I booked our lab's first Luxe Grooming session online, and the process was incredibly simple and convenient. The text messages and notifications they sent were very helpful and timely. On the day of the grooming, Rachel texted me to let me know she could arrive early and asked if that was okay. She spent some time hanging out with our pup and inspected her coat before starting. I also got to see the inside of the van, which was clean. Rachel mentioned the grooming would take about an hour, and it was right on the mark. Our pup looked fresh and clean, and she was so soft -- even the bottoms of her paws were smooth. I have been dealing with this company for a few years now, and every time they have done a good job. However the last time my dog got a haircut, he got a big cut on one of his legs by one of the groomers, it was caused by clipper burn, I am not going to mention names because I know mistakes happen. When I called to a refund or partial refund, Eileen gave me a really hard time, spent 20 minutes on the phone with her, and she kept claiming the groomer did not do that, even though I insisted that I brushed all his fur before the haircut to make sure he did not have any knots, to make the groomers job easier as I have a golden doodle. After all that the manager called me back the next day saying there was nothing they could do for me. After spending almost $300 with them every few months and being their customer for years, the customer service sucks! I will not be using their services anymore and I recommend if you ever have any inconvenience to not even bother because they won't do anything about it. read more

We were fortunate enough to find The Ruff Life Mobile Grooming 6 years ago, in 2019. The owner, Chris Elias, has been wonderful to us over the years. He is extremely organized, professional, courteous and simply just a terrific person. We have 4 large, female and extremely furry dogs...not an easy task! However, over the years, Chris has paired our dogs with such lovely groomers. He really took the time to think about their personalities/needs and matched them to a well-suited groomer. We have never, ever had a complaint. Our current groomer, Bailey, is fabulous. She is patient, sweet, outgoing, gentle, loving and extraordinarily talented at what she does. Our 4 girls come back looking fluffy, beautifully groomed and smelling great. They adore Bailey, which as dog-parents, is beyond reassuring. Before she begins, Bailey consults quickly with us as to what is needed for that visit. Each of our dogs has their own VERY distinct personality and Bailey caters to that without blinking an eye. One of our dogs in particular, is afraid of the entire world, but Bailey says once she gets into the truck, she is such a good girl. We have such peace of mind knowing they are in Bailey's capable, caring and gentle hands. We have recommended The Ruff Life Mobile Grooming to many people over the years and will continue doing so in the future. THE ABSOLUTE WORST GROOMING EXPERIENCE EVER! Vanessa cut my dog's nails, and I have no idea what she did in that van, but when I got my dog back, she was shaking uncontrollably in sheer terror! Her nails were cut so brutally short that she couldn't even walk--she was clearly in excruciating pain. This was pure negligence! If you care about your dog's well-being, avoid Vanessa at all costs. Angel did an AMAZING job on my 9 year old wooly Siberian Husky. He looks gorgeous! His coat is soft, glossy and clean, he is perfectly trimmed and he came back with an adorable giant bow. Most importantly, he is HAPPY. He was rescued from an abusive home and is usually very shy and cautious around people he does not know. However, within minutes of meeting Angel, he was kissing her and he was clearly very comfortable with her because he pranced out of the mobile grooming van with his tail wagging. On a personal note, Angel is a pleasure to work with - she was very responsive regarding scheduling and the timing of her arrival, and stayed in touch with me during the grooming so that I knew my dog was doing well. The Ruff Life is a wonderful company and I am so glad I found Angel. She is patient, kind and gentle and I can't imagine entrusting my dogs to anyone else! read more

My grand-puppy, Piper is a 2 y.o. Labradoodle, so you are probably aware that she thinks she is of royal blood and that is how Angel treats her. They have a great relationship and I am so impressed That Piper loves Angel and gets excited when she sees her. Piper always looks like a show dog after her appointment. The van is always very clean....spotless, which is of importance to me. Not to mention the great convenience of a "house call". I babysit for Piper frequently So I have really gotten to appreciate Angel, the convenience and most important, the way Piper is treated. They say everyone on their staff is shown on their website, zoom into the second picture and look at the individuals in the car, can any of you find anyone on their website that looks anything like that ? (Also screenshots below of their entire team posted on their website) They say no one is employed matching my description, well check the website for yourself and you will see no one resembling the 2 men in the car which they claim dont exist, yet are in their car that they apparently don't let any unauthorized people in? I wouldn't trust this company with the change in my pocket. (There is 1 man on their page but he is neither in the 2nd pic I posted below) DO NOT Under no circumstances ever trust your dog with this place. Within 5 minutes I told the workers to leave my house and cancel the appointment. I gave them a try for the first time after finding them on instagram. If you look at their website it's all woman who look appropriate like they do it for living, and they decide to send 2 men who looked like they were under the influence and were slurring their words. Then they also tried telling me that I wasn't allowed in the truck at all with the dog? And they had to pick her up and close the door with them in there alone? And on top of that one of the first things the dude asks me is how old she is, then when I say she is 8 years old he started talking about how she's about "at her expiration date". Then after telling them to leave my house and calling for a refund, I find out from the manager that one of those guys wasn't even an authorized worker by them? So I was about to lock my dog in a car with someone who doesn't even work for them who looked heavily under the influence ? I wish there was honestly some kind of police report I can do, I've never felt more uncomfortable In my entire life. We have it on our ring camera, I'm absolutely shocked this company would allow something like this, and thank lord I was home and it wasn't my mom there. Because she would've felt totally unsafe. The first thing the other guy did when he got out the car was making weird comments about how my house looks expensive and asking what I do for living ? First time using them, Julie and Matt came. I gave Julie a piece of paper stating how I like my pups ears cut, to not cut the white hair off the tips of her paws, etc. What she did was amazing. The second time I wanted to use them Julie was booked, so I picked a different groomer knowing nothing about them. Through the day I got text messages that the time changed, and then it changed again and a then it changed a third time. Fortunately I was able to be home earlier as they kept changing it to an earlier time. Then I get a message that my groomers name is no longer who I picked, but now, Masha. When Masha arrived I showed her my phone wallpaper picture which was how great Julie cut my pups hair. I told her please do the same and also gave her a piece of paper w/specifics. I also told her my pups picture is on their website too. Then I walk to the van and it was this old, rusty, rundown, disgusting vehicle. Not just from the outside, the inside too. I asked why this van isn't the same as the van Julie came in the first time. She tells me she has one of the old vans. I should have done an about face right then and there w/my pup. She brought me back a barely trimmed pup, I was paying for a haircut, not a trim. My pup looked like a round ball of hair. She clipped my dogs ear hair completely off after I told her leave her hair the length of her ears just like in the picture. And this cost me $200 plus dollars for a 17.5lb. Pup. Let's not forget that I'm a Veteran and asked when I booked the first appt if they give Veterans a discount and Chris told me I'm getting a first time customer $40 discount and that they don't discount for Veterans. You have the freedom to run a mobile business because of people like me, you don't deserve any Veterans business. I will never use them again. My pups hair on her ears still hasn't grown back and she was cut 7 weeks ago. read more

Will start off by saying that our past experiences with Ruff Life, have been without incident, most recently in May and February of this year, however today's experience has ensured it is our last, after our dog was returned to us looking like my toddler got a hold of the clippers. Our pup, a 16lbs Cavalier King Charles spaniel, who is now 15 years young (believe it or not for that pic), but doesn't act a day over 9. During our last few visits we were informed by the RLM team that due to our pup's advanced age and weak hind legs which prevent him from standing for extended periods, there would be an additional fee, so the groomers could take their time - which we never took issue with but otherwise were without incident ( RLM team confirmed to me via phone today that there were no notes his file to indicate otherwise). Today's appointment began like any other, the RLM team member, Aileen, came to the door, he walked around, went to the bathroom and after he was done he went for his appointment. About 15 minutes later, Aileen returned, informing me that despite starting his haircut, she did not feel comfortable proceeding as he was slipping on the table. I asked if she considered putting a towel down to help him get traction but she did not respond (indicating that she chose not to problem solve the issue, and instead gave up after commencing the haircut). Our dog looks like my toddler got a hold of the clippers. I really don't know what to say to her. (Why not assess and determine her comfort level prior to commencing? Why not make an attempt to try and make him look somewhat decent?) I just basically said "ok, thanks...I'll call the office to speak with them" She then had the audacity to actually say "I'm not sure why you're upset with me..." and basically continued on about how difficult it was and she made the choice to not continue (recall there was no prior history of this in any past appointments) It basically seemed like she was looking for me to give her a tip. Which is wild. I spoke with Chris (not the owner) via phone who said he would try and see if another groomer was available today. He called back and said that they were not, but also based on feedback from Aileen, they couldn't do the appointment without TWO groomers on hand. At this point, I really didn't know what to say, I asked to speak with the Owner, Chris E, and was told that he would ask, but more than likely he wouldn't call me. So at the end of the day, my dog looks like a toddler cut his hair, that is run by a principal who doesn't want to be bothered by his employees actions. The reason we scheduled the appointment today is because we have 20+ people coming to our home tomorrow for a party, can't wait to tell them all what happened and they will all get to see RLM's "great" work first hand! read more
