My sister recently took her dog to Studio Paws, and the experience was beyond disappointing. Her dog was there for six hours, which already seemed excessive for a routine grooming appointment. When she was finally picked up, she came home with bleeding paws, was completely soaked in an overwhelming amount of perfume, and seemed genuinely traumatized. She was shaking, acting fearful, and clearly wasn't herself. To make matters worse, they barely even groomed her. The haircut looked rushed and unfinished, especially considering how long she was there. My sister also felt the staff were rude and dismissive when she raised concerns, which made the whole situation even more upsetting. I have a really strong feeling they do not treat these dogs well when they're getting groomed. Multiple people have stated, including myself, how their dog acts completely different and scared after pick up. My sister's dogs was shaking all night and not like her self AT ALL. I'm sharing this because I think other pet owners deserve to know about our experience. Based on what we saw, we won't be returning. Small Business Shoutout to Studio Paws in Lindenhurst! Long story short. Bentley is NOT an easy dog to groom. After trying + failing with a few groomers around my neighborhood in Massapequa (and being turned away because Bentley was too difficult), I was recommended Penny Studio Paws in Lindenhurst. After calling and explaining my situation with other groomers, Penny listened to my concerns, fit us right in for that day within the next hour and was such a pleasure! The space was gorgeous + clean with a clear glass wall so you can actually see what is going on. (Mind you, my last place had all the windows painted over so I only can imagine what was behind it.) Penny took her time with Bentley, allowed him to have breaks throughout the process and made sure he left fully groomed. During pickup, she gave me her honest feedback on Bentley's behavior and next steps to make his future appointments easier. In the end, I could not have asked for a better experience. I've know Penny since she worked at another grooming salon near my house. She is the only groomer who can work with my dog Nillie. She is a fantastic groomer and I was so happy to hear she opened up her own grooming salon. If you have any issue with stubborn dogs she is the right person to take your pup to. She is very kind and honestly for the fact my dog hates being groomed she knows how to handle her perfectly. I have never had a bad experience with Penny at all and I will keep bringing my dog to her for as long as I live in long island. Seriously she is the best groomer. I brought my 2 pups, Raven & Khloe in to be groomed for the first time today. Studio Paws is super clean and the staff is very friendly. They kept me updated with a photo of each dog after they were groomed and when it was time to pick them up after just 2 hours, which was quick because one is a Shorkie and the other is a Morkie so it takes time to groom them. When I picked them up they looked adorable and happy, it was more like a play date since they don't keep them in cages while there. I also like that they have to buzz you in so there's no chance of the dogs escaping the salon. I highly recommend Studio Paws. read more

Our Little "Princess" does not get along with most people and wants to fight all the other dogs she encounters. When we take her for her appointment, she goes right to the groomer with no fuss, and they keep her from interacting with the other dogs. She comes out looking great and smelling good as well. There's absolutely no other place I would bring my babies. This place is so clean, Penny loves these animals like they're her own. My dogs aren't afraid to go, they look forward to it. Studio Paws is the best grooming parlor for any size or breed of dog. I took my 132 lb Alaskan Malamute, 60 lb Husky, and 10 lb Chihuahua and they all came out so beautiful and smelling wonderful.
