The salon was extremely clean and actually smelled good surprisingly. Steph explained to me the cut she thought would be best and we went with her recommendation. When I came back and saw Oona, she looked beautiful! I loved the cut. They mentioned to me that my baby had diarrhea and was vomiting throughout the visit , but I was extremely grateful that instead of being annoyed or shaming her, they genuinely cared about her and showed concern. Thankfully that all went away by the next day, and the vet thinks it was just nerves. Once again, this place was just wonderful from beginning to end. Steph is an all star! If you're thinking about bringing your fur baby here, do it! You truly won't regret it.

Nail trims have always been a huge issue for us, especially at the vet. They would leave his nails too long, and over time the quick kept growing out, turning his nails into literal bear claws. It got to the point where I didn't think we'd ever get them back to a normal, healthy length. I originally found Jess for my labradoodle Mabel and just happen to ask her about my Louie's nails . Not only did she trim his nails as short as safely possible, she did it with incredible gentleness and patience. Louie was calm, comfortable, and completely at ease -- which NEVER happens. But what truly sets Jess apart is her knowledge and care. She's actively working on helping the vein recede over time so his nails can return to a normal length instead of those "eagle talons." Who even does that?! That level of attention, skill, and dedication is so rare. Jess doesn't just groom -- she genuinely cares about your dog's long-term health and comfort. I have no issue with the price - I read other reviews where clients complain about the charges but they need an education. I guess this place has more customers than they can handle (great!) which was borne out by my impression of a lack of customer service - otherwise I would give 5 stars. The only issue I had is as follows: Bottom Line- is the cat made it out alive - with only two nails cut and bleeding so we should be thankful. Other than that he was clean and fur trimmed and smelled of roses - I did want to address the bleeding nails issue though and called back to speak to Bianca the owner and left two messages with the receptionist for her but no return call. Unimpressed with this. Customer advice now: If your groomer injures (or cuts accidentally) any pet, I as they owner like to be the first to know - tell me when I arrive to collect little Schnoz, and not have me find out when I get home and the cat winces when I pick her up and I see blood on her paws. I'm not being too dramatic either - just tell me when I come to collect the animal... like: "Hi Mr Blobby, I'm afraid Bob our groomer had a little difficulty bathing your cat Schmucko, and when clipping his nails, two of them were cut a little too close to the quick and bled a but please don't worry, he's fine now but we apologize- and be assured he will probably do better next time once he's more familiar with our staff...." Now if you told me something along those lines when I arrived to collect little Schmucko - fine....I'd be absolutely fine with it. By the way I am a military veteran so used to seeing a bit more than Fido's uncomfortable toes - so please know I'm definitely not being overly dramatic at all- it's all relative. I was more upset that I wasn't told promptly and didn't get a call back from the owner. The cat can and will get over it! As for the staff - no one has "time" for the customers as they are so busy. Again, customer service would do well here because clients need to be reassured of quality service and prompt and efficient grooming. Having been told "one hour" but in the end it took three hours: not a biggie again but do try and manage customers' expectations. Tell me' "It may take three hours but we might be done earlier and will let you know." The reception rooms smells bad - dog and cat funk and wet matted hair and poop all mixed together. Get the ventilation going. As I said, the cat made it out in one piece so we will return again but not for a while. It would have been nice to get a call back. One week later and I don't think it's going to happen.

Julie's dog comes to work with her and she's a doll too! At other salons, I've picked up my dog after the appointment and she's visibly distressed for the rest of the day. Julie called me to let me know Layla was close to being done and when I arrived, Layla was hanging out behind the desk, comfortable behind a playpen gate (but not in a kennel) next to Julie while Julie was working on her next dog client. Layla was happy and has never looked better! Julie books pretty far out, but if you make your next appointment when checking out, you'll have no issues. we can't wait to visit again!

I can't say enough amazing things about this place…read more We have a five year old Vizsla, named Parker. Vizsla's, as a breed, should not be groomed. It ruins their skin or something. I don't know. She does need her nails cut frequently though...they grow crazy fast! So when we lived in NYC, we had Parker's day care cut her nails periodically, and we were never part of the process. We moved to Westchester and now have a dog walker, so no day care to cut her nails. Instead, we tried to have the vet cut them, which was disastrous. Parker is a real nut job lunatic about having her nails cut, and our usually sweet girl bears her teeth and tries to kill whoever is wielding the clippers. (She's 60 pounds of pure muscle. She could 100% take you and me out.) Since that didn't go well at all, we decided to give Groom Spot a try since they are close to our house and we like to support local businesses anyway. You guys. Julie and Larry are the dog whisperers. Julie is THE ONLY one who can cut Parker's nails. My husband and I usually take Parker over to them together, we don't have an appointment, but Julie and Larry stop what they are doing and take Parker in right away to clip her nails. Larry puts a muzzle on Parker (don't judge us, it's completely necessary) and my husband and I hold her down. But honestly? Julie usually has two feet clipped short and DONE before Parker even realizes what is happening. She doesn't really have much chance to freak out. And Parker is really smart (not just saying that because I'm her mother). The back two legs are usually a struggle, but Julie expertly and quickly handles it. We never have to come back another time, they have never not taken us, and they are two of the kindest, most professional people in this business. They are always smiling, and I don't think I would if I were them, Parker is a real pain in the rear when it comes to her nails. And as soon as they are done they tell Parker how good she is and give her a treat, commending her on her performance, which is completely unjustified. They just love dogs that much. I mean, totally same. Of note, we have tried to cut her nails on our own at home and NO WAY is that happening. I could write a great deal about all the types of tools and methods we have tried, to no avail. I don't know what we would do without Julie and Larry to take care of this for us. Bring your pets in! They are the best.

What to do??? Thankfully a friend of mine recommended Le Beastro. I called and they were able to accommodate the guys within a few days notice. When we dropped the dogs off we were immediately impressed with the place. It was clean, beautiful, and we felt comfortable leaving them with the lovely staff. We had to call after some time because we tend to worry - they were supportive and gave us a window as to when they'd be done. Apparently the block had lost power and they were slightly behind. We appreciated their patience with our call. When we picked the guys up they looked amazing. Fresh haircuts, expertly done. Although this place is about 25 minutes away, it's worth it. This time my poor little is not herself…read more Sadly she is experiencing some back issues which is keeping her from moving around comfortably. She lays down then upon trying to get up she struggles. So I called Lisa and explained the situation to her so when I drop off my dog they know what to expect. Got to say Lisa has such a great staff. When I arrived there was no issue one of the groomers came right and picked up my dog very carefully and brought her in to get prepped for grooming. Honestly I did not know what to expect with regards to how she was during the time she was being groomed. Apparently she did really good, no squirming, no wincing or crying in discomfort. It pays to always communicate any problems concerns or issues before you drop your dog off this way everyone is on the same page. Great job Le Beastro!
