Okay I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record! This time my poor little is not herself. Sadly she is experiencing some back issues which is keeping her from moving around comfortably. She lays down then upon trying to get up she struggles. So I called Lisa and explained the situation to her so when I drop off my dog they know what to expect. Got to say Lisa has such a great staff. When I arrived there was no issue one of the groomers came right and picked up my dog very carefully and brought her in to get prepped for grooming. Honestly I did not know what to expect with regards to how she was during the time she was being groomed. Apparently she did really good, no squirming, no wincing or crying in discomfort. It pays to always communicate any problems concerns or issues before you drop your dog off this way everyone is on the same page. Great job Le Beastro! read more

Taking dogs for grooming is stressful. We had a groomer where we live in the Bronx groom our dogs for a few years. After she told us she couldn't groom anymore I was in a tailspin. What to do??? Thankfully a friend of mine recommended Le Beastro. I called and they were able to accommodate the guys within a few days notice. When we dropped the dogs off we were immediately impressed with the place. It was clean, beautiful, and we felt comfortable leaving them with the lovely staff. We had to call after some time because we tend to worry - they were supportive and gave us a window as to when they'd be done. Apparently the block had lost power and they were slightly behind. We appreciated their patience with our call. When we picked the guys up they looked amazing. Fresh haircuts, expertly done. Although this place is about 25 minutes away, it's worth it. They do a great job here and employees are very friendly, but what got me to write this review was how good of a job they did when my dog was quite matted. I really thought they would have to shave him down to the skin, but they did such a good job and managed to get rid of all the mats while still keeping him cute. They also send your pup home with a cute little bandana! I definitely recommend this place, but know that they're always booked out for weeks, so schedule accordingly. read more

They do such a great job with my goldendoodle here. She always comes back looking so cute - they do their best to preserve her floof instead of automatically saying it needs to be clipped short. No one is happy when a doodle needs to be clipped down to the skin, which has never happened to us here. I also love that they have a mini parking lot right next door to make dropoff and pickup super easy. read more

I am reviewing this in the first few weeks of the NY compulsory stay at home orders due to the pandemic. Regrettably, I should have written this months ago. Lisa, the owner is currently hard at work trying to service our precious pets and her precious clients, as they are certainly essential for all of us to survive. In the past, Le Beastro has been the only place my cockapoo is not petrified of being left at and experiences no ptsd upon arrival. I can only conclude that through the last five grooming appoints, the tender care and energy that permeates this small, lively, and clean establishment, is all anyone can hope for in a super trustworthy pet salon. I have been using Le Beastro for many years now; ever since my first dog, Bella. Bella was a very sweet and timid Black Lab. Lisa always welcomed Bella with the utmost love and kindness, and Bella became quite happy when not only going to, but coming home from the groomers. I now take my very sweet and jolly Pitbull mix, and my terror of a Terrier mix to Le Beastro. My Terrier can be quite difficult to approach - let alone groom. I knew the only one I could trust, who would have the utmost and needed patience, and who would take the gradual time needed for our Lucky to warm up, would be Lisa. I was so impressed with Le Beastro. After a vacation that we took, we came home to our long haired cat full of matted fur. This is the first time anything like this had ever happened, and I didn't know what to do. She is almost 9 years old and had never been to a groomer before. After researching on the internet, I realized a groomer was the only thing we could try safely. I called Le Beastro and spoke with Lisa. She was able to get my cat in the same day. I was very nervous, because my cat does not even tolerate brushing or nail clipping well at home. I thought for sure I would get a call that my cat was impossible and my only option would be to take her to the vet to be taken care of under anesthesia. That did not happen... Instead, Lisa and her team were able to shave her, clip her nails, trim between her paws, giver her a bath and clip her nails. My cat came home a little freaked out, but so happy to be home and free of the mats. I will definitely be taking her back. I am absolutely amazed about this. Also, I have never been to a groomer before, but I was expecting the bill to be a lot higher (which is my experience with any services I have done in Rye). Thanks Lisa! read more

I will not be using Le Beastro to groom our dog ever again! I have a 9 year old, very sweet, very loving Tibetan Terrier. A friend told me about Le Beastro and since I was driving a very long distance to have my dog groomed I decided to give them a try. About 5 weeks ago when I brought my dog to Lisa for the first time he had very long hair and was fairly matted. I should also mention that my dog does not love to have his matts combed through and wines and complains, as most do. This was a typical problem we had with him so Lisa convinced me to try out a shorter cut to avoid the matts. I went with Lisa's suggestion and was thrilled with my dog's new cut! He was so much easier to take care of and the matting problem was under control. I was excited that I had found a convenient new groomer. I brought my dog back to Lisa this week for the 2nd time. He had only 5 weeks of hair growth and 2 small matts that would have taken me about 10 minutes to get out. Shortly after I dropped him off Lisa called me to complain about his matts. My husband and I were very surprised since we actually thought he was in great shape. Considering the mess she had to deal with the first time she had him it struck me as peculiar. Lisa talked to me about how expensive it was going to be because of his matts (he now has 50% less hair than the first time she had him) and how much work it was for her. She was not happy that he didn't like having his 2 small matts combed through and didn't like that he cried. I told her to do whatever she needed to do and if she had to cut him even shorter that was fine and I would pay whatever it cost. Then Lisa told me that if I brought my dog to her like this again she would refuse to groom him. I guess her business is doing really well since she can tell customers she doesn't want them to come back but I was upset and surprised. I had my husband pick up my dog because I didn't want to be yelled at by Lisa. I didn't want to be scolded by the groomer I was paying $96 to groom my 20 pound dog who has a puppy cut and 2 small matts. This wasn't the end of my bad experience. When my husband went to pick up my dog he tried to joke with Lisa and she was rude to him and also told him that she wasn't interested in our business if we brought our dog to her with matts. I'm upset because I liked the way my dog looked after the first time he went to Le Beastro but I'm too scared of being yelled at by the owner to ever go back. read more

I took my 5 month old Jack Russell puppy here for her first grooming appointment ever. My puppy has separation anxiety and was convulsing with nervousness as we walked in. Every staff member was SO KIND and came over and gave her treats and made her feel comfortable. They brought out a groomer who has her own Jack Russell, and my puppy immediately connected with her. I had been so worried about leaving her at the groomer since she usually cries and screams without us, but she didn't even look back as the groomer carried her in. We have brought our dogs here 3 times to get groomed. You can really tell that they love dogs. I like that you can see into the room where they groom the dogs and you can see how well they are cared for. I have never had to wait more that a few days to get them in for a grooming and when we had one unfortunate bout with fleas, they found space for us the same day. The hair on our cat Gigi (medium to long hair) all of a sudden became matted. I was a bit uneasy about getting her groomed. (little skittish - Gigi, not me) Someone recommended Le Beastro. They do a good job grooming and the price is in line with the area. However, the first time I brought my dog in, she left with a cut on her belly, which they cleaned and put ointment on. The second time, my poor pup was there for almost 8 hours. I dropped her off at 8:30 a.m., but they were fully booked and she wasn't done until about 4:15. That said, it is clean and they are friendly, but I won't leave my dog to be crated for that long. read more
