept him healthy and safe. They run on donations, and I am so happy I found my dog there!
