I was told that I would receive a call when my dogs were ready. After about two hours, I called the salon myself and was informed that they were finished. When I arrived, it took some time before I was able to see my dogs. I was shocked to discover that both had been completely shaved. This was not what I expected, and no one had discussed this level of clipping with me beforehand. Given the freezing winter temperatures, I was especially concerned about my dogs being left with almost no coat. To make matters worse, a staff member suggested that I purchase coats for them because of the cold weather. I paid for the service and left, but I was extremely dissatisfied with the outcome. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this grooming salon. If I could give zero stars, I would.

We are beyond thrilled with Gracie Mae's first visit to Ooh La La Posh Pets Holbrook, NY location!…read moreFrom the very first phone call, we had such a great experience. Zach, the manager, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful when scheduling our appointment. He answered all of our questions and made us feel confident that Gracie would be in great hands. When we arrived, Myrna, the owner, took so much time getting to know Gracie Mae, asking about her personality, grooming history, any allergies, medical information, and exactly how we wanted her groomed. She also explained all of the wonderful services they offer and made thoughtful recommendations. You can immediately tell how much she truly loves and cares about every dog that comes through her door. Gracie Mae came out absolutely gorgeous! Her haircut is perfect, she smells amazing, and she looked so happy and comfortable when we picked her up. We couldn't stop smiling! They even put the sweetest little pink bow in her hair and a matching pink bandana around her neck, which was such a thoughtful finishing touch. Their prices are very reasonable, and they also have the cutest dresses, accessories, toys, and other goodies for your fur babies. The salon is beautiful, clean, and so welcoming. We have been searching for the right groomer since our longtime groomer left, and we are so incredibly happy to have found Ooh La La Posh Pets right here in our hometown. It gives us such peace of mind knowing Gracie Mae is being cared for by people who genuinely love what they do. We highly recommend Ooh La La Posh Pets to anyone looking for a groomer who treats your pet like family. Thank you, Zach and Myrna, for taking such wonderful care of our sweet Gracie Mae. We can't wait for her next visit!

I would absolutely recommend this groomer with NO HESITATION!! Carrie loved her day at the "doggie spa" and you could tell all of the dogs there were enjoying their spa day as well!

I left a message for Lorena yesterday and she called me right back this morning! She squeezed me in for a puppy wash, cut, nails etc.. 11:30am ( perfect, on my day off) She was kind to call me 20 mins in advance to give me a heads up to pick up. I felt she did a pretty good job. My puppy is 5 months old and this was her first professional grooming... I have taken her to the self pet wash about 3x in the past. Lorena explained to me that Vela did not like the blow dryer at all... she is correct! Vela hates the blower! The only thing that bothered me a bit was that her ears didn't look like it's cleaned.l will make sure to address this the next time and probably would like her mouth area, chin cleaned a bit better bc the area gets dirty so quickly. I didn't address any of these matters. I will make a note and express the next visit.

Hi All: I have searched a tad not only for a great groomer,…read morebut a great groomer on Long Island who does cats. ALAS!!! I've found Alex at the Pet Zone. I was driving down larkfield road in Northport during a lunch break, looked to my left and there it was, a big sign stating PET ZONE: DOG AND CAT GROOMING. On another occasion, I stopped in to get the lay of the land. In the back was owner and groomer, Alex, at work with a white poodle, grooming away. I made an appointment and brought my cat back the following week. His fees aren't exorbitant, but his patience is. During the grooming, we chatted. Alex said he's been at this location since 2004!!!! My cat, Hannah, fidgety during most of it, but basically tolerant, looked beautiful once done. What I love about Alex is that he allows you to stay with your animal during the groom. I was so appreciative of this. I've been to one other groomer ($200!. Never again) who didn't allow me to stay with Hannah. I didn't like that. Another groomer wanted to sedate her. What!!! NOPE!! Next. Another groomer wanted her uptodate on all the vaccinations. While that maybe important in some instances, who cares about that? Just groom my cat. My vet doesn't groom. He only brushes. I NEED HER GROOMED!!! Alex groomed her and clipped her nails. Fifty-five dollars plus tip. One hour later, we were out the door. Now this Pet Zone location isn't pretty. If want that, go somewhere else. If you want a groomer who is pleasant, patient and professional, hang out with Alex!! Hannah, The Beautiful Main Coon, and I did

Unfortunately, the haircut was poorly done. Our dog's hair was uneven and had no shape. Maybe the groomer rushed through the process. Please be sure to maintain very frequent communication with them if you need to wait for the pet…read moreyou would like to adopt to finish quarantine. I believed I was doing so and the puppy I was waiting for was adopted right out from under me. I have many messages between us specifying which animal I was waiting to adopt. Yet still it was adopted by someone else. There was no sense of remorse for ruining my birthday present, nor was there any remorse , more importantly, for their error. I was told to come and pick another one like it was no big deal. For me it was a big deal because I already had chosen a name for the puppy and purchased many items for that specific puppy I felt a connection with. I do not want anyone else to be treated in this harsh, uncaring way. I do not want anyone else to go through the same pain. I think what is the most hurtful is their inability to take responsibility for their error and the heartache it has caused. They simply maintained focus on some set of notes they had filled with misinformation that I was able to prove it was misinformation with photos from our thread of mesages. That in itself represents their irresponsibility and concern for client feelings I am hoping this improves their responsibility to the commitments they make, as well as the accuracy of the notes they maintain. I hope they learn to return to message threads to review the conversations they hold. These conversations contain needed information for the adoptions they conduct. I hope they learn how to rectify their mistakes and admit to them. This is a fabulous way to earn people's respect and confidence in their ability to maintain a rescue.
