This has become our go to place for the dogs when we travel without them. The team here is great…read moreand they seem to really care about the animals. Hours work pretty well when we fly out. If you are early for boarding, there is an extra fee, but cheaper than an extra night stay, so worth it. They also have grooming services that have been good.

I would like to start off that I once praised this place but then I took my yorkie there and he…read morecame back with kennel cough, no big deal, it happens but then fast forward 2 months, I took him for doggy day care and he really did not want to stay, I just felt something was wrong so upon picking him up later that afternoon I walked to the back kennel and saw my boy desperate to leave, long story short we all know our pets very well, this wasn't a "hey happy to see you" it was like a desperate plea to get him out of there, now to be fair before I point out the disgustingly dirty kennel and lack of supervisory, they leave the small dogs mostly unattended, even though my dog was attacked by a bigger frenchie and I had voiced my concerns, Today I had to rush my doggie back to the vet with a serious case of kennel cough to the point he is having trouble breathing. I will not be taking him back, ever. There is so much more to the story as I have talked to other dog parents about kennel cough at this place. Seems like a couple of other reviews mention this. I have taken him to another daycare when I lived near Elmwood Park and I have never had this issue and right away I notice that this other daycare always had someone watching the dogs at all times and their cameras always worked . I do not recommend this place for small dogs.

I don't normally write negative reviews, but my recent experience with All Love Pet Services was…read moredeeply disappointing and, frankly, concerning. I had previously hired Brenda (business owner) and her husband to walk my dog with no issues, so I trusted them again for a multi-day dog-sitting job while I was out of town. While I was away, Brenda messaged me saying my dog had an "upset belly but he's okay." Something about that didn't sit right with me, so I made the difficult decision to cut my trip short and drive 14 hours home. When I arrived around 1:00 a.m., I immediately knew something was wrong. As soon as I opened my door, I was hit with an overwhelming smell of dog diarrhea. Inside, I found three large stains on the carpet and remnants of diarrhea inside and outside of my dog's crate. While I was standing there in shock, a man suddenly came up my private staircase behind me and walked into my apartment unannounced. He appeared very unwell and said he was there to walk my dog -- at 1 a.m. When I asked why he was coming in the middle of the night, he told me, "This is the normal time we walk the dogs," and that my dog had been "sick, sick, sick." I was never informed that my dog was this ill. I sent him home immediately, shaken and upset. When I contacted Brenda, she told me their dogs follow an "8-hour walking schedule" -- 9 a.m., 5 p.m., and 1 a.m. That made no sense, especially for a dog with an upset stomach who should've been let out more frequently. This was neglectful and irresponsible. Brenda initially refused to refund me. After further discussion, she reluctantly agreed to a small $25 refund but even spelled both my first and last name incorrectly on the money order she had mailed to me. She also mentioned that her husband -- who she admitted was very sick and had surgery scheduled the next morning -- was the one sent to walk my dog. She was trying to make me feel guilty for the job she agreed to do. That was unfair to him and completely unprofessional. I tried to give Brenda the benefit of the doubt despite seeing another concerning review before I hired her, but I regret not taking it more seriously. This experience was stressful, unprofessional, and could have ended badly for my dog. If you care about your pet's well-being and safety, please think twice before using this service.

I can't recommend Nancy at Know Your Dog Training highly enough…read more After doing extensive research to find the right trainer, I'm so glad I found Nancy. From the beginning it was clear that she has a deep understanding of dogs and brings a calm, confident, and professional approach to everything she does. My dog Kane completed a training program with her, and I was extremely impressed with the experience and the results. Nancy takes the time to truly understand each dog and provides the kind of structure, guidance, and consistency that helps dogs thrive. Since then, Nancy has also become my trusted go-to whenever I travel. Knowing Kane is in her care gives me tremendous peace of mind. He always comes home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. What really sets Nancy apart is the level of attention and personalization she provides. This isn't a typical boarding situation -- she genuinely gets to know the dogs she works with and creates a thoughtful, structured environment for them. Nancy is trustworthy, caring, extremely knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what she does. I'm very grateful I found her and would recommend Know Your Dog Training without hesitation to anyone looking for a skilled trainer or a safe, reliable place for their dog while they're away.

Nancy was referred to me by another trusted dog trainer I worked with in the city, and I'm so glad…read moreshe was. Having a city dog isn't easy -- our 4-year-old Wheaten Terrier (female) has tons of energy, a stubborn streak, and some anxiety and reactivity issues around other dogs. We were looking for help with leash training and overall confidence, and Nancy was the perfect fit. From the very first interaction, Nancy was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She clearly loves what she does and cares deeply about every dog she works with. I enrolled our pup in a month-long board-and-train program while I was getting married, and Nancy made the experience completely stress-free. She stayed in constant communication, sending regular updates, photos, and videos that showed the progress and the specific behaviors being worked on -- plus advice for us as owners to reinforce at home. When our dog came back, the difference was night and day. She's calmer, more responsive, and walks beautifully on a leash with far fewer distractions. Her reactivity around other dogs has improved dramatically, and she seems much more confident overall. Even after the program ended, Nancy went above and beyond -- she included additional follow-up lessons at no cost and still checks in to see how things are going. Her board-and-train setup is amazing too: the dogs aren't kept in kennels but get to enjoy the outdoors, sunshine, and plenty of attention and enrichment. I can't recommend Know Your Dog and Nancy enough for anyone looking for dog training, board-and-train programs, or boarding with a personal touch. Nancy truly changed our dog's behavior -- and our lives -- for the better.

DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOG HERE - Neglectful, Disrespectful, and Deceitful!…read more Do not read the old reviews as these are the new owners! I'm writing this to warn every pet parent: do NOT leave your dog at this boarding facility. My recent experience was horrifying and heartbreaking. Animal Neglect They left my dog completely alone for over 24 hours -- no check-ins, no response to calls, texts, emails, or messages for 3+ days. I only knew something was wrong because I have an AirTag on her collar, and it showed "last seen" as 15-24 hours ago. Out of desperation, I had to pay a friend to do a welfare check. He waited hours before someone even showed up. Their excuse? They "lost the work phone." No apology. No concern. Just complete irresponsibility. When I finally picked up my dog, she was underweight, starving, and developed hot spots all over her body -- which she has never had before. Price Scams and Deceit They tried to charge double for one night of boarding, claiming one night equals two -- even though past receipts and their own website clearly state a 24-hour stay is one night. When I showed old receipts, the owner/manager admitted "those were employee mistakes" and refused to honor them. They also increased the price of a mandatory bath from the quoted $45 to $100, after the fact. Her nails weren't even trimmed, as promised. When we disputed the bait-and-switch, the manager began yelling and demanding more money. We threatened to call the police, and only then did they finally charge the correct amount. Final Warning This business is being run by new owners who are disorganized, disrespectful, and dangerous. They appear to have no insurance, and the area where dogs sleep is alarming and unsafe. My poor dog suffered -- and I'm sharing this so yours doesn't have to.
