I've been to Magic Paws twice. The first time my 3 month old puppy was not so great on the table and Antonio taught me how to help her become more accustom to being groomed. Just found out ： Miss penny is no longer working there！！！ I have always took my dog there for 4 years its always been excellent service! , but today i didnt see Penny there, and seemed the 3/4 r new employees. the new young girl works there at front desk wasnt greeting us at all, i mean we were not expected a nice welcome or anything but at least you gotta say sth , and she fgot to give us back the collar.. well, i think if there is no penny there next time, i will find a new place . read more

Today I took my dog Mack who is a yorkie there. He is a sweet dog but he has anxiety that can be mistaken for being naughty. In the past I went somewhere else but it's far and I don't live in the neighborhood anymore. We have tried a few places in between around the babylon area but Magic Paws made us feel comfortable and didn't make us feel like past places have making Mack's issues seem bigger then they are. Everyone was nice and they did exactly what we asked for. I will definitely be bringing my other dog there soon. It's nice that during such tough times you can still get such great customer service. Im a dog person but animals totally ... I really want a cat ! This is a great store for the animal lovers. An array of food and products that you can't always find. They do have cats that are loose and good tempered. Just know how your pet will react! I also like the employees knowing the pets they have. Most are cats and kittens. One tip is that I bought a collar and name tag and it was highly overpriced in comparison. The quality is amazing there and the atmosphere is also! The animals are well taken care of and they have good advice! The cats that do roam are very friendly and so sweet. It's not the usual chain branch but let's walk away from that and go to the local or semi local spots! Oh and I adopted a cat. Not from here but after volunteering. I get it , mistakes happen, but I don't like not being advised that my dog got a cut and having to find out at home after he's licking himself . Weird cuts all around . I think 3 stars is fair for this place. They do a decent job with the cuts but I seem to get a different result each time. I've been going here for probably 2 years now and never got my dog back in under 4-6 hours. Kind of a rip off too shouldn't be $80 for a haircut in my opinion. This place is TERRIBLE. They kept my dog there for 6 hours... why? I went to pick him up and saw so many red flags. My dog (1 year old hyper puppy) showed all signs of sedation, one of his eyes basically missing eye lashes and very red and closed shut and his fur was matted. Did I pay $80 for a 6 hour torture session? I would advise everyone stay away from this place. I would love for them to also get inspected. read more

I went to Magic Paws since my 15 week old Shi-poo was having issues seeing with all the hair around his eyes. I spoke and met with Penny who was great! Penny took her time to remove the hair blocking his vision and cleaned him up. I just want to start off by saying that I have a great deal of respect for the people over at Magic Paws. Especially the friendly lady named Penny who I just spoke with on the phone. I've got a 4-5yo. short-haired tabby-cat, who has been an indoor cat for 100% of his life. Since he's been an indoor cat for his entire life, he's never really been exposed to any "real" outdoor-grime that you may associate with an outdoor-cat (like dirt, mud, fleas, etc.). With all that being said, I know that a lot of sources say that cats don't really need to be bathed, unless they get into something sticky and messy that won't easily come out of their hair, since cat's are pretty self-sufficient at staying highly groomed and maintained on their own... But as a human, I still figured that after 4-5 years of having an indoor cat who likes to lay on all kinds of floors and surfaces, that he had to have some sort of accumulated dirtiness after all these years... I told Penny that I was interested in bringing him in today, and wanted to see what kind of prices would be involved to get my little guy a nice bath. I advised her that my cat is highly skittish, is pretty much deathly-afraid of anybody that's not me, still has his claws, and gave me a horrifying experience when I once tried to get him into a warm bath a few years back. I felt it was the right thing to do to give her this disclaimer so she knew what she was potentially getting themselves into. Penny told me that the full grooming package for a cat would be a little bit pricey--$125 plus tax--but that would include everything, which would be a bath, shave, nail trim, and ear cleaning. This is when I gained great respect for the people at Magic Paws, especially the very nice lady, Penny, who just helped me on the phone. She told me that if my cat is a healthy, 4-5yo. indoor cat, who doesn't specifically have any sort of pressing issues with his cleanliness, that he'd be perfectly fine without needing to come in for their services. At the end of the day, I've still never been to Magic Paws, or used any of their services beyond the simple phone call that I just made. This review is based solely on the fact that Penny didn't lie to me to have me come in and make a decent-sized sale for services that she could provide, but didn't think were necessary in my case. Her honestly and morality to the consumer is something rarely ever seen these days. Most businesses would rather lie to the consumer to make a sale, than actually do what is right for the consumer. I was so impressed by the honesty I had received on my phone call, that I called Magic Paw's back up, just to ask for that nice lady's name so that I could write this Yelp review. if i could, I'd rate this place 0 stars. I normally I dont do this but I believe my dog was injured while getting his hair cut and came home wining, I took him to the vet and he was hurt. I call them to speak about this and they didnt wish to cooporate when we asked for them to give me my money back, forget about the vet bill. So if you are looking for a $250 hair cut and a hurt dog. I was very dissappointed to see when i showed up for my scheduled appointment today and was rudely told by the man there that i did not have an appointment, no apology or anything, I was then quoted a ridiciuous price to have my dog groomed of possibly $100.00 and i have a small dog and was told another time i visited the charge would be 60.00, i was previously treated very nicely by the 2 women that would trim my dogs nails from time to time but after my negative experience today there, i will not return with my dogs and will tell my family and friends to go elsewhere too. read more

My Roxy is normally a nervous wreck when she has to get a haircut but she absolutely loves it here and doesn't feel the anxiety she had felt in other places I had taken care. My dog is always so happy when here. They definitely take care of the dogs there. Antonio is great. My dog loves him and we will never go anywhere else. She always looks great, smells great, and you can tell she even feels great. He allows the dog play time so they can feel comfortable there and what makes me happiest is in the past at other groomers id bring my dog home and she'd drink two bowls of water. She comes home now and flaunts her stuff. She comes home neither tired, thirsty or hungry. They take great care of the dogs there and they do a great job! Magic Paws is by far the cleanest, friendliest, and most professional dog grooming salon I have ever used! Prior to using Magic Paws, my dog Ginger was receiving inconsistent grooming. I hadn't found a groomer who cared enough to spend the time to get to know my dog and would not only work with the guidelines for her breed, but would groom her in such a way that not only would she look and smell amazing, but the haircuts she got were customized in a fashion that would enhance her personality! Antonio even took the most amazing photos of Ginger; he is a very gifted pet photographer as well as a very talented groomer. Ginger is no longer alive, but our current dog, a rescue, has taken quite a liking to Antonio and Magic Paws and is experiencing the love and affection that makes a good groomer a great groomer.
